In lieu of sounding insensitive, this demonstrates how mainstream media skews facts and inflames situations. An Auburn football player was killed this weekend. The following excerpt is from an up-to-date report: " A 22-year-old man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with murder in Sunday's fatal shooting of Auburn football player Jakell Lenard Mitchell, police said. * Police also disclosed new details that the 18-year-old freshman Mitchell had received multiple gunshot wounds to the chest" -- Please note that Jakell Mitchell, like Michael Brown was 18, but Mitchell is described as an 18-year old freshman, and Brown was described as an unarmed black 18-year old teen. Also please note that the suspect arrested is described as "a 22-year-old man". No mention of him being black is made. Everyone was informed that Darren Wilson was a white police officer.
---
L-E addition in story of Auburn player killed: "Once he joined the Tigers, Mitchell did enough during fall camp to catch the eye of offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee. * "He is not scared of anybody," Lashlee said in August. "He's what, 215 pounds and he'll hit the biggest guy on our team in the mouth as hard as he can and not back down." -- Good grief.. who wants a player on a team that will hit someone else on his team? Also, what head coach would want an assistant coach who would think this was a player asset, much less seemingly encourage/reward such an act..
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON (AP) — Family members of young, unarmed black men killed by police — from Michael Brown and Eric Garner in recent months, to Amadou Diallo more than 15 years ago — packed a stage in front of the U.S. Capitol on Saturday, using a shared forum to urge thousands of supportive marchers to keep up the pressure for changes to the criminal justice system." -- Hmmm.. where are the protestors going next.. to Auburn, AL. Yeah .. right.. Also note, none of the protestors care about unarmed whites killed by black police officers. It's not white racists that are the problem.. It's the decay of civility and moral culture in the black community.
---
Let's experiment....You know..why doesn't the Ferguson City Council just initiate a moratorium on whites and police from going there, and at the end of a year, let Ferguson voters decide if they want to continue self-policing segregation.
---
Online story: "A fight over the Ten Commandments is causing controversy at an Ohio public high school. * Harding High School’s class of 1953 gifted a copy of the Ten Commandments to the school. For years the plaque hung in a school hallway next to the preamble of the United States Constitution, but in August the principal ordered it taken down. * Marion City Schools said it acted to avoid legal challenges that have been prompted by similar Ten Commandments displays in other Ohio public school districts." -- Wait a minute.. who is discriminated against or feels the basic tenets of the 10 Commandments doesn't work for them? When God gave the 10 Commandments to Moses, it was in the middle-East where Jews, and eventual Christians and Muslims were living! It's the laws of life.

Random thought: Wonder if the welfare crowd have figured out that al Sharlatan's withholding tax payments cuts back funds available for welfare?
---
Online headline/story: "Cops Tell De Blasio: Stay Away From Our Funerals * The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association distributed a flier to members, blaring: “DON’T LET THEM INSULT YOUR SACRIFICE!” Cops were encouraged to sign and submit the “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver to ban the cop-bashing pols from their funerals." -- Hmmm. our local police officers should do the same as a protest for because the Mayor and Council currently drain about $750,000.00 annually from the Public Safety LOST revenues for unproven Crime Prevention programs instead of putting those funds into supporting our police and fire personnel.
---
Online headline/story: "12 Year Welfare Queen Explains “I don’t need it (a job), I get a check from the government” -- A 30 year old woman.. with 4 children.. living off a tax teat. Excuse me, but the welfare programs should be working to eliminate the need for a welfare program. This woman has made a hammock out of the safety net.
---
Online story: "In 2012, Michelle Obama announced new lunch standards to be implemented in public schools across the country. The standards weren’t just unpopular, they pushed kids to revolt on their social media accounts by posting pictures of the food that was imposed on them. * In addition, the standards have drastically decreased the amount of kids buying lunches from school. " -- Wow.. little did Michelle Obama know, but she is actually (while inadvertently) helping families. Even parents of students on the "reduced/free" food program are getting up, getting involved, in the morning and making lunches for their kids to take versus eating Michelle's garbage.
---
L-E "soundoff" from a voter who "gets it": " Kudos to Frank Myers and John Thomas. They attended the Georgia School Board Conference in Atlanta and paid their own way while the rest of the board went on the public’s dime." -- ..but even this tidbit leaves unanswered questions: Did the outgoing members go? Why would a School Board Conference be scheduled befor new sitting boards take office in January? and, my favorite..Did not Kia Chambers attend?
---
L-E's "Today in history" feature: "On this date: In 1791, the Bill of Rights went into effect following ratification by Virginia." -- Hmmm... subsequently, on January 20, 2009, new President Obamageddon buried it.
---
L-E headline: "2 of 3 Choctaw County escapees captured" -- Hmmm... sorta answers the question: Is Choctaw County Jail 2/3's full, of 1/3rd empty?
---
L-E headline: "Ga. law enforcement, government agencies given $70M in surplus gear" -- Or.. in other words, our military is now less equipped too handle new problems.
---
L-E headline/story: "Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama extends coverage to married gay couples * The state of Alabama does not currently recognize same-sex marriages and has a ban on gay marriage written into the Alabama Constitution." -- Good grief..
---
L-E headline: "Suspects identified in suburban Atlanta police shooting" -- OK, L-E, what color are the criminals and the police officers?

