Online headline/story: "Obamacare Has Unintended 'Glitch' * Some families could get priced out of health insurance due to what's being called a glitch in President Barack Obama's overhaul law. * IRS regulations issued Wednesday failed to fix the problem as liberal backers of the president's plan had hoped * As a result, some families that can't afford the employer coverage that they are offered on the job will not be able to get financial assistance from the government to buy private health insurance on their own. * The Obama administration says its hands were tied by the way Congress wrote the law." -- Hmmm, "unintended glitch"? "says its hands were tied by the way Congress wrote the law"? Three things you can bet on are that there was nothing "unintended" in the bill presented and written in the DUMBERat "super-majority" controlled Senate, and that Nancy Pelosi was serious when she wanted the DUMBERat "majority" controlled House, and thirdly, before the week is over, it will be blamed on the Republicans who had zero input in the whole process.

---

Hmmm, let's see... there's a 'glitch' in ObamaCare, unemployment is up, the last quarter of the year we had an economic contraction plus more inflation, taxes are up, housing is down, car manufacturers are recreating the conditions that caused it to collapse, terrorist activities are rampant, and the pot-US Obluster spinmeisters and mainstream media are smiling. Yep, I guess pot-US Obluster's plan for redefining America is working.

---

Addendum to above: pot-US Obluster's spinmeisters are referring to the economic contraction as a "growth pause". "Growth pause"? The 4th quarter is the one that generates most of the businesses in the US its profit for the year, and momentum for the next! "Growth pause"? Yeah, right.

---

DUMBERats have posted their own amendments to the Constitution on socialist, ooops, social media site "Reddit". The main gist is to override our 1st Amendment right to 'free speech'. I guess DUMBERats feel that if they take away 'free speech', the 2nd Amendment becomes moot since it was intended to guarantee the 1st.

Mike Tyson is telling a tale about his seeing his ex-wife 'pleasuring" Brad Pitt while parked in her car. I wouldn't put to much faith in the story... Brad Pitt is still alive.

---

Jim Nabors.... why now.....

---

A 15 year old Chicago student who performed at the last (I surely hope) inauguration of pot-US Obluster was shot dead in Chicago. pot-US Obluster... your Chicago has some of the most stringent gun laws (thought the US Supreme Court just busted some of them) in the nation, possibly the world, and even you can't stop the violence. Show us Chicago could be like Mayberry, and maybe we'll listen to your ideas about a national gun ban on law abiding citizens owning guns.

Online headline/story: "Timothy Hoag Murdered University Of Missouri Professor Jeong Hyok Im In 2005, According To DNA * COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Authorities announced Wednesday that they know who killed a University of Missouri professor in a campus parking garage eight years ago, but that they may never be able to explain the vicious attack because the suspect committed suicide last summer." -- Guess there will be an update of a favorite old game with a 'rename': "Clueless" (Liberal, in the garage with a tire tool), and somehow, I'm going to bet some lawyer will appeal this decision, and win in a California District Court on a technicality.

---

Online headline: "Wyoming House Defeats Domestic Partnership" -- Hmm, there's still some sanity in the country after all.

---

There was an awful snow machine wreck at the recent X-games. Some camera seeking idiot tried to make a snow machine do a back flip, and it ran over him. Rumor has it that ABC is trying to buy the rights to make another "agony of defeat" ad.

---

Now libs are upset that many cases of people's mental illnesses still go unreported to databases that get checked by gun background checks. Hmmm, but why is this...maybe because liberals passed such stringent privacy laws (HIPPA) that prohibit such reporting! Liberals....just wish they'd decide what they really want (then go away).

---

Republican Senator Grassley's opening statement at the Congressional Investigative Committee on Gun Control were right on! Unfortunately, Senator Grassley's words were lost on most people because he was reading them rather speaking from his heart.

---

Online story: "FBI agents late Tuesday night raided the West Palm Beach business of an eye doctor suspected of providing free trips and even underage Dominican Republic prostitutes to U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J." -- Well leave it to the party of Clinton to appoint Menendez the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.....

---

What is it with liberals that are in self-denial about out-of-control spending not being a problem? Any time your revenue is less than expenses, you have a problem. Ask anyone how a bank handles his checks when a bank account is empty. Well, don't ask just anyone, a lot of Congressmen used to use the House Bank at the US Capitol building which didn't have bounced checks or bounced check fees.

---

L-E headline: "Mom gets probation for spanking son * Judge says Conaway must not use corporal punishment against children in the future" -- And we wonder why teen males are more likely to pick up guns when they get angry and there's no discipline at home... well, for that matter, there's little or no discipline in the court system either.

---

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Secretary of State-designate John Kerry is saying farewell to the Senate. * The five-term Massachusetts Democrat was emotional at times during a speech on the Senate floor as he discussed the importance of listening and of cooperation." -- Huh? "importance of listening and cooperation"? Who does this guy think is his boss?

---

Since the L-E ran one of my letters-to-the-editor today, and took liberties with a point I make, I have attached a comment to the L-E-Online version: "Hey, L-E, if you're going to run my letters, print them as is. Editing them to your satisfaction deflects the intent of what was written. References to President Obama policies are in the acronym "pot-US" paraphrase "pot-US Obama". pot-US Obama's policies towards marijuana indifference have earned him this designation. He has authorized the AG to "pot us" and "pot the US".

Better gun control isn't going to happen by accident or more gun laws. Courts must adopt a 'zero tolerance' for illegally possessed/stolen gun use in any other crime committed. Rebuild public viewable gallows and use them as a preventive measure.

Stupid GOP faux pas - Online headline: "Lindsey Graham: Hillary Clinton 'Got Away With Murder' In Benghazi" -- The time to charge the Clintons was in Arkansas or concerning Vince Foster when the media was actually interested.

---

Online story: "State District Judge Larry Mitchell, in Dallas, rescheduled Kimberly McCarthy's punishment for April 3 so lawyers for the former nursing home therapist could have more time to pursue an appeal focused on whether her predominantly white jury was improperly selected on the basis of race." * The 51-year-old McCarthy (she'd have ben about 35 when the crime was committed) was convicted and sent to death row for the 1997 stabbing, beating and robbery of a 71-year-old neighbor." -- Would she have been less guilty if the jury had been all black/Hispanic? That's the only question the judge needed to ask of himself. After all, the judge is impugning the judgement of the non-white juror as well, and if that juror had felt differently from the others, the criminal would not have been sentenced to death.

pot-US Obluster proudly announced that the number of illegal aliens crossing in from Mexico is at the lowest number in years. What he doesn't understand is that fewer are coming in because there's less opportunity for finding a job in his lousy economy.

---

You know, there are just too many charitable organizations out raising money for the same causes. Why not group all similar interest fund raising groups into categories, and let the most efficient GMA-to-distributions ratio organization handle all the funds.

