The Republicans are strangling themselves on the border issue.. they constantly refer to the crossers as "migrants" while they are actually ILLEGAL aliens. The Democrats, on the other hand, don't really describe them either way.. Dems are ignoring the situation, and if "cornered" about them, they refer to them as "asylum seekers" and deny the border is open... Dem Hank Johnson of GA went so far as to aver they are patiently waiting in Mexico for an asylum court date.. Now, what legitimate migrants see and hear is that their pride of doing the right thing the right way is cheapened in Republicans' eyes.... legitimate migrants have to feel Republicans aren't respecting them for their efforts.

What a travesty!… We’ve already lost more money than former Mayor TT Tom-LYING-son spent of “exploring” a high speed rail to Atlanta ..AND actually spending on a $244,000.00 TT Lounge on the RiverWalk that’s not open to the public very often…(I’ve never seen it actually open and available)

When is the last time that a report has been given on: Company announcements of JOBS, CAPITAL INVESTMENT? There used to be a "scoreboard" kept to compare several years with an average of 5 years for each COMPANY ANNOUNCED information on jobs and capital investment. . Hey, Columbus, GA Council… care to comment? C’mon now, it’ll only cost you 2-cents.. not $1,250,000.00 like keeping mum has.

United Way "can" be a blessed asset for our community, but not if it diverts it's time, energy, and funds to extra school activities or endeavors the Chamber of Commerce should responsible for !

It's interesting that Columbus GA area United Way officials are trying to collect $9+ Million dollars this year.