HuffPost headline: "Democrats fret over future" -- Hmmm .. Yeah... with good reason. Now they join the rest of the country which has been fretting over the Democrats' past!
---
Instant repeat - HuffPost headline: "Democrats fret over future" -- Yeah, and that's for the next two years with Obamageddon still in office after it took 19 Republicans to get the $1.1 TRILLION dollar continuing resolution passed in the still Democrat majority Senate.
---
Online story: "Senator Mary Landrieu (D-La.) lost her bid for reelection to Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-La.) by nearly 12 points and some liberals decided to blame her defeat on white racists who hate President Obama. * Aisha Moodie-Mills of the Center for American Progress insisted that “the reality, and every single poll shows this, is that Democrats have completely lost the south because white people are running away from Barack Obama and this African-American man who is occupying the White House.” -- Lets's look at the last 9 Presidential elections.. with the exception of Clinton's '92 election, no Democrat.. not Carter, not Mondale, not Dukakis, not Gore, not Kerry.. all white candidates ... has a Democrat won more than 4 ( usually 3 or less, mostly 2 or less) Southern states. In 2012, 44% of whites voted for Obamageddon, and 89% of blacks voted for Obamageddon..then I suppose one can only surmise that black the bloc voting unity for Democrats would be black racism.
---
Guess we need to have some proof about what is torture and what is aggressive interrogation. Let's have the Democrats waterboard the Republicans, and then the Republicans decapitate the Democrats. Then have a roundtable discussion of both parties.
---
Navy.... Best football uniform of the year! Nike...you've been measured and found lacking.
---
You know, I really don't care about general cuts to funding IRS....unless, the cuts specifically defund Lois Lerner's pension, and the salaries of anyone still working for her old office.
---
Don't let the lower costs of gasoline get you too excited...have you seen what the price of meat has gone to in grocery stores?
---
Online quote source: " “Surround yourself with good people. People who are going to be honest with you and look out for your best interests. - Derek Jeter" -- Maybe this is why Jeter and his team wears pin-stripes, and Obamageddon's team needs to be fitted for prison-stripes.
---
Random thought... why is it that liberals who desire to convert the US into a socialist state don't just pack up and move to one that's already established?
---
L-E story: "Dewayne Keith Carter’s life is on the line. * Having testified for the prosecution in two Columbus murder trials involving men killed for cooperating with police, his name likely tops more than one hit list. His life has been threatened, and his safety is so at risk he can’t be housed in the Muscogee County Jail. He must be confined outside the county." -- And what did the L-E do.. the L-E printed a picture of Carter on the front page! Even if Carter is put into witness protection (now or after a sentence) everybody would recognize him anywhere. Guess we'll have a protest and riot/looting binge until Carter gets police protection.
---
L-E headline: "Pro bono attorneys, judges at Legitimation Station help local fathers gain equal legal rights to their children" -- Good grief.. men could get their right protected if they married the woman they impregnate which would show some reasonable attempt at being a good father from the gitgo. Now,, what's "Legitimation Station's" stance of men who father multiple babies with multiple women?
---
From above story: ""But it seems to me that the most logical place to have a reliable, continuing, ongoing source of funding to pay for a coordinator would be the (city's) Office of Crime Prevention because of the very strong correlations that we see between criminality and the lack of presence of a father," he said. "I would think of this as being the original crime prevention program." -- Good grief.. is what he's saying is that if the men had married the mothers of their children, or the women put their babies up for adoption, then our crime rate and incarceration rates would be lower..? That's not a Public Safety LOST issue!
---
Jonathan Gruber Stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Well, now we know for sure Darr is in over his head. A guy spending taxpayer money to sue the city ought to know his own budget. This is getting embarrassing." -- Hmmm, hey Mayor TomLYINGson,, how about stopping your staff from sending in "soundoffs".
---
Poignant L-E "soundoff": " Republicans are not against helping those in need. What we are against is when the social safety net becomes a hammock." -- This is about as succinct as one can get in defining the difference between a "helping hand" and a "handout".
---
NBC ran the video of its "Peter Pan Live" production last night. I stopped watching the "live" production after the first hour (of 3). Last night, I got to miss all three hours... gratefully...
---
L-E headline: "Americans, Belgians mark anniversary of Battle of the Bulge" -- Rumor has it Michele Obama offered a diet solution.
---
L-E headline: "Thousands in U.S. protest police slaying of black men" -- Hmmm, then I guess we can safely assume 100s of millions gave praise and prayed for the safety and presence of police officewrs in our lives and communities.
---
Did you see all the transactions of Columbus regional selling off so many properties? Did you see the companies that are buying them... DOC; MOB LLC.... sounds like a merger between the Department of Corrections and the mafia... sorta makes sense, too.

With gold and silver spot prices hovering near recent lows.. why are precious ore traders trying to sell to us rather than trying to buy it up for themselves?