Talk about blatant hypocrisy, the Obama's inauguration menu was about 6,000 calories!

Iran says it launched a monkey into space. Why doesn't PETA go there and protest.

Speaking of Iran, that prison where Iran is holding that Christian pastor not only has a sign in Farsi, but, now get this, it has subtitles in English! Don't you know Iran was just sitting on ready to taunt pot-US Obluster.

Listening to Fox anchors trying to discuss issues with in-house liberal commentators demonstrates the reason Republicans should not try to negotiate/compromise with DUMBERats. Liberals' strategy is to simply egg Conservatives into sound bite traps and keep the rational exchange of ideas from continuing. Has Fox even thought about why it employees such voices on its staff? The way I see it, other liberals would pay just to get on Fox and actually have an audience listening as they try to derail meaningful idea exchanges.

NYC Mayor Bloomberg has been hoisted by his own petard. Some unidentified reporter confronted Bloomberg about whether he'd disarm his security goons to which Bloomberg blew him off with an " I'll get back to you on that". Then the reporter stuck an obviously larger than 16 ounce cup in his face and asked if Bloomberg wanted a "sip of my soda". Bloomberg's security goons physically removed the reporter. Ain't liberal politics grand.

According to pot-US Obluster's immigration reform spinmeisters, he has proposed the following steps:

- Continue to strengthen and secure our borders;
- Crack down on companies that hire undocumented workers;
- Establish a legal path to earned citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants who are already here -- including children who were brought here through no fault of their own;
- And streamline legal immigration for those who are already playing by the rules. -- Hmmm, "streamline legal immigration for those who are already playing by the rules"? Isn't this the issue? Are there any legal migrants from Mexico playing by the rules? Illegal crossings or staying past Visa expiration dates are already violations.

Online story: "He worked just one year as a full-time teacher in New York. But he has collected nearly $1 million for 13 years for doing almost nothing. * Aryeh Eller, 46, a former music teacher at Hillcrest HS in Queens, is the longest-sitting “rubber room” teacher in the city. He was yanked from the classroom in 1999 and confessed to repeated sexual harassment of female students, according to a 2000 investigative report. * A classical guitarist who performs in local concerts, Eller has seen his salary rise to $85,000 due to automatic longevity increases under the teachers’ contract. * Since his 1999 suspension, he has collected $943,000, plus health and pension benefits — and the total will hit $1 million this year." -- Where is the indignation that other NYC teachers should be expressing! NYC teachers still pay their monthly union dues and could care less. Great role model job, teachers. ... NOT!

What one thing, OK, two things did the mass killers at Ft Hood, Virginia Tech, Aurora, CO and Newtown, CT have in common. One is that they were all male. No, the second thing is not that they were all using assault rifles... number 2 is that they were all registered Democrats.

---

Why is Al. uh, the "Reverend Al" Sharpton being allowed back in front of mainstream media cameras? Behold his latest claim: “People Do Not Have The Right To Unregulated Rights In This Country” -- Sometimes, I wish this was true... like at this very moment, I wish pot-US Obluster would issue an Executive Order to put a "free speech monitor" on Al Sharpton. If anyone outside of Congress deserves such, it's Sharpton. Otherwise, I'll just tolerate and ignore him in exchange for my own 'free speech'.

Any one have knowledge of the officers/owners of South Eastern Sky Realty LLC? The GA Sec of State's Corporate Search doesn't list them. That company owns the trailer park in the L-E headlines.

That story of the soldier who lost both arms and legs in Iraq receiving arm transplants is remarkable! Where can we sign up as limb donors as well?

In Richard Hyatt's column today: "Last November, Columbus Council unanimously approved a $586,000 settlement of the city’s suit against Expedia.com   and Hotels.com  . That followed previous settlements with Orbitz.com   and Priceline.com   totaling $888,000. * The city received $1.6 million, but from that amount they had to pay $401,000 in attorney fees and $600,000 in out-of-pocket expenses." -- What out-of-pocket expenses? I remember when Council was solicited to be a claimant by the law firm (the whole matter could have been settled without lawyers if Council had just reported that the company was not collecting and turning in its sales taxes properly) that the City would have zero expenses.. what happened (as if we don't know)?

Congrats to Charlie Ragsdale.... one question does remain...what took the CVSHOF so long?

I heard what could be the self-evident solution to the liberals' desire to force obscene gun laws on law abiding citizens; declare liberalism officially to be the mental disease that it is. Since Obamacare is already "the law of the land", herd all the libs into institutions. Since liberals would be self-banned from having guns, gun crimes would drop which would free up most prisons to be used for mental facilities. We could call them "Gated Communities" so libs would feel superior, thus happy with the situation. Since the gun-using element would all be in the Gated Communities, law abiding gun owners would be fine with liberals checking themselves out any time they wish following a gun search at the gate. Since only law abiding citizens would have guns, let gun owners carry them on planes to thwart terrorists, and that will free up the TSA and its X-ray equipment which would be sent to Gated Communities to search for guns as liberals check out for the day. This is a solution that would appease even the most extreme leftist. Do I have a "second"?

The GOP is about to be sucker-punched... again .... on the immigration issue. When faced with an opportunity to take charge, it appointed a 4-some consisting of a rising star, Marco Rubio, but then added a Flake, and 2 toothless grumpy-old-white-men the media already doesn't like.

Online headline/story: "Missile Launcher Found at Buyback * SEATTLE — Seattle police worked with Army officials Monday to track down the history of a nonfunctional missile launcher that showed up at a weapons buyback program and determine whether it was legal or possibly stolen from the military. * The single-use device is a launch tube assembly for a Stinger portable surface-to-air missile and already had been used. As a controlled military item, it is not available to civilians through any surplus or disposal program offered by the government, according to (Detective Mark) Jamieson." -- Hmmm, a missile launcher which is "not available to civilians through any surplus or disposal program offered by the government", and Seattle police had a problem whether it was legal.... brilliant... NOT!

Online story: "Early reports that came to us at American Live Wire were stating that (a psycho) had shot the victims at the Sandy Hook Elementary school at close range with multiple hand guns, and possibly a shotgun. It wasn’t reported until later that the police had discovered an AR-15 assault rifle in the trunk of the car. This AR-15 was not used in the shooting, and police did not initially even know about its presence until conducting that further search." -- This is what I thought I heard initially, but there wasn't confirmation until now. This is how anti-gun wackos 'work'. They have taken 'chaos' and tried to override the truth with their agenda. Now the impact of the death of all those children has been cheapened by these anti-gun wackos. Of course, who is the most renown for advocating to take advantage of any chaos...former Clinton and pot-US Obluster 'hit man', Chicago's Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

pot-US Obluster has opened a door he might regret. His skittishness about hard knock football mimics the elitist disdain for "manning-up".

