Remember August of 1996... the Atlanta Olympics... the bomb at Olympic Park where serial bomber Eric Rudolph placed a pipe bomb which killed 2 and wounded another 28, and where Richard Jewell was persecuted until it became evident he was actually a hero. Then there was Olympic Softball in down the road in Columbus GA. Council spent about $7 million turning a great AA- ball stadium Into a softball stadium that destroyed Minor League baseball here for the next 29 years... We'll just have to wait and see if spending $50 million on giving historic GOLDEN Park a makeover and new name will be worth it...I'm still a little bit "Synnacle" about it.

Queens beat the Height, and the Firebells (why not "FireBelles?")
beat the Hunters. What I didn't hear was whether the pitchers threw 100 MPH