HuffPost headline/story: "Pelosi Says Legal Weed Still Has A Chance In D.C. * The "cromnibus" spending bill that the House of Representatives passed Thursday is supposed to stop the marijuana legalization approved by D.C. voters in November * Pelosi agrees with the congressional Democrats who say there's a loophole * That loophole arises from language that reads differently in two pieces of legislation -- the omnibus spending bill and a rider introduced by Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) * the omnibus says that no funds “may be used to enact any law, rule, or regulation to legalize or otherwise reduce penalties" associated with the recreational use of drugs illegal under federal law. But where the omnibus says "enact," the Harris rider uses the phrase "carry out." -- Hmmm.. a bill and a rider pass.. one says no funds "may be used" nor can be used to "carry out". Hmmm.. "loophole"..? Looks more like a one-two knockout punch!
---
Online story: "A South Carolina mother was insane when she drove her three children into the ocean and therefore not guilty of child abuse, a Florida judge determined Friday. * Prosecutors, in turn, dropped three attempted murder counts against Ebony Wilkerson. * After ruling that Wilkerson was not guilty by reason of insanity of three counts of child abuse, Circuit Judge Leah Case ordered a hearing next week to determine whether the woman should be involuntarily hospitalized for treatment or released with court supervision." -- "to determine whether the woman should be involuntarily hospitalized for treatment or released with court supervision"? Good grief.. if the judge feels the woman should ever be released under any circumstance, she's as insane as the woman. I'm not a litigious person, but I hope some lawyer will represent the three children in a law suit against the judge for 'mental abuse' that the children will feel just knowing their mother could get out and try it again.
---
Online story: "A federal judge has imposed some limits on what actions police can take during protests in Missouri, ruling that officers must give demonstrators a reasonable chance to disperse before deploying tear gas and other chemical agents." -- Good grief.. what is it with female judges today? In this case, I hope the judge's court security team gets together and tells the judge that it will comply with her Ferguson order, and not try to stop any ranting protestors/defendants in her court until they actually get to the bench.
---
You know...sometimes government out thinks itself and spends way to much money trying to solve a problem. Recently, it was announced that over a million dollars would be "spent" on the intersection of Double Churches Rd at Veterans Parkway. There is a logistics problem, but $1 million..not even $2 million will solve it ...but $100.00 will. Not too long ago, a logging truck was trying to make a right turn off Veterans onto Double Churches. There's a railroad crossing about 30 feet from Veterans, and the grade is about 2 feet higher than the road bed of Veterans. This makes turning right onto Double Churches a reverse banked turn. Anyway, the top heavy logging truck trailer shifted its load making that turn, and turned over, spilling its load onto Veterans and Double Churches. The GA DOT solution is to level out that grade difference. Since the rail bed is not going to be changed, the GA DOT would have to raise Veterans Parkway. Or....or, for a $100.00, maybe less, the GA DOT could simply erect a sign prohibiting tractor-trailers, logging rigs, and dump trucks from making a right turn there. There are plenty of other route options the truck drivers can take.
---
While we're talking about road projects, let's look at the widening of Whittlesey Rd between Whitesville and Veterans. Not too long ago, a big ta-doo was made about unplanned problems delaying the finish by six months and costing another $1 million+ dollars. I rode by Friday about 2:00PM and saw 14 pieces of road equipment, but only 1 was working, and 6 men "working".. 1 was operating the 1 piece of equipment that was working, 2 men were walking around pointing at things, and 3 were distributing straw on the exposed dirt ( to stop erosion if it were to rain). At this rate, we'll soon hear that it will take another 6 months and another $1 million dollars before it's finished.
---
While I'm at it, I may as well tee-off on the roundabout at River Road and Bradley Park/Cascade./Green Island Drive. Now the estimate is up to $1.5 million, and that's not going to be close to what it will eventually cost before it's finished. Pretty big elevation changes will have to be solved, and still, top heavy tractor-trailers, logging rigs, and dump trucks will have to negotiate extreme extended curves that will generate centrifugal forces capable of turning the load beds of the trucks over. Of course the problem could be solved for a lot less money with minor changes to Green Island Drive and River Road. What I've been told by a Councilman is that the GA DOT is not interested in doing a simple fix. The GA DOT wants to do big projects.
---
Today must be Road Day. Also drove along Moon Road where the GA DOT is raping that neighborhood just north of Miller Road and on to Weems Road. The homeowners are getting shafted! None will ever be able to sell their homes..or even get a good rent rate based on what the value was before the GA DOT started scraping away all the front yards that fronted along Moon Road. It looks like some people will have to look both ways for car traffic before stepping off their front porch.
---
Soapbox moment: The recent plea by a local judge to raise ticket fees by a $25.00 "technology fee" is one of the things just wrong about the way government does business. Private businesses adopt new technology as a way to reduce costs and improve productivity and profit margins. Whether it's the Public Safety, Court or City clerks, or Council,I'm tired of local government officials telling us it is going to cost us more money to adopt new technology. Initial outlay is one thing, but if "new technology" doesn't reduce the costs long term, then it's not worth bringing into the system.
---
That $1.1 TRILLION dollar "continuing resolution" had a weird bipartisan coalition...57 Democrats getting their last opportunity to make a difference on spending money that isn't there, and 162 Republicans depending on Karl Rove to make excuses for them.
---
Hey, Senator Feinstein... where's the IRS report on its progress being made on collecting the $4,500,000.00 in taxes owed by al Sharlatan? Why aren't all his accounts frozen like the usual IRS practice in such cases?
---
Jonathan Gruber Stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Fox News supporters who say they learn of news items on Fox that are not reported by the “mainstream media” should realize they really don’t need to know that news." -- Good grief.. this guy must take his daily Kool-Aid by IV.
---
L-E headline: "Will Muschamp set to return as Auburn defensive coordinator" -- Well, he's certainly shown he knows how to block and dodge all the 'stones" thrown at him this year.
---
L-E's "Quotable": “Either I will find a way, or I will make one.” - Philip Sidney British soldier and poet (1554-1586) -- Hmmm.. now nearly 500 years later, the mainstream media and Democrats have now proclaim, "Either I will find a way, or I will make one up."
---
You know.. one of the most depressing features in the Columbus L-E is the DUI photo section. It's not that the pictures shouldn't be made known to the public (we NEED to know), but the pictures are printed in the paper unless it's their 2nd or 3rd time being caught in 5 years. What's depressing is how many time they didn't get caught after the first time.
---
L-E headline: "SCANDAL- FREE HEISMAN TROPHY CEREMONY FOCUSED ON FOOTBALL" -- You know.. say what you will.. FSU is still undefeated for the second year in a row, and while FSU has not dominated, in fact, has often had to make heroic 2nd half/4th quarter efforts to stay unbeaten, how does the QB that won the 2013 Heisman not make the "finals" of the 2014 Heisman focus?
---
L-E headline: "Wealth gap widens between whites and minorities" -- And with good reason.. Democrats.. Democrats want minorities dependent on the government, and even Democrats know government cannot provide anything but safety net needs, but keep such reeled in "on the hook" by promising what they will never be able to provide. Minorities would do so much better supporting the people that want everyone to be successful on their own accord and effort.

