From the "Paul Harvey: The rest of the story" department... We heard about two men being arrested before they could commit a mass shooting in Virginia on July 4th, but now...on July 8th, we're learning both men are illegal aliens! Now we know why the government and MSM soft-sold the event... if it had been some white-supremacist group, it would have "front page/above the fold" and CNN's opening story for the next two weeks!

From the "Pardon me Shakespeare, but THIS is "much ado about nothing....but BS" department - Online story" "Shortly after Gov. Jared Polis signed an executive order Wednesday forbidding state officials from helping other states in criminal and civil investigations of women who travel there to receive abortions, Colorado's secretary of state, Jena Griswold, affirmed that her office would "not extradite anyone for a criminal violation of another state’s laws." -- Good grief! Colorado sells marijuana to Georgians who travel there... Georgia cannot enforce Georgia marijuana laws on Georgians who travel to Colorado and buy/consume such while in Colorado.. the same will go for other Colorado laws as well.
---
Speaking of Colorado's new "liberal grandstanding law"... remember when you could go to Mexico...Nevada, even, and get a quickie "no fault" divorce in a matter of days/weeks while your state required 6 months or a year's residency? Well your state honored Mexican and Nevadan divorces despite the differences in laws..

From the "there ought to be a fraud charge made for begging for useless donations" department - Online story: " More than 400 years after the first European settlers arrived, Jamestown, Virginia, is struggling to survive the ravages of climate change. * "We are concerned that if we don't take action, Jamestown will be lost," said Elizabeth Kostelny, who runs Preservation Virginia, the nonprofit overseeing the colony's original 22 acres along the James River. * "Jamestown's incredibly important," she told CBS News. "It tells a national story about our persistence, our democracy and the beginnings of our race relations." * Kostelny, who is racing to save it from rising water, said America will lose "part of its soul" if the site sinks." -- Good grief! Whatta "con"! Granted, dikes and levies may help a short term fix to prevent freak flooding, but if water rises because of "climate change", then that means all oceans around the entire EARTH have risen and there's nothing even putting a 20' high "dam" along the entire state of Virginia's coast line will do to keep water out of Jamestown...
---
Online "headLIE"/story: "Gas: ‘I expect to see lower pump prices over the next month or so’, analyst says * Gas prices have started to slowly decline thanks to decreasing oil prices, and one analyst is expecting that trend to continue throughout the month." -- Good grief! The biggest impact on getting lower prices is when drivers reduce the amount of miles they drive daily.. Not only does less fuel consumption mean less demand, but it also means LESS TRIPS to the stations who meed customers for their convenience store business as well..so... price reductions hopefully will attract more available customers.