From another BCer: Online headline/story: "Public univ plans event to help female students achieve orgasm * The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (UMTC) is set to hold an event this spring designed to help its female undergraduate students achieve more and greater orgasms. * The university’s official online description of the event entitled, “The Female Orgasm,” describes it as open to both male and female students." -- If you're paying for your child's (or even a grandchild's) college tuition, check closely at how much in student fees you're paying for in addition to the tuition. You may be paying for something like this. Write your state representatives to re-examine the fee structure and items your college deems essential to your child's education.

Online story: "NBC cites a number of "scouting officials and outsiders familiar with internal discussions" who say a revised BSA policy would not only lift the ban on gay participants from the national youth organization's rules, but also allow local sponsoring organizations to decide for themselves whether or not to admit gay scouts." -- Say it ain't so.... the adage that 'the times, they are a-changing' does not mean that any or all change is good.

Online story: "The New Republic editor Chris Hughes spoke out on Mark Zuckerberg's recently-announced fundraiser for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. * Hughes, who co-founded Facebook alongside Zuckerberg, told ABC News he had "a lot of questions" about Christie, particularly since the New Jersey governor had opposed same-sex marriage. * Hughes, who tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Sean Eldridge last year, said, "There are tens of thousands of couples in New Jersey that can’t share their love and be recognized under the law because of that decision." * He went on to note, "I’m not a single issue voter, and I think most people aren’t either, but for me personally, it would raise serious concerns about supporting someone like him.” -- When I hear anyone claim not to be "a single issue voter", I generally know that they are.The DUMBERat voter base is mainly made up of single-issue voters! The divisive nature of the Democratic Party base is evidence of such. No one person can be for all the issues the Democratic Party 'embraces' at election and fund raising times.

I sincerely hope that the Chamber is successful in keeping drastic cuts in personnel being made at Ft Benning, but for a different reason. I hope that Ft Benning remains in full compliment for the defense readiness of this country. I also hope the Chamber is more successful in this endeavor than in getting the full anticipated impact of BRAC.

Work hard, Chamber!

The DUMBERats are not going to compromise on anything the Republicans want, but when the smoke clears, Republicans will be blamed for what the DUMBERats wanted all along.

---

Best L-E printed "soundoff" in a long time: "How is it that you need a background check to own a gun but not to run the country? " -- The simple answer is that mainstream media would rather own a politician than a gun.

---

Typical liberal's L-E "soundoff": "The Senate has not produced a budget because Mitch McConnell and the GOP have filibustered every attempt since 2008" -- The low-info disease is far greater than we know or want to admit. Reid has not submitted a budget in 3 years simply because he doesn't want to put new caps on what they are already spending.

---

Instant repeat - L-E story: "Two Europe-an science projects — one to map the intricacies of the human brain, the other to explore the extraordinary carbon-based material graphene — won an EU technology contest Monday, getting up to (euro) 1 billion ($1.34 billion) each over the next decade. * The other project will investigate the possible uses of graphene, the thinnest known material, which conducts electricity far better than copper, is perhaps 300 times stronger than steel and has unique optical properties. A sheet of it is one atom thick; scientists call it the first known two-dimensional material. " -- Excuse me, but if anything has measurable thickness aspects, wouldn't it be 3 dimensional? Let's hope that super computer is finished before the brain child who wants to give money for this project actually distributes the award.

Judy F. Brouillette, non-identified-as-such-by-the Ledger-Enquirer official of the Muscogee County Democratic Party, so aptly demonstrates the depth of the low-info voter every time she submits any comment for public viewing. It's disheartening to see what she and her followers believe.

L-E story: "

ATLANTA — Atlanta’s police chief is proposing city leaders draft legislation to banish convicted prostitutes from returning to areas in the city where they’ve already been arrested. * WAGA-TV reports Police Chief George Turner has asked the city council to approve a law aimed at ordering convicted prostitutes not to return to areas where they have been arrested. The proposed law calls for an offender to be rearrested if they are found in the same area where police initially took them into custody. * The legislation calls for a prostitute convicted for a second time to be banished from city limits forever." -- "The legislation calls for a prostitute convicted for a second time to be banished from city limits forever"? What happened to the Atlanta police chief's proposal to banish them the first time they are arrested. To think, with all the other problems that need to be dealt with, Atlanta and the legislature is trying to eliminate the oldest profession by sending them to other GA cities. Good luck with that.

No wonder Birmingham is fiscally bankrupt; it's morally bankrupt to spend money you don't have for something you don't need. Hey, pot-US Obluster, if Detroit is not enough of an omen of fiscal irresponsibility, you have Birmingham as another example of the destination you are taking the whole country in!

"I'm optimistic about the opportunity." -- So, Tomas Bilbao, ED of the nonpartisan Cuba Study Group is ecstatic over Kerry and Hagel. Nonpartisan is not bi-partisan, and in this case, nonpartisan is pro socialism as demonstrated by pot-US Obluster approval.

Online story: "CAIRO — Egypt's president declared a state of emergency and curfew in three Suez Canal provinces hit hardest by a weekend wave of unrest that left more than 50 dead, using tactics of the ousted regime to get a grip on discontent over his Islamist policies and the slow pace of change. * Angry and almost screaming, Mohammed Morsi vowed in a televised address on Sunday night that he would not hesitate to take even more action to stem the latest eruption of violence across much of the country. But at the same time, he sought to reassure Egyptians that his latest moves would not plunge the country back into authoritarianism." -- Hmmm, and from the other side of his mouth Morsi said, "There is no going back on freedom, democracy and the supremacy of the law". So Ms Columbus is an "animal activist", and has 2 dogs and 4 cats. Hmmm, does she have a kennel license, too? I do believe the City has a limit of 5 pets for residences.

Sunday, January 27, 2013

Remember when liberals were gung ho about erasing all mention of Christopher Columbus because of the ills he thrust upon Native Americans? Now you can't get them to remove an annual $500+K funding for Christopher Columbus stuff. Just shows DUMBERats don't want anything to do about curtailing taxes or unnecessary programs.

Senator Kerry's appointment, and Senator Chambliss' announced retirement would be an excellent time to start new practices for election reform. Both of their "campaign chests" for reelection should be frozen, audited, prohibited from new deposits, then turned in to the government for use. We may have a bigger audience than I realized. Prominent Republicans are looking at the voting patterns and realizing that the Electoral College format overweight's the vote of large urban areas, and one or two Congressional district's results can swing all of that state's Electoral College vote at the expense of the voters in the majority of the the state's districts. I am still stunned at California's even split of counties voting for Obluster and Romney (29-29), but of course, California gave 55 votes to Obluster.

Of course he's running against Terry McAuliffe the chair of presidential campaigns for both Clintons, and a former DNC chair.....and you'd probably win a bet that if the hero of the moment had been McAuliffe, his party staut and deed would have been in the headline.