Online story: "the House narrowly approved $1.1 trillion in government-wide spending Thursday night after President Barack Obama and Republicans joined forces to override Democratic complaints that the bill would also ease bank regulations imposed after the economy's near-collapse in 2008. * 57 Democrats supported the bill, including two of the top three party leaders and Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who doubles as the chair of the Democratic National Committee." -- Hmmm interesting... We know Pelosi didn't support it, but "two (unnamed) of the top three party leaders" did. Hmmm.. guess that makes last election's Chair of the DNC out on her rear as the House Democrats look towards January.
---
Whoopi Goldberg took claim for "passing gas" on the view one day, then denied it the next. Personally, after listening to the video, it was the most intelligent thing she's ever been associated with.. guess that why she denied it later.

From "the (hopefully) only in California" department - Online story: "Next year, three California school districts will soon participate in a experiment that will examine whether school buses can be used beyond their traditional scope of transporting children to and from classrooms. * A group of companies operating a Clinton Global Initiative grant envision a zero-emissions future for school buses that's far more versatile. They're working with the schools to retrofit six school buses that double as rolling generators in their spare time. * Once their appointed rounds are complete, these school buses can be used to make additional money for their owners by charging their new electric battery packs at off-peak hours and later selling the electricity back to power companies at higher prices during high-demand times." -- Looks like California is about to take "Common Core" to a whole 'nother level... "Common CRAP"! First, we can only assume that some School Board/System has been sold a bill of goods that "charging electric battery packs" is free (people using other people's money tend to think that); secondly, that School Board/System "feels" (ain't know thinking here) that there would be no costs (maintenance or depreciation) in using buses for other purposes; and thirdly, that equipping school buses with "power packs" would never be a problem in an accident when 50-75 children are riding on them!
---
Hmmm, you know.. if schools want to reduce some costs, why don't they work with the city transit departments and rent out those school buses for public transportation during "off hours"? Hey, in fact, our MCSD has about 300 or so buses without drivers.. the MCSD could probably run Columbus METRA out-of-business as a competitor!
---
Oh.. of course those school buses in New Orleans could have been used to transport people out of the way of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 instead of leaving them parked in a flood zone.
---
Online story: " Dozens of congressional staffers walked out of their offices Thursday afternoon to show solidarity with demonstrators who are protesting the decisions not to indict police officers who killed Eric Garner in New York and Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri." -- Wait a minute.. we just got hit with another $1.1 TRILLION dollar bill to keep government running and hundreds of congressional staffers just took a "protest break" on time we are paying for? Obviously, none of those protestors were necessary to keep the government running, so FIRE THEM ALL!
---
L-E story: "The severity of the financial issues came to light Nov. 20 when St. Francis officials outlined what they termed a $30 million accounting inaccuracy that was discovered in late October. " -- Why.. no, how can a $30 MILLION dollar discrepancy be referred to as an "accounting inaccuracy"? There had to be a lot of paper shuffling to create a financial report that covered this up, and merely shuffling paper would not benefit the upper executives. There has to $30 Million in assets out there somewhere, that the financial juggler(s) felt was worth the risk and effort.
---

