I know one area that "DOGE" could start on to save us money.... TONS of money...Tax money ... annually..  forever! The use of "sign language" personage when politicians are speaking on TV! There's ZERO NEED  for them...I haven't had a TV in probably 30 years that hasn't had "closed caption" capabilities, and I watch them so if I do not understand what's spoken, the "caption words" come with a several seconds later time frame.

You know…until yesterday, I had not heard of the app, "Turo", which is a vehicle rental app... Yesterday we heard that an act of terrorism in New Orleans, and another in Las Vegas both involved vehicles obtained through "Turo". Not being one that considers "coincidences" actually being "coincidences", my first thoughts tend to make me believe there was collusion between either the two dead terrorists or part of a master plan by a terrorist "cell".

One of my memories was after Cuzzin Jimmy Carter was elected President... our family store, Kirven's Department Stores,  was a "shopping trip" for the women in smaller sur-rounding cities  in GA & Al .. Many cities' local merchants closed early on Wednesdays or Thursdays and many of the women traveled to our Downtown store for lunch (our chicken salad crackers was a favorite) and more shopping afterwards. Miss Lillian came periodically through the years, but after Jimmy became President, her presence could cause some disruption because of media types wanting to follow her around and get her  unfiltered opinions, and those could get "loud". We soon devised a plan that she came and shopped after we closed the doors at 6:00 PM, and she could shop privately with Secret Service agents and favorite Kirven's employees helping her.