James Edward Oglethorpe. The estate's tabby ruin is Savannah's oldest standing structure." -- Question.... Why was the fence (w/spikes) erected in the first place? Probably to keep moochers, 4-legged and 2-legged, out of the grounds; probably because of crop damage. That's a historic event being undone by liberal's rewriting facts to accommodate personal causes.

Why is media trying to promote the surge in gun sales as Obama-paranoia? It has nothing to do with paranoia... L-E story: "The death penalty case against Ricardo Strozier casts him as a repeat burglar prowling Columbus in the days leading up to the fatal Sept. 7, 2010, shooting of radio disc jockey David Heath Jackson. * Prosecutors allege Strozier broke into two other homes before Jackson was killed confronting him inside 1667 Carter Ave., where the morning on-air personality for the Christian station The Truth came home around lunchtime the Tuesday after Labor Day. * Police say Strozier shot Jackson with a .38-caliber revolver stolen in an Aug. 11, 2010, burglary at 14th Avenue and Virginia Street, four blocks off Lakebottom Park’s west side. Jackson’s home was four blocks east of the park. " -- "Strozier shot Jackson with a .38-caliber revolver stolen in an Aug. 11, 2010, burglary"... Makes my point that any stolen gun used in a crime should result in an unappealable death sentence on its own, and the sentence be carried out within days. THAT is a GUN CONTROL law that will work and prevent killing out of indifference ot the laws already on the books.

---

The MCSD SPLOST totals are going to be even further short of the current projections. A full 4 years of collections have been made, and those totals should be aired to the public before any further discussions are started on any SPLOST projects.

---

L-E headline: "Harris County takes first-ever City wrestling championship title" -- There's something "wrong" with a school from another county being entered in a "City" championship in another county's school system. Maybe the reason will come to me if I keep thinking about it...

---

L-E headline: "Phasing out property tax freeze could lead to lower taxes" -- Could...and should for most people, BUT that is not what Council and Mayor Obamalinson want. They want to capitalize on the windfall aspect of raising long time frozen taxes to the level inflicted on new homeowners rather than working towards a middle ground. Poll the buyers who are buying first or moving into nearby counties/states to list their #1 reason.... it'll be lower taxes.

---

Inaccurate (but right thinking) L-E "soundoff": "The envelope, please … Hillary Clinton should receive a Best Actress Award in a Leading Role for the Benghazi hearing." -- The category should be "Best Actress in a Mis-Leading Role".

---

Dusty Nix can rail from his soapbox all he wants about how Saxby Chambliss treated Max Cleland, but Max Cleland exploited his injuries for the maximum sympathy he could get in order to get what he wanted.

---

The L-E intentionally omits that Karl Douglass' opinions are biased by his direct connection with the The Democratic Party. This is a shameful omission by the L-E.

Online story: "Official: Armstrong Lied to Oprah" -- DOH! Now Lance Armstrong, author James Frey and pot-US Obluster all have the same thing in common....

---

Online headline: "John Boehner: Ending Abortion Is 'One Of Our Most Fundamental Goals This Year" -- Boehner has already stuck his foot in his mouth, but now he's determined to chew it off. I'm truly against abortions as a form of birth control, but that's truly an issue between the parties and God. We do not, repeat, do not ever need to make 'back alley, rusty coat hanger' abortions the only option for people determined to do so, and we do not need to make abortions part of routine insurance/government paid healthcare (ooops, there go most D&C procedures).

---

Laborously got an e-mail off to Boehner, and I copied this message from his site: "Congressman Boehner is leading the drive for smaller, more accountable government and better solutions to the challenges facing our nation. If you would like to receive updates on the issues that affect you and your family, please sign up below. " -- How can he claim to want smaller government yet still want government control of personal decisions?

---

Online headline: "Obama, Hillary Clinton Doing First-Ever Joint Interview For '60 Minutes'" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought they were going to discuss medical marijuana as a treatment for concussions.

---

Online headline: "Casey Anthony Gets Good News From Judges * Casey Anthony Convictions Set Aside: Court Throws Out 2 Of 4 Convictions For Lying to Cops" -- Hmmm, somehow having any of her convictions out doesn't make her any less of a liar.

---

Online headline: "Obama To Make Major Immigration Announcement Next Week" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought he was going to declare his move to France. Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea (China's out because China may want to collect their loans from him).

---

Online story: "A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit said that Obama did not have the power to make three recess appointments last year to the National Labor Relations Board. * The unanimous decision is an embarrassing setback for the president, who made the appointments after Senate Republicans spent months blocking his choices for an agency they contended was biased in favor of unions." -- Hey, don't get excicted...Just what makes anyone think pot-US Obluster values Appeals Court decisions any more than Constitutional Amendments? He's already blown off the US Supreme Court in a prior State of the Union speech.

---

Apple..... the market took big bite out of it this week in spite of record revenues and near record profit. Guess pot-US Obluster is getting back at Jobs for comments Jobs made while still alive.

---

With all that's going on in the MCSD world, one can help but wonder if Judge Cohn's family is rethinking letting one of the schools to be named after him.

---

L-E story: "Columbus is one of 24 Georgia cities to be recertified as a “City of Ethics” by the Georgia Municipal Association, according to a GMA release. * Each city will be required to apply for recertification every four years." -- Hmmm, you mean we had been certified "ethical" when the Parks&Rec basketball and swimming pool scandals, the Civic Center scandal, the Business Codes scandal, and the prison scandal were going on.... doesn't say too much about being re-certified as a "City of Ethics".

---

When will DUMBERats and mainstream media admit that no new gun laws are necessary. What is necessary is for courts to aggressively enforce the penalties for illegal possession and use of guns.

---

Just saw a local bike shop ad showing a bicyclist traversing man-made jumps and ramps on a woodsy cross country trail. I guess running down "dears" on city sidewalks wasn't enough; now they're going after the other deer.

---

Blaming the Newtown, Conn incident, the principal of an elementary school in Nashville, TN has initiated a policy that parents can only come on campus twice in a nine week term during school hours, and must go online and print out an "event pass". Just another government effort to take over our children! Name me a parent that shot anyone at Newtown.

---

You know, I can agree with one point Diane Feinstein makes...automatic and illegal guns do not belong on our streets. Unfortunately, Einstein blames guns not the criminals. Unfortunately, Feinstein is introducing another wasted gun control bill rather than a bill that will put gun wielding criminals in the death chamber.

---

Hurricane Sandy victims... How's FEMA and Governors Christie & Cuomo working for you since the elections and DUMBERat political photo-op sessions have passed?

---

If women are going to be 'allowed' to serve on the front line in a combat situation, then it shouldn't be on 'an opt in' basis. Other than job options that require special education training such as a doctor or dentist or lawyer, all recruits, men and women should be accepted only if they are combat candidates.. and no special treatment assignments based on gender.