St Francis' "accounting inaccuracy"? Hmmm, David Copperfield might be interested in an illusion of this magnitude,, $30,000,000.00 up in smoke and no one knowing where it went but him.
---
Online story: "Portland, Ore., is the latest city to make drivers pay to park, even if they have a handicapped tag. Supporters say the move prevents drivers -- handicapped, and able-bodied -- from overusing parking spots, not to mention ending the fraudulent use of handicapped tags. But disability advocates and others say it's just unfair to those who are truly disabled. * Since Portland started charging in July, the number of cars parking with placards has plunged 70 percent. It's evidence, some say, that many tag holders were scamming the system. But advocates for the disabled argue there could be another explanation: They can't afford to pay. * More than 20 states still require their cities to provide free parking to the handicapped. Several of those states, including California, impose no time limits, allowing cars to park with a placard for days or even weeks at a time. " -- Good grief.. when you try to be compassionate to the really deserving, the parasites come out of the woodwork. To begin with, if someone has a car, they can afford to pay for parking.. especially preferential/convenient parking. Oh yeah...and give tickets to cars marked with HDCP plates or hang tags which use non-HDCP spaces.
---
Hey Obamageddon.. hey, Pric Holder.. if we are (and we are) a nation of laws, why aren't all laws fit to be applied equally to and for all citizens? Our forefathers gave us a way to change laws that need to be changed, but they did not provide for any body of the government to decide on its own to ignore particular ones.
---
Online quote source: "“Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” - Winston Churchill" -- Obviously Obamageddon confuses failure as a success way too far.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “To escape criticism — do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.” — Elbert Hubbard, American author and publisher (1856-1915)." -- Obviously, Hubbard never anticipated al Sharlatan or Obamageddon...
---
L-E headline: "DOJ says tribes can decide whether to legalize pot" -- Good grief.. since when has the DOJ become the "trump card" to override the US Supreme Court?
---
L-E story: "Crews worked carefully Thursday to remove a time capsule dating back to 1795 from the granite cornerstone of the Massachusetts Statehouse, where historians believe it was originally placed by Revolutionary War luminaries Samuel Adams and Paul Revere among others. * The time capsule will not be immediately opened but instead taken to Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, where it will be X-rayed to determine its contents." -- Wow! This needs to be unveiled on national TV...with one little condition.. that Geraldo Rivera be given a court order and confined to the "vault" of Al Capone until the time capsule is opened in Boston!
---
You know.. our road/bridge infrastructure problems are not to be blamed on time.. time is a given. Deterioration is human oversight (now this is something the "climate change" wackos could redeem themselves with).... mainly politicians.. Once roads and bridges and public buildings are built, they require ongoing maintenance, but politicians would rather kick that can down the road and build newer monuments to themselves. We have a dog run, and negative revenue producing natatoriums and ice rinks, and public office/school building erected because the old ones were not maintained along the way. Of course, my favorite wasteful legacy monument is the $244K public bathroom Mayor TomLYINGson built for us to remember her time in office.

L-E headline/story: "GBI: INFANT FATALLY INJURED BEFORE FIRE * a later autopsy revealed Mitchell was fatally stabbed prior to the fire, officials could not easily determine Conner’s cause of death. * Less than an hour after investigators pulled the bodies from the fire, Columbus Police Officer Jason Swails found Mitchell’s boyfriend, Brandon Conner, sitting idly at the corner of Cedar Avenue and Wynnton Road in his blue 2001 BMW 740iL. * Police said the 35-year-old man, who was Dylan Conner’s father, had blood on his face, chin and shirt. * After securing a search warrant for the vehicle, police say they found bloody clothes on the vehicle’s seat and floorboard and a serrated knife with blood on it." -- "blue 2001 BMW 740iL."? What is this, a car advertisement or a police report? Unless the knife found was an "original factory installed car accessory" , describing the perpetrator's vehicle simply as "car" would have been perfectly acceptable.
---
L-E story: "Columbus law enforcement officials, city leaders, local activists and concerned residents gathered Thursday for a town hall meeting to discuss recent police shootings of unarmed citizens across the nation. * The event, organized by the newly formed Columbus-Metro Association of Black Journalists, drew about 100 people to the Davidson Student Center Auditorium at Columbus State University." -- "newly formed Columbus-Metro Association of Black Journalists"? Good grief... do the members have to be graduates of journalism schools from "traditional black colleges"? Does the news have to have a particular color to be reported? What happened to Martin Luther King's "dream".. character, not color?

Online story: "The State Department has failed to turn over government documents covering Hillary Rodham Clinton's tenure as secretary of state that the AP and others requested under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act ahead of her presumptive presidential campaign. * They include one request AP made four years ago and others pending for more than one year. * The agency already has missed deadlines it set for itself to turn over the material." -- Deja vu? Rumor has it Las Vegas has established odds that the files will suddenly appear on a table in the lobby of The Rose Law firm. in 2017.

Hey, Senator Feinstein, where's your report on the IRS scandals? ...Thinking about Senator Feinstein being more concerned at filleting the CIA more than the IRS really chaps me. I think America is a lot less concerned about how we treat known spies and terrorist than how our government treats law abiding citizens.
---
Just a follow up on my experience trying to find a visitor/parent parking spot on the campus of Columbus State so I could go to the Bursar's Office and pay my daughter's Spring tuition.. Like I said, there were only 5 spaces marked for "visitor" (all filled) and there were two spots with a "Reserved for Zipcar".. (naturally they were empty). I just looked up what "Zipcar" is.. "Zipcar is the world's largest car sharing and car club service. It is an alternative to traditional car rental and car ownership." -- Good grief.. CSU reserves (I'm sure Zipcar has paid for them) two spots for rented cars! Wait'll Hertz, Avis et al find out. Bet students will have fewer spaces then.

When Bush43 took office, the National Debt was about $5,700,000,000,000.00, and when he turned the reins over to Obamageddon, the National Debt was about $10,100,000,000,000.00. Now it's $18,000,000,000,000.00.. In six years of Obamageddon, $7,900,000,000,000.00 has been added. Obamageddon has already added more debt than was accumulated by the first 42 presidents, and by the day he leaves, Obamageddon's National Debt will eclipse the total left by all the previous presidents.. combined!!
---
Oh..one more reason Obamageddon wants more entitlement programs for the illegals, unemployed, and college students at the detriment of our military and veterans. Votes... There are many more (Romney said about 47 MILLION) willing to pledge their "dependence" for their own freebies than their are veterans who are used to fighting for freedom from government dependence.
---
L-E story: "In addition to filing motions this week to dismiss their litigation against the city, the city has filed a counterclaim against Marshal Greg Countryman and Municipal Court Clerk Vivian Creighton Bishop. * The lawsuit asks the court to either demand that they repay or allow the city to withhold from their pay the $7,500 each they spent on lawyers, using city-issued credit cards. It also asks the court to order them to pay the city’s legal fees involved in the recovery of the money." -- Hmmm... Darr and Pierce aren't bring sued and Bishop and Countryman are. Hmm, where's al Sharlatan claiming racism? I mean.. what's the law got to do with the differences?
---
Online story: "The president of a prestigious institution of higher education — a private, independent, women’s liberal arts college in Northampton, Massachusetts — has bent over backwards to apologize for saying that “all lives matter.” * in trying to be more inclusive in her wording — noting that “all lives matter” — McCartney reportedly ran afoul of the students and faculty for whom “black lives matter” is a slogan that cannot be altered." -- Well.. consistency in the black community seems to be universal.. the NAACP doesn't think "white" is a color it can support, either.