I've known about dogs smelling skills in tracking down people by scents, in manhunts and cadaver searches.. and I've known about dogs who could sniff out drugs... but I didn't know about.. until this weekend... that dogs can sniff out electronics. Then I saw this Online headline/story: "CNN airs bodycam footage of Trump DOJ lawyer during DOJ raid: 'Can I put my pants on?' * CNN obtained a copy of police reports which indicate officials seized a number of electronic devices from Clark during that early morning raid,” Burnett said. “Officers also dispatched an electronics-sniffing dog to search Clark’s house." -- Seriously... "electronics-sniffing dogs"? Hey! Where can I rent one? I need to find 2 TV remotes and three electronic noise making toys of my grandchildren! On the other hand... maybe those dogs need to be used wherever Hunter Biden has been over the last 15 years.....
---
From the "Pee Wee Herman, "I know you are but what am I?" department - Online headline/story: "Biden signs executive order on abortion access amid pressure from Democrats * Speaking from the Roosevelt Room of the White House alongside Vice President Kamala Harris and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, Biden decried the court's decision two weeks ago as "extreme" and "totally wrong." -- "extreme" and "totally wrong."? Yep... I can see Chief Justice Roberts' response to the White House "handlers", "I know you are, but what am I?"
---
Governor Abbott is taking "the bull by the horns"... Particularly the "bull" spread by Resident Biden, Chuckles Harris, and "My Yapping Yorkie" Mayorkas? Abbott has instructed his border agents and TX National Guard to take illegal alien invaders to official US Government "Ports of Entry" on our border so the US Government can be held accountable for handling things as charged by law to protect our border.
---
Online headline: "Shinzo Abe assassination: Biden, world leaders 'outraged' at former Japanese prime minister's death" -- Hmmm.. Resident Biden has nothing to worry about.. He's insured safety by the replacement policy of the US government.. the next 2 in line are Harris and Pelosi..
---
Online headline: "CBP finds 'no evidence' Border Patrol agents whipped Haitian migrants, but still seeks to discipline them" -- Hmmm... Glad there was video to confirm the actions of the Border Patrol we're policy driven... But speaking of "glad there was video", what about at that bodega in NYC where the older man killed his assailant with a knife as his was body thrown around the facility... if not, Resident Biden would have called the Manhattan DA and demanded for him to be publicly executed!
---
Interesting... JoKKKe Biden wants to punish CBP agents for being in total control of their horses, yet didn't feel he should be punished for his dog biting Secret Service agents.
---
Online headline: "Schumer-aligned dark money nonprofit raked in record $105 million from anonymous donors, tax forms show" -- I don't mind how much people donate to whomever they wish.. but only as long as it's given publicly and by verifiable American citizens who are registered voters.
---
Online headline: "Army cuts pay, benefits from more than 60,000 unvaccinated National Guard, Reserves * Army pledges to keep encouraging service members to get the vaccine" -- I don't call penalizing a patriot by cutting pay and benefits "encouragement"...it's coercion... blackmail... and unpatriotic! Every federal Democrat candidate should be grilled on his/her position on this manipulation by the "Commander in Chief".
---
Another "PeeWee Herman" inspired online headline: "Biden says SCOTUS, GOP do not 'have a clue' about the 'power of American women, but they're about to find out'" -- As PeeWee might respond, " I know you are (clueless), but what am I?".. Every time Resident Biden speaks in public we KNOW he is clueless...and not just about women....

Wonder when our Columbus GA Council will notice that the sign at the new Robert S. Poydasheff VA Clinic refers to Central Alabama Healthcare System.... Was Bob Poydasheff the mayor of an Alabama city, too?
---
Monday Monday... Hey, Columbus, GA .. did you know a lawsuit has been filed with the FEC (and I hope with the Senate Ethics Committee) about Senator Warnock using campaign funds to defend pre-candidacy situations? According to the Federal Election Commission, campaign money can only be used on “litigation expenses where the candidate/officeholder was the defendant and the litigation arose directly from campaign activity or the candidate’s status as a candidate. When Warnock’s legal team attempted to get the lawsuit dismissed last year, it pointed out that Robertson’s claims “relate to actions purportedly taken in 2005 and 2008, when he [Warnock] was not a federal employee.”I found it online, but have yet to see any local news coverage... Maybe Warnock needs a new title... something like Sinner Warnock... We already have seen 4 Commandments he's broken belittling Herschel Walker.
Here's the Headline and URL (https://nypost.com/2022/07/06/raphael-warnock-allegedly-used-campaign-funds-for-lawsuit/)

From the "Foghorn Leghorn, "Nice boy but he’s got more nerve than a bum tooth" department -- Dems are "trial ballooning" another "high income earners" tax to bolster Medicaid... I guess it's a modern interpretation of the Marxist/Socialist creed "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" ... has been expanded to:
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs... according to Queen PeLOUSY and the DNC Campaign agenda."