---

Petty L-E "soundoff": " It seems Obama’s parents did not teach him it’s very impolite to chew gum in public, especially at your own inauguration ceremony. " -- It was probably Nicorette to get him through the situation until he could get back to researching the medical marijuana samples for Obamacare.

---

L-E story: "Spirit Pouring on Teens will host a special meeting from 4-6 p.m. Sun-day at XXX XXXXX XXXXX, XXXX XXXX XX. * S.P.O.T. brings teens together by building relationships throughout the community to minister to any physical or emotional needs that teens may be faced with on a daily basis. * The event will include praise and worship, food, fellowship, praise dancers, hip hop music and a special guest from Atlanta who will read poetry." -- While I'm not a cynic, my realism shudders that an organization is putting its well-intended energy and resources into this lost effort. The Bradley Theater Teen Center was a "well intended 'good idea'", but the reality is that teens from different area don't mix with teens from other areas. It's a matter of comfort to be with people you know, especially for teens. That's why gangs have 'turf', and other gangs aren't welcome.

---

From the L-E's "Today in history": In 1998, President Bill Clinton forcefully denied having an affair with a former White House intern, telling reporters, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” -- I still contend that this was the one time Clinton didn't lie... This statement wasn't about not having a sexual relationship WITH Lewinsky, it was telling Lewinsky he didn't have a sexual relationship with ;that woman', meaning Hillary.

---

L-E headline/story: "Peach Little League holds late registration * A birth certificate and proof of residency are required" -- Hmmm now we know why pot-US Obluster didn't play Little League baseball, and why he has such a wimpy 'first pitch' delivery.

---

L-E headline/story: "Gatorade to remove controversial ingredient * Brominated vegetable oil, a synthetic chemical that has been patented in Europe as a flame retardant, will no longer double as an ingredient in Gatorade sports drinks." -- "Brominated vegetable oil, a synthetic chemical"? Gatorade has been putting that in our children? No wonder coaches seem to look 'slick' when it's dumped on them! Thank goodness I'm such a Coca Cola fan that I buy mine Powerade.

---

Hadn't really thought of it before, but when the L-E lists building permits in the weekend paper, it tells criminals where loads of raw construction material can be found.

Online story: "New Orleans Hornets owner Tom Benson, keeping a promise to rebrand the team he bought from the NBA last April, announced Thursday afternoon that the team will become the New Orleans Pelicans next season" -- With every thing else going on in the world, is this really 'news' we need to know or care about, but of all the choices available...Pelicans? Personally, I'd vote for "New Orleans VooDoo".

---

Online headline/story: "Wes Welker's wife apologizes over Ray Lewis comments * The wife of Patriots receiver Wes Welker apologized for comments critical of Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis following the Ravens' 28-13 win over the Patriots in Sunday's AFC championship game. * After the loss, Anna Welker posted the following comment to her Facebook page, according to TheBigLead.com: "Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!" -- Other than maybe bad timing, like Phil, why does she apologize?

---

As long as I'm in a 'sports mode", if there is anyone who needs to apologize, it's Katie Couric for giving Manti Te'o a media stage. Has that happened" Did anyone see it?

---

It's been revealed that Senator John Kerry is worth close to $200,000,000.00. DUMBERats pummeled Romney for his $250,000,000.00 in wealth assets. Of course there is a difference... Kerry hasn't had a job other than political, and marrying the widow of wealthy John Heinz. Romney earned his. Can't you see why mainstream media hated Romney?

---

Found out something this AM I had not been aware of earlier. Kerry's full name is John Forbes Kerry. No wonder he could win in Massachusetts... he just campaigned on being "JFK" and low-info Massachusetts DUMBERat voters just assumed their hero had arisen.

---

Why would anyone expect John Kerry to questioned aggressively as Hillary's replacement? DUMBERats want him gone so they can fight over his committee assignments, and Republicans just want him gone.

---

Yesterday AM, as I headed south on River Road, there was a motorcycle cop parked on the east side aiming his laser gun at the bottom of the hill to check cars as they get the bridge just north of the J R Allen Parkway. Cars are going down a pretty steep grade at that point, and gravity adds a few extra mph's. Basically, it was a one-man speed trap. Guess the City has an end of the month money cash flow problem.

---

Back in 2009, the City applied for and was granted money from the "Stim-YOU-LIE" funds to buy 2 hybrid buses. Seems like they were about $500,000.00 each (versus around $200K for diesel versions). Has anyone any knowledge of whether we received them?

---

Why is it that the MCSD system can promote from within to fill openings AND newly created administrative jobs, BUT won't even look within to fill the Superintendents office?

---

Hmmm, sunsetting the tax freeze... Not now with a Council bordering on becoming super-liberal. We've seen what a liberal bent has done to our school system. I suggest we simply bury it where the sunset don't shine.

---

Speaking of a liberal Council... why do we need crosswalks on streets that look like very fake brick? Car traffic will wearing them out and pedestrians will ignore them and cross wherever they want.

---

There's been so much concrete poured into the basin below the old E&P dam that I really expected to see Jethro Beaudine sunning beside his "concrete pond", or the local skateboarders grinding on the "wave shapers". The Committee to Pave the Chattahoochee should not be allowed to mention that this is a river restoration project.

---

Speaking of the Whitewater Amusement Park: A bridge to the island below the E&P dam has been built. A tall lockable (but scalable) gate is there but is useless. Any 10+ year old can climb over the rail next to the gate and get on the bridge, so there's going to have to be an armed guard on duty all night long just to keep the walking enebriated from putting themselves in deep danger.