Online story: "During a recent interview with radio host Michael Smerconish, Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-4) explored the position of ideological rival Dr. Ben Carson. After reporting that the former neurosurgeon is polling well among likely 2016 Republican presidential candidates, Smerconish asked his guest to weigh in on Carson’s allegations that Barack Obama has actually damaged race relations in America over the past six years. * He complained that “we have blacks like that trying to tap into the ignorance of people who have been whipped into a frenzy, like a lynch mob, and you try to garner support from these folks,” adding that “there can be nothing more disappointing than that kind of thinking.” -- "Tap into ignorance"? Hank Johnson, bless his heart, is a Jonathan Gruber Stupid Award winner for telling us that the Island of Guam would tip over if the USA move more military equipment onto our base there.

I pulled into my bank yesterday, and a shredder truck was taking up 3 spaces (including the HDCP one). Should I be alarmed and look for another bank?
---
Online headline: "Next head of NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio's Security Unit has to be black" -- As the Church Lady might add, "Isn't that special." You know, regardless of the qualifications of the person tapped, he/she will never be able to deal with the fact that he/she was picked because of his/her skin color rather than being the best choice of all available choices the Mayor had, and it won't matter even if he/she IS the best qualified..
---
Do you imagine the students protesting in China have any sympathy for Berkeley students?
---
Oh, and have you read about any looting done by the Chinese students?
---
Online headline:"Al Sharpton says blacks can't be expected to take care of their families unless gov't provides jobs" -- Good grief.. and blacks rally around al Sharlatan..? Why?
---
L-E headline: "Columbus judge seeks higher fees on traffic violations" -- You know.. if technology makes the Troopers more efficient, wouldn't being back on duty faster justify the adaptation of the new technology pay for itself versus adding more fees to the tickets?
---
L-E story: " A woman who has accused Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting her in the 1970s filed a defamation lawsuit Wednesday against the comedian, alleging he “publicly branded” her a liar through statements made by his lawyer and publicist." -- DOH! That's already her position to defend.
---
L-E's " Thought for Today": “It takes a long time to understand nothing.” — Edward Dahlberg, American author and critic (1900-1977)." -- Hmmm, and it takes a lot longer to understand "nothing" as defined by Obamageddon and his spinmeisters.
---
L-E headline: "Black police straddle a line between race, duty" -- A white policeman would be fired for just suggesting this! No police officer should base his decisions on the color of a criminal's skin. Of course, it would be easier to expect this if our president and US Attorney General adopted the same attitude.
---
L-E headline: "Nearly 9 in 10 doubt Obama, GOP can break gridlock" -- Hmmm. now who's fault is this.. the one man who disagrees with the 300 of 535 representatives elected by the voters in the last election, or the 300 of 535 representative the people elected to change the direction the president has been taking?

