Coaches, with funding by boosters (which use to be illegal and a NCAA punishable CRIME as well), can now just fill or improve positions from the portals... Marginal high school players won't get scholarships nor the opportunity to try to play top college football... The only way to stop this will be for universities to have academic standards that demand players must excel in the classroom at all times of the season in order to be eligible to play.