---

If any group thinks that the government is going to take complete care of them had better investigate the history of the American Indians/native Americans before casting another vote.
---
Media applauded Hillary for her answer of indifference, "What difference does it make?" when questioned about not trying to help the ambassador and 3 other Americans who died from lack of executive action. Hmmm, what would the media have said if President Bush said, "What difference does in make?" when WMDs were not found in Iraq?
---
Some guys have filed a lawsuit against Subway saying the foot long sandwiches are not a full 12". Hmmm, that must mean their 6" (half sandwiches) aren't a full 6". Guess Subway had been shaving off some bread to afford the "bread" Subway is paying Michael Phelps.
---
What will Hollywood do next after making Hansel & Gretel into a family slasher movie... make Heidi a genocidal serial killer?
---
You know, whether it's an established brand or a new venture, there is a fortune to be made making a diaper doused in Fabreeze.
---
Online story: "At least 201,000 Florida voters did not cast ballots on Election Day 2012 because they were discouraged by long lines at polling places, according to a report released Wednesday by the Orlando Sentinel. An analysis by Ohio State University professor Theodore Allen found those voters either waited for some time but left before voting, or simply saw the long lines and turned away." -- The Sentinel's point? Between early voting days and absentee ballots-on-demand, no one has a complaint for not wanting to stay in lines to cast one's vote. I have stood in 3 hour lines without any desire to abandon my spot as it is important to me to vote. Anyone with less commitment is probably a low-info voter, so we're better off if they abandon their right/privilege.
---
Diane Feinstein is out on her weapons ban soapbox.... again. Wonder if she includes the one she carries for her own self-protection as well.
---
Phil Mickelson is about to undo all the things that have made him endeared to golfers everywhere. Phil has often forgone taking the safe shot from trouble but...but he's about to shoot down that image by continued apologies for his sincere protest against the California/federal taxes. Who can agree with a government entity that thinks individuals should pay 63¢ in taxes for every dollar he makes? Businesses are leaving California in droves because of high taxes.
---
One of the Fox "Five" said NYC Mayor Bloomberg's assault on sugary drinks is the stupidest thing he's done. Hey, if you narrow down that list to make such a claim, you should be able to actually prove that.
---
The regurgitating liberal on Fox News, Bob Beckel, has bloated up so much that he should be removed from TV by a pot-US Obluster Executive Order for disrespecting Michele Obama's obesity campaign.
---
Chuck Hagel... pot-US Obluster has really run the Republicans up a tall tree regardless of whether he gets approved or not. The DUMBERats in the Senate could stop it but Republicans will get the blame as being unwilling to work with anyone, BUT if Hagel wins, and the war in Afghanistan/Syria/Libya et al blow out of control, the media will lay all on the Republicans.
---
Hmmm, will women on the front line get 'days off' that time of the month? Will men get extra 'combat condition' pay if the women don't?
---
It's hard to believe that the Columbus Library needs an $150,000.00 a year director. What are the responsibilities other than people/time management? Does it matter whether the library operates profitably? Is the director held responsible for any losses? What the library needs is basically a good office manager.
---
Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "All Democrats don’t support abortion, gay marriage, etc., but in an election, you often have to take the bitter with the sweet. Modern “Pharisees” condemn people whether they deserve it or not." -- Whatta a natural target for Satan. Give him what he wants and he'll promise what you want, and somewhere along the line Satan takes all.
---
Hmmm, why doesn't the City just stop collecting the School Districts' tax portion? Let the MCSD start collecting it for itself? Maybe even by credit card. Perhaps the MCSD could get a better 'swipe' rate, and taxpayers could add to their air miles. Hmmm maybe the City should do the same and eliminate the tax collecting offices altogether! Yeah! We could pay our taxes online or by mail.
---
L-E headline/story: "Armed veteran in wheelchair thwarts home invasion * The Athens Banner-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/11Wcnjg) that 53-year-old Mark Sikes was in bed at his home in western Clarke County around 1 p.m. Wednesday, when someone kicked in his front door. * Sikes said he reached into his night stand and grabbed his pistol. He said he then pointed the gun at the intruder and and told him he "better get the hell out." -- OK, Diane Feinstein, tell us this man didn't need his gun, or didn't exercise good gun control!
---
I'm curious... has anyone thought about the double negative impact the YMCA will get when swim meets and team practices move to the Natatorium? "Y" school memberships will tumble as who's going top want yo practice in a 25 meter pool when competition is in a 50 meter pool?
---
Racist liberal's L-E "soundoff": " I’m not worried about the angry white loner buying a AR-15. I am worried about the angry white loner who’s buying ammonia nitrate and doesn’t have a farm." -- Oh, it would not worry you if an angry person of another color did the same?
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "In 1890, reporter Nellie Bly (Elizabeth Cochrane) of the New York World completed a round-the-world journey in 72 days, 6 hours and 11 minutes. The United Mine Workers of America was founded in Columbus, Ohio. " -- Hmmm. travel times have sure improved in the last 123 years, but unions haven't.
---
L-E story: "FORT HOOD, Texas — The new judge in the Fort Hood shooting case will decide next week whether to spare Maj. Nidal Hasan the death penalty and let him plead guilty. " -- I vote that Hasan be executed whatever his plea, and I'll do the "judge thing" pro bono.
---
L-E story: " The Affordable Care Act — “Obamacare” to its detractors — allows health insurers to charge smokers buying individual policies up to 50 percent higher premiums starting next Jan. 1. * For a 55-year-old smoker, the penalty could reach nearly $4,250 a year. A 60-yearold could wind up paying nearly $5,100 on top of premiums. * Younger smokers could be charged lower penalties under rules proposed last fall by the Obama administration." -- Guess this does make sense to those of government mentality... Charge younger smokers less penalty until they are hooked good enough to pay the higher premiums if they live that long...
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is drawing up a new national polygraph policy in the wake of allegations that federal agencies are pushing legal and ethical limits during screenings of job applicants and employees. " -- Talk about covering-one's-ass, the new standard must be aimed at letting pot-US Obluster have a chance to pass a lie-detector test if he gets impeached.

From the L-E editorial on women in combat: "Panetta said, and the Joint Chiefs apparently agree, that women in combat will help the United States win wars. That has to be the bottom line.: -- "bottom" line? What a chauvinistic finish... now all women soldiers will be concerned with is "Does my body armor make my 'bottom' look big?"

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Online headline: "Women In Combat: Leon Panetta Removes Military Ban, Opening Front-Line Positions" -- Guess Hollywood money has reached the top.... now Hollywood can boast its older war movies are realistic. Also, this will divert the Republicans from real issues in war zones.