Online headline/story: "Lawmakers agree on $1.1 trillion spending bill * House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued a statement that said she was hopeful her rank and file could support the bill, but needed to review the final language." -- "review the final language"? Pelosi wants to read a bill before she passes it? Hey, Hillewinsky, since Pelosi is a relevant as a placibo, now ii the time to for your legacy line, "What difference does it make!"
---
Hopefully the last bit on Ferguson - Online story: "The Justice Department is conducting a separate civil rights investigation into Brown's death." -- Hmmm, but not one on al Sharlatan and Pric Holder violating Officer Wilson's civil rights?
---
Well, one more question.. Michael Orlandus Darrion Brown, Jr.... where is Michael Orlandus Darrion Brown, Sr?
---
Online story: "Northern California residents are bracing for a powerful storm that could be the biggest in five years and prompted the National Weather Service to issue a high wind and flash flood warning." -- Hmm.. guess it's only appropriate that the storm be named for Dianne Feinstein AND Nancy Pelosi.. California should be well prepared for "high winds and flash floods" after listening to their whining over the years.
---
Famous Hillewinsky quote that could be described as a "half-truth": "We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt." - Hillary Clinton, ABC News interview, June 9." -- Hmmm, maybe by "we", she meant the USA...
---
Online story: " Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the only member of the U.S. Senate who personally knows what it means to be tortured, on Tuesday strongly defended the Democratic-led Senate investigation into the CIA's post-9/11 interrogation program, saying the agency's activities "stained our national honor, did much harm, and little practical good." -- "stained our national honor"? Wait a minute.. then McCain needs to stop making a career on his own torture stories from his Viet Nam days!
---
Online story: "A group planning to restore and preserve the oldest existing structure on the National Mall in Washington will receive a $1 million grant to do the work, the group said on Tuesday." -- Oooops, my bad.. thought our Mayor Obamalinson had found another RiverWalk bathroom more expensive than ours.
---
From above story: "The non-profit Trust for the National Mall said American Express Co would provide $1 million to help rehabilitate the 178-year-old Lockkeeper's House and use it as an education space for visitors.
* Despite its prominent location, the building has been boarded up for more than 40 years and is in a state of extreme disrepair" -- Good grief... "boarded up for more than 40 years and is in a state of extreme disrepair"? Are they sure they aren't talking about the Capitol?
---
Watching my cuz Ann Conger on Jeopardy last night (12-9-14) . The guy contestant had a Daily Double, and he said, "Geraldine Ferrara" but that is wrong. Her name was Ferraro. It was not corrected.
---
Random thought..VERY random thought: Portobello mushrooms..I've had some very good ones prepared and served to me, but there's nothing that would get me to order a fast food burger with a portobello mushroom .
---
Somebody make sure the Columbus L-E and Council see this before Mayor TomLYINGson orders a video to educate Columbus folks. I love the part about "Take it slow".. That's really going to be the case... NOT... when hiway traffic roars down River Road to the scheduled "roundabout" at Bradley Park & Cascade/Green Island Drive.... especially those logging and dump trucks.
---
Sen. Feinstein said she was surprised at the problems in the CIA were in the control of do few people.. Hmmm, sorta like the problems in getting House bills to the Senate floor bring in the hands of herself, Reid, and Schumer et al.
---
How can Sen. Feinstein claim that a 1-to-10 page ratio synopsis collated by a person chosen by Democrats is a valid..true depiction of CIA operations?
---
You know...Jonathan Gruber is suppose to come on TV soon. I hope he takes "the 5th". It will prove OObamaCRAP should have been stopped as a crime against the country.
---
You know, listening to Jonathan Gruber sidestep questions dealing with how much he was paid for government work just cries out for a new law requiring any individual or corporate executive called into a Congressional investigation to mandatorily provide W-2, 1099/98 or other IRS forms plus the corresponding IRS tax filings to the top Republican and Democrat leaders in the House and Senate.
---
I'm curious..why are any Democrats allowed into House committee investigations? I never hear one ask a pertinent question that will help get to the bottom of what's been done.
---
I've concentrated on alternative, better descriptive names to use to point out the failures of President Obama.. some examples are the current :Obamageddon", and other throughout his 6 years such as 'NERO-bama, Ali-Bama and his 40 TSars, and several more. Now I must do the same for Al Sharpton... now he will be known as All Sharlatan. * On second thought.. maybe al Sharlatan might be more comforting to the Islamists terrorists that are buddying up to him.
---
L-E headline: "Bama's Cooper, Mizzou's Ray capture AP SEC awards" -- Shane Ray's "honor" should be revoked..His spearing/targeting of Blake Sims' chin/head was brutal and obviously intended to be a knock-him-out-of-the-game play.
---
Online headline/story: "College prof makes students recite anti-American 'pledge of allegiance' * “I pledge allegiance to and wrap myself in the flag of the United States Against Anything Un-American,” reads Angeletti's version. “And to the Republicans for which it stands, two nations, under Jesus, rich against poor, with curtailed liberty and justice for all except blacks, homosexuals, women who want abortions, Communists, welfare queens, treehuggers, feminazis, illegal immigrants, children of illegal immigrants, and you, if you don't watch your step.” * “We’re very racist, we’re very repressive, we’re very Christian oriented, we don’t tolerate other kinds of thinking in this country.” Charles Angeletti, professor at Metropolitan State University" -- You know.. the only bigot.racist, here is Angeletti himself. In addition, he's flavored his with Nazism, Fascism, Communism and Socialism. The producers of "God is NOT Dead" have a great sequel to write about..."America's Future is NOT Dead"... they can even plagiarize the ending.
---
Online headline: "Biden to code-writing girls: ‘You’re as smart as any boy’ -- Hmmm.. and a lot smarter than Biden...
---
Online story: "The St. Louis police chief has asked for the FBI's help investigating what he believes was a hate crime attack against a woman in the same Bosnian neighborhood where a man was beaten to death days earlier by hammer-wielding teens, and where assaults have spiked dramatically in recent months. * One of the assailants flashed a gun and ordered the woman out of her vehicle and another hit the woman's windshield with what police believe was a crowbar, authorities said. * "You're Bosnian," one of the suspects allegedly said. "I should just kill you now." * The woman, who was pulled from the car and then beaten, was found unconscious by a passerby," -- Hmmm.. "you're Bosnian"... guess Charlie Rangel will say this is a term of endearment, too. Looks like "Bosnian" is the new code word street thugs use for "white".
---
Two high profile black spokespersons were on Bill O'Reilly. One finished the discussion saying there are still too many senior citizens with racist attitudes.. You know..I agree 100%..and immediately thought about al Sharatan, Jesse Jackson, and Charlie Rangel.
---
I think police should not negotiate with a criminal..known or alleged..if the weapon holder doesn't immediately drop the weapon, whether gun, knife, baseball bat or whatever. Failure to do so should be responded with a bullet..immediately. Once this policy hits the street, police confrontation, police disrespect should be a thing if the past.
---
Talk about perspective, and "cause and effect", of the 60 liberal Senators who voted for "OObamaCRAP II", only 30 are still sitting in the Senate. It should have been a great message, but too many of them got replaced by more Democrats.
---
Online headline: "Democrats say they may try to obstruct Republicans" -- and what's new?
---
Did you see where Columbia Law School told its students they could reschedule their exams if they suffered trauma from disappointment of recent grand jury findings. Huh? Does Columbia teach that police officers are not entitled to due process?
---
Online headline: "Beloit, Wisconsin, police chief Norm Jacobs is asking city residents to volunteer to allow police to search their homes for guns." -- Good grief.. and who is the guy think is going to allow such.. criminals, no way... legitimate gun owners.. no way..stupid people with no guns and thinking they have nothing to hide.. probably.. and don't you know the criminals will be watching which house the gestapo searches so they will know which house won't be able to fight back. I assume the Chief of Police is appointed by the Mayor and/or Council, so the gun owners should petition for a recall on the Mayor/Council so a new one can appoint a new Chief of Police.
---
L-E headline: "Columbus Regional sells medical office buildings for $34.5 million" -- You know.. what is Columbus Regional going to do with that money? By "selling off" its assets, Columbus Regional has basically saddled itself with years and years of higher and escalating rent debt. That translates into higher medical costs that are not medically generated.
---
L-E headline: "City attorneys file motions to dismiss suits" -- While he's at it, do something cost effective.. file for dismissal of Pierce, Countryman, and Bishop.

