WRBL-TV3 online story: "The City of Columbus GA has filed a civil lawsuit against Norfolk Southern Railway, claiming ownership of land the railroad has occupied for decades. *  The suit, filed late last week in Muscogee County Superior Court, names Norfolk Southern and seven other railroad companies. The city alleges they are illegally operating on city-owned property." -- You know, a number of years ago, our City paid $1,000,000.00 a mile for abandoned railway track to build a 11 mile bicycle path out the Manchester Expressway..  Sure would be nice to have had a PRECEDENT to lean back on... Now, with that history, and Norfolk Southern KNOWING how much Mayor Skippy the POO has spent on buying the old Kirven/Synovus Building, and spent on rebranding Historic GOLDEN PARK, and buying the abandoned GA Power Co. building, no telling how much money it will cost us taxpayers to sue Norfolk Southern or pay them off! Oh,, let's not forget that ex-City Manager "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley was also involved in all those transactions...