New Jersey just passed a law that "allows" teenagers to work 50 hours a week... Hmmm... I presume that includes school students during the school year, but doesn't this change in the law open the door to "teen aged sweatshops" again?
---
Fox News Channel needs an overhaul.. instead of being a "news source", it's become more like a tabloid entertainment site.. coverage of the Depp-Heard trial was not news, nor is the escapades of the killer of the bicyclist in a love triangle, yet this is becoming Fox's prime focus as well.
---
Looks like the National Educators Association (NEA) is banning books from schools.... All dictionaries that define "Mother" in the traditional manner!
And speaking of backfiring, now the NEA will have to explain to the LGBTQ why two married women who have.. or adopt.. a children can no longer refer to themselves as "mother's".
---
Wonder if "Big Daddy Joe" get's his 10%?

From the "Isaac was saved because Abraham believed in the Lord... but US Democrats believe in separation from the Lord" department :

WTVM-TV9 story: "In 2021, Columbus had 72 homicides. This year things are looking a bit different for the Chattahoochee Valley. * According to Mayor Skip Henderson, the city is down fifty-one percent in homicides compared to last year. However, even with this decrease, they still have work to do, says Henderson." -- Since the 2021 number has been "bumped" up one from earlier accounting for 71 homicides=, we can assume that the recently discovered body of the woman who went missing in November of 2021 was added to the old figure rather than this years... Now, Is Mayor Skip's claim of being "down fifty-one percent in homicides compared to last year" based on ALL of 2021 or against the number of homicides through July 6th of 2021?
---
WTVM-TV9 story: "(Coroner Buddy) Bryan says outside of Atlanta - Columbus has the most deaths than any other city in the state of Georgia." -- Hmmm.. having the second largest total amount of homicides to Atlanta (158 in 2021) might be a "reasonable" assumption... until you parse how many homicides per 100,000 people who live in Columbus versus Atlanta.. In 2021, Columbus had 72 homicides (1 per 2,777 population) but Atlanta's 2021 population was about 500,000, so on comparison basis, Atlanta had less per capita homicides (1 per 3,164) than Columbus.

Hmmm... how can we trust Forbes Magazine data any more? I just learned that Forbes Magazine is now owned by a company in China....
---
Online headline: "More than 300 state employees in Virginia have resigned following a push by Governor Glenn Youngkin to get employees to return to the office." -- Hmmm... undoubtedly Democrat hirees from the previous administrations... and they will hardly be missed..... but do any of them "feel" they can get a new job elsewhere that their first day on their new jobs will be from at their home?
---
From the "Marxism is alive and well within our Teachers' union" department - Online headline: "NEA teachers union spending $140K for 'enemies list' opposition research of groups turning up heat on schools * An NEA member told Fox News Digital that the teachers' union has 'no ability to tolerate somebody who doesn't agree with them'" -- Hmmm.. Making an "enemies list"? This sounds like a dictionary example of Pogo's analysis: " We have met the enemy, and he is us."
---
Online headline: "New York Times says Biden's age is an 'uncomfortable issue' for White House, Democrats in stunning report" -- "uncomfortable issue"? Yes... but a great diversion from discussing the oil crisis, the gasoline crisis, the border crisis, the Hunter Biden crisis, the Afghanistan crisis, the crime crisis, the education crisis, the Ukraine crisis, the Russian crisis, the China crisis, the Iran crisis, the Saudi crisis, the midterm election crisis, the 2024 crisis, and .. for that matter.. the sheer number of crises crisis..