I thought Obamageddon said he didn't have time for "photo ops"... then why did he meet with Prince William at the White House..to discuss both their executive housing welfare plans?
---
Online headline and another "photo-op": "President Obama takes over 'The Colbert Report'" -- Good grief..Obamageddon orders Holder to wage war on "profiling", then pulls off a cheap street scene that only begged of the question of where's his leash , donation cup, and organ grinder...
---
You know.. Obamageddon would fail at Stephen Colbert's job... too... Good humor is based on the truth, the actualities of life everyone can associate with, and Obamageddon knows not the truth.
---
From the "you can't make this stuff up: department - Online headline: "Attn! Kate and Will met Queen Bey and Jay Z" -- I saw where the roles of Michele and Barry..the movie.. have been cast. Guess Beyonce and Jay Z were not available, but were Kate and William trying for an intervention?
---
Did you see where Columbia Law School told its students they could reschedule their exams if they suffered trauma from disappointment of recent grand jury findings. Huh? Does Columbia teach that police officers are not entitled to due process?
---
Hey, Pric Holder...you gonna arrest those protestors who have profiled those Berkeley businesses as looting targets?
---
I just saw, if not the stupidest, then the most foretelling bumper sticker ...ever. It read, 'I am not a Republican". Good grief..liberals just will not say what they mean,,or admit they are Democrats.
---
The Belk Bowl....the BELK Bowl! There'll be no need to rush out to buy tickets .. next week they'll be 40% off regular price and the following week they'll be "buy one and get one free".
---
Talk about a living oxymoron, Senator Dianne Feinstein is the Democrat head of the current Senate Intelligence Committee. Fortunately, this will change in January.
---
Obamageddon has released 6 Gitmo "detainees" to Uruguay. Uruguay gladly took them. Have terrorist cells taken up root there?
---
Obamageddon campaigned on a platform of "Hope and Change" . How come he is so opposed to "Changing" his mind/direction now that the vast majority of Americans have rejected his plans?
---
I've maybe concentrated on alternative, better descriptive names to use to point out the failures of President Obama.. some examples are the current :Obamageddon", and ither throughout his 6 years such as 'NERO-bama, Ali-Bama and his 40 TSars, and several more. Now I must do the same for Al Sharpton... now he will be known as All Sharlatan.
---
Online headline: "Notre Dame to Teach White Students That They are Inherently Racist" -- Hmmm...Wonder if Notre Same will teach that the Pope is an infidel in Muslim cultures?
---
Online headline: "Mother of Tamir Rice, 12-year-old boy fatally shot in Cleveland by police, wants officer convicted" -- Here we go again.. making an issue out of a mother's grief.. legitimate grief for the loss of her 12 year old son....BUT.. like most, I saw the video.. I also noted that the 12 year old was big for his age, and that he was waving the "gun" at the officers. Let's be honest.. we hear of horror stories of street thugs of teen and even pre-teen age involved in gun deaths, so what werethe police officers suppose to do .. just think that this was just a prank and they would walk away laughing about the situation as they clocked off duty and headed home to their own families? Police are human, too.. police have families, too... policemen familiies have fears, too.
---
Jonathan Gruber Stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Republicans try to cut programs for those who need help most, i.e., welfare, food stamps, Social Security, etc., in order to fatten the coffers of those who need it least." -- Where do LIVs pick up these notions? Social Security is not funded by the government nor with tax revenues. It's savings paid for by the individual and/or his/her employer's matching contribution. Of course, even if you don't work, don't pay into your Social Security account, you will still get some of somebody else's labors. Stop voting for Democrats, and you will get more from Social Security when you retire.
---
Jonathan Gruber Stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "An executive order can’t be repealed; it has to run its course and expire. However, that will give time for the Democrats to retake Congress and pass sane laws." -- Good grief! The entire public school system should be scrapped! Even if this is the only public school system student who left the system not knowing how our government works, it's one too many.
---
Hmmm.. after complaining about how the Senate Republicans "wouldn't work" with him the last 6 years, do you really think Harry Reid will direct the Senate Democrats to work with Mitch McConnell?
---
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a letter-to-the-editor that ran in the Columbus L-E about how many buses the MCSD system has on hand and the disparity of the number of drivers to use them (500+ buses - 207 drivers). I also sent a copy to the MCSD board. Would you believe no one responded to refute or explain the numbers and/or offer plans being discussed to rein in future excesses? No one dispelled the "rumor" that buying 60 more buses would be on the next SPLOST proposal, either.
