I've noticed that some heavy construction equipment has appeared at the Water Works Park across from the Amos Cancer Center on Veterans Parkway here in Columbus, GA where some Pickle Ball Courts are scheduled to be built.. While we have had some preliminary information, I'm not sure who's providing the money, or what is planned with the existing structures on that property, but it looks like there may be some possible demolition in the mix. To be honest, I'm not even sure what the function of those two buildings is, but if there was "function", where will such "functions" be fulfilled, and if there wasn't "function", why were they built. Now, the bottom line is: If the Water Work Park is converted to a commercialized space, the money spent on the property by the Columbus Water Works needs to be reimbursed by the operators and used to offset any future rate increases the Water Works will want to add into our water rates.