From the "now this is a great diner table discussion topic" department - Online headline/story: "Pregnant mother in Texas sparks legal debate in claiming unborn child should allow HOV travel in post-Roe era * Brandy Bottone was 34 weeks pregnant at the time she was pulled over on June 29 * A pregnant mother from Plano, Texas is looking to contest a traffic citation she received for driving in a high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane, as she claims her unborn child should count as a second passenger. * She claimed, however, that her unborn child is a legal person," -- I agree with Brandy! Though I do think pregnant women should carry a dated "sonogram" picture of the child if a law enforcement officer pulls her over again.. Of course, her situation has nothing to do with the US Supreme Court's correction of a 1973 overreach of the 1973 US Supreme Court Justices.. it was than as now.. an issue for each state under the 10th Amendment..
Online headline: "Musk abandons deal to buy Twitter; company says it will sue" -- While he can't be a US President/VP, Musk could serve in an advisory capacity, or even as a US Senator. Look what he's accomplished in the last few months.. he's revealed the "Twitter" company to be a self-serving, up-for-grabs, politically biased, for-sale-to-the-highest-bidder member of the Fake News Corps. Maybe Independent voters should create a "GoFundMe" account to buy back the Twitter shares that Musk bought to set up this situation.
---
From the "talk about "overreach" department - Online headline: 'Trump offers scathing rebuke of Elon Musk during Alaska rally with Sarah Palin: 'He’s another bull---t artist' * Donald Trump suggested the Tesla CEO lied to him in the past " -- In true Trumpian humor, this is exactly what Trump said, ""Elon. Elon. Elon. He's not going to buy Twitter," Trump said after encouraging those in attendance to use a competing social media platform, Truth Social. "And where did you hear that before? From me," he added.
"He’s got himself a mess, I've looked at his contract," Trump continued. "Ya know, Elon says he's never voted Republican, but I didn’t know that because he told me that he voted for me so he’s another bull—t artist." There's nothing "scathing" about this...just a liberal overreach on stating the facts...

Remember the famous Poltergeist III opening line, "They're b-a-a-c-c-c-k-k-k-k-!"? Variations of hat have been used to describe teen entertainers, Time Magazine articles, and even a Disney cartoon character... Well, we can use it here in Columbus now... The proposed transference of 5 non-Columbus originated period homes being moved into "The Historic District" on the property now designated as "Heritage Park". I love history, but.. history need to be authentic before it is added to a true local "Historic District". One of the "motivators" is the "prohibitive" $250K estimated cost of repairing the dysfunctional "water pump" display that was the centerpiece of Heritage Park.. That's almost funny because Council saw no issue with spending $244,000.00 on the "elite" Queen TT Water Lounge on the RiverWalk.... "elite" I say, because it's not really open to the general public...
---
Online headline: "VP Harris calls for 'assault weapons ban' on guns 'intentionally designed to kill' people" -- Hmmm .. as opposed to what? Does Chuckles Harris feel that homeowners should only have single shot bolt-action rifles so their families have no protection when two or more home invaders bust down their home's doors? What's even more"incredibly less that smart" (don't want to offend any one by using a single word that describes her more succinctly) is what would Harris design a gun to be able to do...Hey! Why not back Chuckles Harris' concept of making a gun that doesn't kill people and offer a trade to street thugs to swap in their illegal possessed/stolen guns for one of hers!

From the "where do the Democrats find these "brilliant...NOT!" government flunkies!" - department - Online headline: "Labor secretary defends Biden's inflation plan spending more money to lower costs * Secretary Marty Walsh argues more government spending to lower child care and drug costs will help American families" -- Secretary Walsh went to school and got indoctrinated, not educated! The US government HAS NO MONEY to spend except what is taken from those working and actually paying taxes!

Online story: "the Sanderson sisters are back in "Hocus Pocus 2" after nearly 30 years" -- Hmm.. so there will be a "Hocus Pocus 2" in the future.. so Bette Midler will return in her same role as the main "witch"... unfortunately, inflation has hit the movie industry , too, and "W" is now worth only a "B"... well, at least her role title will now more accurately describe her...
---
So Michael Moore has penned a 28th Amendment proposal to replace the 2nd Amendment.. Moore wants to give Congress absolute power to regulate ownership of guns and ammunition... Hmmm... no .. what could possibly backfire in this arrangement... hmmm... HOW ABOUT EVERYTHING! Can Moore... Congress even, point out one Congressional.. (or for that matter.. any other COUNTRY's) regulation that has proven 100% effective in making individual citizens better off? If Moore would just look at all previous Congressional attempts to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, Moore would know his concept of gun control cannot work either..