---

Hmmm,. if Hillary could now come up with 29 things to implement following Benghazi, why weren't most, even some, implemented in January of 2009 when she first took over?
---
The protocol used at the Committee questioning Hillary was guaranteed to fail. Alternating Democrat and Republican Senators' question guaranteed that so no follow up questions would ever be asked.
---
After listening to the Congressional Committee on Benghazi opening speeches by various committee members, Hillary's "I was in the kitchen baking cookies with the Obamas" is going to work for her.
---
Did you notice Hillary's new eyeglasses? They were about as unattractive as possible, and as thick ad Coca Cola bottle bottoms. I guess if the " baking cookies" defense falters, she has a back up defense of not being able to see/read Benghazi reports because she lost her glasses in the cookie batter.
---
I think I figured out what happened to my lost Halloween costume. Hillary found the glasses/nose/moustache, and removed most of the moustache.
---
Hillary has added a third defense strategy. If baking cookies and losing her glasses don't work, it was the Republican House's fault.
---
The "questions" Hillary was asked by Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-CA, were little more than an introduction at a campaign fund raiser.
---
So, Hillary created an assistant deputy Secretary to handle "high threats". Hmmm, so her solution is to create one more layer of bureaucracy to getting things done the next time a Benghazi happens.
---
We were impressed with how quick Bill Clinton could shed a tear at a moments notice, but Hillary took it to an art form, then shut it down in an instant.
---
Did I hear her right? Hillary just said she and the administration were in agreement that the Libyan, Egyptian, and Syrian al-Qaida rebels are emerging "democracies"? Sharia law is a democracy based form of government?
---
Sen. Paul Rand asked the only question of Hillary that caught her off guard but she recovered enough on his followup to use up Rand's time to question allotment.
---
You know, pot-US Obluster's second term needs to be historically remembered as the term of the 45th President. He ran against his first term so well, he beat Romney at doing the same thing.
---
Hillary said she doesn't read all the cables that come into the State Department. She says she has designated employees who have specific responsibilities. OK, then whom has she fired for failure to keep her up-to-date on what was happening in Benghazi.
---
Why did most if not all questions asked by DUMBERats of Hillary seem to be about security in the future when she has already submitted her resignation, and the subject was about something that happened on her watch?
---
Sen. Menedez D-NM, says a former defense official once said there were more people in military bands than in the foreign service. Well, ay least the band members were contributing to the good of our soldiers and our country.
---
A Fox anchor said Hillary did what she had to do... testify about what she knew
.. WRONG! Hillary related what she wanted to talk about.
---
Once again, why are gold sellers pushing sales of their gold to new people rather than holding on to what they already own and buying more?
---
Online story: 'WASHINGTON -- The House of Representatives voted Wednesday to raise the nation's debt ceiling by an unspecified amount, suspending the federal government's restriction on borrowing until late May. * The legislation passed the lower chamber by 285 to 144, with nearly three dozen Republicans opposing the measure. " -- Wimps! Now, according to the pot-US Obluster strategy, with no cap in force, he can go to all the restaurants he wants in the next 4 months, eat all he wants, then tell Congress it has to pay his bills. That could be another trillion in a blink of his "I".
---
Now get this... the House vote was 285-144. 36 smart Republicans voted against it. 6 representative didn't vote. Doing the math, 108 DUMBERats voted against it too. Maybe we're giving to much credit about Republicans be 'smart', yet even 3 times as many DUMBERats voted against the bill than Republicans.
---
Online headline: "Boehner: Obama On A Mission To 'Annihilate The Republican Party' -- Yeah, to bad he has so many GOPers aiding and abetting him.

Online headline: "Obama Inauguration Ratings Down Sharply From 2009" -- Well, the dead can only vote for him, not watch him on TV.
---
Did you know that beginning this weekend, retailers can start charging you up to the amount of their credit card processor's fees onto your purchase in the form of a 'check out fee'? This first time one tries it on me, I will cancel the transcation and let the store clerks restock what I leave on the conveyor belt.
---
Online headline: "Junior Seau's Family Sues NFL for Wrongful Death After Suicide" -- Rumor has it that the NFL will counter sue for the family to prove it was wrongful.

L-E story: "Even with moving the Armor School to Fort Benning, the Maneuver Center of Excellence is training fewer soldiers, a post official said Wednesday. * The post has trained soldiers from the Armor School since the school moved to Fort Benning from Fort Knox, Ky. As part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure process, that move was completed in September 2011. For fiscal year 2012, the first full year with the Armor and Infantry schools training on post, officials said 93,200 soldiers were trained, although the projection was 96,000." -- Wow, I think I'm going to be right... Walmart will have a bigger army than the US by hiring 100,000 vets over the next 5 years.
---
So the $10.5 Million dollar Natatorium will be opening this summer. This is the facility our P&R head could not 'man' without a $1.2 million dollar annual operating deficit. How can an 'only' $10.5 million dollar 'investment be projected to lose over $1.2 million annually (and that won't include ongoing maintenance/depreciation). Anybody who voted "for" that SPLOST should be banned from voting on any other SPLOST issue in the future.
---
L-E "soundoff": "With all the money the school board is wasting, it sure would be nice if they would give the maintenance workers at least a cost-of-living raise, which they have not had in six years. " -- Obviously a MCSD maintenance worker's input.... notice how easy it was for him to be spot on the waste factor within the school system?
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “All men wish to have truth on their side; but few to be on the side of truth.” — Richard Whately, British theologian (1787-1863). " -- Hmmm, even then DUMBERats were making up the truth as they wanted to believe it....
---
L-E story: "FONTANA, Calif. — The school police force in this Southern California city has acquired 14 high-powered semiautomatic rifles for officers to bring to campuses. " -- Just making sure the police have adequate practice time at the range would be cheaper and more effective.
---
L-E headline: "Deep freeze to continue into weekend in East " -- Hmmm, California a couple of weeks ago, and now New England... DUMBERat lairs are freezing over.
---
Racism has been brought into the battleground of the sugary drinks restrictions in NYC. Seems the lawyers have noted that sugary drinks are 'brown', and low cal citrus drinks are 'white'.
---
L-E headline: "Air Force general calls sex assaults a ‘cancer’ " -- Hmmm, wonder if he mentioned the sure-fire cure is amputation?
---
Why is completing the roundabout at St Elmo something the City deserves a pat-on-the-back for? It has not accomplished anything better than the old configuration except pedestrians will have to be quicker on their feet and look both ways, and the money spent could have been used to shore up the twice=weekly garbage pick up for the next 16 months.
---
L-E story: " A teenage boy was arrested for shoplifting Tuesday afternoon at the Buena Vista Road Wal-Mart after eating the store’s potato chips without purchase and attempting to steal condoms, according to a Columbus police report. * The condoms were recovered. The juvenile was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and released to his sister." -- Hmmm, yeah, that'll teach him a lesson. The police should have retrieved the potato chips as well!
---
There's only one question Te'o needs to be asked: "Well, why didn't you try to go to her funeral, or at least meet with her family?

Wednesday, January 23, 2013

A most alarming and revolting development: "Fox News has learned that U.S. Marines who were part of a FAST (Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team) responding to Libya were told by the State Department to deplane, change out of their U.S. military uniforms and put on civilian clothes before flying to Tripoli -- a decision that delayed them from launching by approximately 90 minutes, according to senior military officials who briefed Congress." -- Forget the delays, as I understand wartime protocol, military personnel caught in civilian (non-uniform) apparel are treated like spies rather than prisoners-of-war and lose all 'courtesies' of such. Shame on Hillary!

---
There's really only one reason any voter have against showing a photo-ID when he/she goes to vote.... they aren't proud of what they are doing and want some sort of "identity theft" defense if they have to prove it wasn't 'me' that voted for 'him'.

---

Online headline/story: "Carlton Berry, Suspect In Lone Star College Shooting, Charged With Aggravated Assault * A statement from the Harris County Sheriff's Office identifies the suspect as Carlton Berry. * Spokesman Alan Bernstein says Berry is charged with aggravated assault but remains hospitalized with wounds suffered in the shooting." -- "suspect"? He was caught in the act, wounded and captured on the spot, and is considered a 'suspect'? Sounds more like a 'perpetrator' to me, but at least the spokesman didn't refer to him as an "alleged suspect".

