GUESS WHAT, COLUMBUS GA, we can pretty much do this also in March of 2024... We will have 6 Council Posts up for election/re-election and can oust the weak ones, keep the good ones, and get a majority of forward thinking Councilors for the first time since Columbus GA became a consolidated government! Like our Congressional electees, we need “term limits” for our Council..

Columbus GA Council has a request coming up for Councilor Toyia Tucker to attend a meeting of NACo (National Association of Counties).. while I think Columbus should have representation, I believe it should be limited to either/both of our 2 AT-LARGE Councilors.. As a specific District Representative, Ms Tucker doesn’t represent our whole City/County.

Whether it be Trump or DeSantis, both should be wooing Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders as their running mate.. I can see her as a successful candidate for 2028 and/or 2032.. and her presence on the 2024 Republican ticket would counter any Democrat moves to bring in a woman candidate at a last minute challenge to Biden/Harris.