Online headline: "Georgia's Abrams raises $22M in 2 months, far outpacing Kemp" -- Hmmm.. how guess how much of that is from people eligible to vote in GA?
---
WRBL-TV3 online headline: "Sunday conversation with Neil Richardson of SafeHouse Ministries" -- Wish all of our local charitable organizations were run as efficiently and compassionately as Neil Richardson's... carrying it a bit further, I wish any of our City programs were as efficient as well.
---
Online headline: "Are Warnock’s Omissions More Egregious That Herschel’s? You Decide" -- Hmmm seeing as Warnock's "omissions" were when he was an active preacher. I'd have to say "YES!"... I'm not trying to even imply that preachers are anything but human as well... but they do accept holding themselves to a higher calling.. We all break most, if not all, of the 10 Commandments, but it's even more egregious for a preacher to break the 1st, 3rd, 7th, and 9th ones..

From the "could it be (to paraphrase Shakespeare) that he protests too much?" department - WTVM-TV9 story: "COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Chattahoochee River is a drinking water source. Now, an ongoing dispute over the river and its permits continue to play a significant part in whether or not Columbus Water Works’ customers will spend millions of dollars on upgrades to the system. * “The permit was set to renew recently, and in that renewal process, the environmental protection division put in a limit on fecal chloroform bacteria,” said Senior Vice President Vic Burchfield. * That means another opportunity to check and see if your water is clean of sewage that might leak into the river. According to the Vice President of Columbus Water Works and its website, your water is safe. * “The river is clean. We have 25 years of data to prove that.” * That data found on the department’s website stated zero levels of coliform bacteria or fecal matter detected." -- You know... there is "something" in our drinking water that show's up on our "Zerowater" water quality meter, but I do wonder why Congressman Bishop hasn't stepped forward to to quash the EPD's demand rather than the Columbus Water Works spending gargantuan sums of money on lawyers for the past 6+ years...

Body counts are rising faster than the temperature at midday here in Columbus, GA... We have another shooting homicide discovered Saturday night.. suddenly it's not a question of "when will it end?".. now it's become of a more of question of "will it EVER end?".
---
WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "Has crime decreased in the Chattahoochee Valley? * CEO of the Boys and Girls Club Rodney Close said, “It took a village to raise kids, including myself, whether it was football coaches, whether it was the church what was the pastor the neighbor that was watching out and really telling on you when you were doing wrong.”" -- Yes, it takes a village, but it primarily takes parents and family to set the home and village boundaries.

From the "sounds like a pot calling a kettle black" department - Online story: "“We cannot allow an out of control Supreme Court working in conjunction with extremist elements of the Republican party to take away freedoms and our personal autonomy,” said President Biden." -- Who's out of control? I think Pee Wee Herman would say to Resident Biden, "I know you are but what am I?" Actually, the US Supreme Court is not the one branch of the three that our Founding Fathers created to keep ou=r government balanced.. In fact, SCOTUS is the only one doing it's job.. and that's to rule on whether actions taken by the Legislative and Executive Branches.. even it's past self. are in compliance with the original Constitution and the supplemental Amendments..

I think it's comical.. if not criminal... that the USNWT (soccer) players are getting paid the same as the USNMT (soccer) players.. In 2017, a Dallas U-15 boys soccer team beat the USNWT team 5-to-2 in a game set-up to prepare the USNWT foe an International match against Russia et al..

Online headline: "New York Times says Biden's age is an 'uncomfortable issue' for White House, Democrats in stunning report" -- Hmmm.. so "Biden's age is an 'uncomfortable issue' for the NYT"? Well, actually it's a convenient BLESSING as it takes the focus off Biden's "other issues"... such as .. the illegal entries at the border; drugs; sex-trafficking at the border; violent crime in our inner BLUE cities; Hunter Biden; Ukraine; Russia; China; Taiwan; mass shootings; inflation, unemployment; baby formula shortages, Covid policies; education; PeLOUSY; AOC; and many other...
