Whoa! I just read that 90% of the shrimp consumed in the US is imported.. and in Gulf of America states of FL, AL, MS, LA, and TX coastal restaurants that promote “local Gulf shrimp” have been serving  shrimp of which 59%-to-96% has been imported! My number one vacation goal use to be eat as many shrimp as I could in Florida.. but NO MORE (unless there’s a certified statement on menus stating all their shrimp is verifiably local!).
