Watching the PBS 4th of July show from Washington was more revealing than the Liberals could ever imagine... they are running scared going into the midterms... just look at the number who attended.. mostly garbed in Red, White, and Blue... smiling... waving US Flags..(even heard a U-S-A, U-S-A chant)... and I didn't see one flag from another country or protest group, and I didn't see one US Flag set on fire.

I'm tired of Columbus, GA restaurants presenting my bill suggesting that I should consider the 9% in sales taxes charged on my meal as part of the amount I should consider when figuring my "tip" for services rendered. It doesn't actually influence my tip, but I hate that it deflates the appearance of the percentage I leave. I tell you though, when I take a large enough group to dinner, and a restaurant presents me with a bill that has already included a tip in nit, and I see that the sales taxes were figured into the amount, the restaurant manager/owner will regret it when I make it a loud vocal point of what he/she has done.

We traipsed to Atlanta for the Peachtree Road Race again this year.. (by we I mean my wife who ran and me with my camera). While it is important that she and other members of our family participated, the best thing we noted was a difference in "hospitality" from past events.. race volunteers, water station volunteers. and most notably, MARTA employees were exuberantly friendly!