---

Online headline/story: "John Allen Cleared By Pentagon In Petraeus Email Case * The matter had been referred to the Pentagon in November by the FBI during the course of its investigation of emails between Petraeus and his biographer-turned-paramour, Paula Broadwell. The FBI turned up thousands of emails between Allen and Jill Kelley, who was said to have received threatening emails from Broadwell. * At the time, officials said 20,000 to 30,000 pages of emails and other documents from Allen's communications with Kelley between 2010 and 2012 were in question. None of the emails have been made public." -- "cleared"? Cleared of what? The general sent upwards of 30,000 non-military e-mails over 2 years; that's upwards of 40+ e-mails a day! If nothing else, spending that much time compiling 40+ e-mails a day meant he wasn't doing his job. He's at least guilty of dereliction of duty or 'generaling' while distracted...

Online story: "WASHINGTON -- As the technology for arming drones spreads around the world, terrorists could use the unmanned, missile-firing aircraft to attack and kill the president and other U.S. leaders, the former chief of U.S. intelligence said Tuesday." -- Hmmm... a military drone taking out political drones.............

---

So I have heard...In a unanimous vote, Rob Varner took over the MCSD board's chairmanship from fellow board member Cathy Williams. Hmmm... unanimous? One board member either was absent, stepped out to the restroom, or the other 8 members found way #1002 to use duct tape.

Online headline: "Aspirin May Raise Risk Of Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Study Suggests" -- The possibilities of class action lawsuits queuing up in front of the court house will make Occupy Wall Street seem like students going back to classes asking for more homework. Let's see... primarily, those taking a daily aspirin to prevent heart attacks/strokes will have the best shot...'not seeing it coming' was not listed as a side effect on the bottle.

Hmmm, seems Mercedes-Benz is making a compact rocket=mobile, the CLA, and have selected some 20 year old swimsuit model to hawk it during the Super Bowl. It's aimed at the 20-something market. Say, isn't that the same group that compiled the Occupy Wall Street move that they couldn't find jobs and daddy was cutting off their credit cards?

Online headline: "Biden Stokes 2016 Chatter" -- Oh, so "Don't mess with Joe" is starting to believe he matters.... looks like pot-US Obluster has 'messed up' Joe instead.

You know... I'd love it if any liberal would share how he/she actually benefits from having pot-US Obama in office. Most of his votes received were votes against personal responsibility rather than for anything libs could actually support.

---

The only fair way to attempt to end the Columbus tax freeze would be to cost out all the tax revenues, reevaluate all properties, then refigure all property taxes on an equal basis. All structures should be taxed at their square foot basis regardless of what degree individuals have chosen to express their level of living. Variables should be on the value of the actual property a house sits on.

This is worth your attention. I couldn't compact it concise enough to include as a BC item: Obama’s Buddies Sentence Family to Prison for Converting to Christianity : The Last Resistance

pot-US Obluster says he's concerned about his children concerning Climate Change, but he doesn't seem concerned whether our children have any Change left in their pockets after paying for it.

---

Remember when pot-US Obluster was caught on 'open mike' telling a Russian official to go back to Putin and tell him he would be more flexible after the election? Why wouldn't he send the same message to us Americans?

Phil Mickelson earns about $60 Million annually. That's about what Warren Buffet gets in dividends and interest. Buffet pays $6-10 million in taxes, while Phil pays about $37-38 million (that's 63%). If Warren Buffett's secretary was paying that, she'd have a legit gripe.

---

Phil Mickelson may have stymied California. With the new fed tax increase and California's highest in the nation state sales and income taxes, Phil, America's favorite pro, is paying about 63¢ on every dollar he earns, and he doesn't want to do that any more. How soon will it be before he moves to Texas or Florida? Hey, Phil, you owe no apologies to anyone...

pot-US Obluster says if you go to a restaurant and eat the meal, you have to pay the bill. I learned that if you don't have but $5.00 in pocket, don't order the $50.00 surf&turf special.

Two new Constitutional Amendments look like their time to be added had come. The first will be for a budget curtailing expenditures beyond revenue receipts; the second would require a public airing/confirmation of a US birth certificate before any candidate can be put on a ballot of any type.
---

Why would Leon Panetta think al-Qaida would be concerned at his threats to them about killing Americans? Once pot-US Obluster bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, all respect for America became moot.

---

Why is it the black community seems to be comfortable greeting each other with the " n- word", and the white community would rebuke being greeted with a slur such as 'cracker?

---

So pot-US Obluster and Bleep Veep Biden participated in the National Day of Prayer. Guess it's true... Finding yourself in a foxhole makes believers on us all.

---

With Ambassadorships going out as political favors for large donations, I'll bet pot-US Obluster will look at the donors to The Republican Party for a replacement ambassador to Benghazi.

Liberals L-E "soundoff": "Rush Limbaugh spent years trying to convince everyone that second-hand smoke isn’t dangerous. Now he’s trying to tell us that gun laws don’t work." -- Give or take a few, there are 20,000 gun laws on the books as we speak and most Americans observe and respect them all; criminals respect none of them. That's the problem, not guns. Courts are the solution, but courts have been persuaded by liberals to go easy on criminals. See a vicious circle emerging here?

---

From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "In 1964, the 24th Amendment to the Constitution, eliminating the poll tax in federal elections, was ratified." -- Interesting... the poll taxes were initiated in the South following the Civil War when Northerners were in control of the Southern states and didn't want blacks to vote. Interesting too, is that when the 24th Amendment was ratified in 1964, the Southern States were primarily Democrats. Guess you could say there actually was a tax enough Democrats voted to end.... also you could bet that today's Democrats would like to get their hands on poll tax revenues again.

Have you noticed newer postage stamps.... you know, "Justice Forever".. after reading about the number of criminals walking on the street long before their sentences have ended, I'm at a point I'd like to see 'justice once in a while".

Did you read about the Alabama driver who was killed when a loaded crossbow in his back seat went off and hit him? How could you not know a crossbow wasn't loaded?

L-E story: "ATLANTA — The Supreme Court of Georgia has upheld the murder conviction and life sentence of a Georgia man accused of slaying his daughter in a so-called honor killing. * Chaudry Rashid was accused of strangling his 25-year-old daughter because she planned to divorce her husband from an arranged marriage * When Rashid moved to the United States from Pakistan after his wife died, he left his four children with his brother. Once he married a U.S. citizen, Rashid had his children join him. * In 2002, his daughter Sandeela Kanwal agreed to an arranged marriage with her cousin, the son of the uncle who had raised her in Pakistan, so that he could also move to the U.S." -- Welcome to sharia law.... let's pray pot-US Obluster doesn't get it installed here in the next few years, and this guy gets released retroactively.
