My bride and I had to take a sudden trip to
Atlanta Friday, so we stopped to "top off" our gas. I went into the
"Hop In" station at Double Churches & Whitesville to get a couple
of Diet Cokes and snacks for the drive as our car filled. The bill was $7.12
and the attendant gave me back penny-less change.. I pointed out that other
businesses were "rounding down" on 1 or 2 pennies, and rounding up
when it was 3 or 4 pennies. He just smiled smirked out a "yes".. told
him I would not be back.. then when I looked closer at my coin change when I
got in the car, I noticed he also shortchanged me a Nickel as well ... Just a
heads up about patronizing the "Hop In" Mart at that station.
