Online headline: "Vile jokes from Al Franken's past surface amid claims" -- Good grief.. Franken was a joke before the claim surfaced..I remember commenting years ago that his value as a Saturday Night Live cast member was that when he was on, it h=gave the audience a chance to catch it's breath from laughing at the funny stuff.
---
My cat.. Sox.. is a true Southerner.. he likes grits and mashed potatoes... hold it now..I do have his best interests at heart, but at 16.. and taking 2 insulin shots daily, he deserves what ever he likes to eat.. Oh.. and he like "Goldfish" cheese snacks better than any of the commercial "treats" available.
---
Just read a list of the Top 25 Cities for Murder ... Oakland, CA was 25th with 20 per 100,000 people.. Hmmm.. guess that means Columbus is with in 4... ooops.. instant update.. now we're down to 3 as of yesterday... of becoming tied with Oakland this year.. Hmm.. how does Mayor Tom-LYING-son and her Chamber of Commerce/CVB minions "spin this" to prospective businesses?
---
Online headline/story: "Baby boy is first marijuana overdose death, doctors claim * Drs. Thomas Nappe and Christopher Hoyte wrote in their study that the first person to die from a marijuana overdose was an 11-month-old boy. * A team of doctors, which included Hoyte and Nappe, examined the boy for medical conditions but found he was otherwise healthy, KUSA reports. * The child soon became unresponsive in the hospital and was given a breathing tube as his condition worsened. * The doctors said the boy's heart stopped and, despite efforts to resuscitate, the child died. * Following the death, doctors found the child's blood and urine contained tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, they wrote in the journal." -- Hmmm the first to die from marijuana overdose (interesting..so it can happen) was an 11 month old baby.. well, the parents should be the 2nd and 3rd.
---
When's it going to happen....when will mainscream media accuse President Trump of robbing the cradle..Melania is 47..some 24 years younger than her husband. That would mean Melania was but 16 when Trump was 40..
---
I like Neil Patrick Harris...I remember him as Doogie Houser... I also remember him when he "came out" loudly...I still liked him... but seeing him play a romantic heterosexual role is bit much for me.
---
What the hell.. Sen Menendez just thanked the jury ..all 12 of them, for not convicting him..What! No such thing happened..12 jurors didn't agree to convict him, but the 12 jurors definitely did not find him innocent of any of 18 corruption charges.
---
Justice...there was no justice dispensed when Senator Menendez's 18 charges of corruption could not get a single jury verdict, and the judge called a mistrial..No verdict, but Menendez is not innocent. A couple of weeks ago, I stated that police and DAs are not our crime problem.. activist judges and politically cherry-picked juries are.
---
The NFL's Robert Goodell is a piece of...shhh.. uh ..work. And he's certainly no Pete Rozelle. Never will be..either.
---
Yesterday, I tried to post my article on the lack of interest of buyers for the Martha's Vinyard estate used by the Obamas 7 different times before FB would allow. Between each attempt, I was able to post another item, but thwarted when trying the Martha's Vinyard piece until the7th time. Don't tell me FB is not censuring posts.
---
Democrat PACs are running an anti-tax cut ad about the National Debt being $20 TRILLION and suggesting a tax cut will add to it and that our grand babies are going to have to pay for it. Hmmm..of course, what they don't say is that the National Debt would be a National Surplus if Democrats hadn't spent $22 TRILLION on LBJ's and subsequent Democrats "War on Poverty".
---
Mainscream media pollsters are claiming 51% of Americans believe Trump will get a tax cut before they do.. I wonder if any of the pollsters mentioned that Trump is donating ALL of his salary as president to various charities.
---
For the first time in a while, I bought Mayo in a jar rather than a squeeze bottle.. Guess what, Mayo jars are now 30 ozs rather than a quart.
---
Minnesota's Slogan is "Land of 10,000 Lakes". Hmmm... Columbus's could be "City of 10,000 Potholes . Hey, Council, CofC, CVB, you can use that for free..and it'll probably be true 5 years from now if no one energetic runs for our next mayor
---
Online headline: "McDonald's reveals plans to sell only humanely raised and slaughtered chickens by 2024" -- Whatta dilemma.. I guess McDonald's will serve up inhumanely raised and slaughtered chickens until then.. I do have a question.. how do you humanely decapitate chickens?
---
Hellary is out on a liberal talk show tour trying to "debunk" all the Russian Uranium deal claims she brokered.. I caught a portion of one of the interviews, and all I heard was Hellary spreading "de-bull".
---
I have a hard time that soon-to-be-ex-District 133-Representative Pezold is backing someone else for GA Secretary of State other than Columbus' own Josh McKoon... then I realized he was backing a guy named "Buzz", and the association clicked.. "To Insanity and Beyond".
---
L-E headline/story: "ECONOMY * Georgia jobless rate slips lower in October * In fact, Georgia has added 87,800 jobs over the past year, amounting to a 2 percent growth rate. That’s better than the U.S. growth rate of 1.4 percent. " -- Hmmm.. you can just feel the Trump excitement in the economy!

---
I do declare.. unless the L-E is supplying me with a copy of it's paper with a page missing, today is the first time in well over a year that a "Together 2016/2017" ad (and L-E business tax deduction) has not run.

From the "boycott is working" department - Online headline/story: "Anheuser-Busch InBev replaces North America chief to stem sales slide 8 AB InBev has sold less beer in North America in each year since 2014, with a steep 6.2 percent drop in the third quarter of this year." - Dilly Dilly!!!!!

---
Hmmm..looks like the NFL beer (Budweiser) and pizza (Papa Johns) sponsors are suffering, but let's check out some others.. Bridgestone Tires.. not on my cars, Marriott Hotels.. we've gone to Hilton and Holiday Inn since, Fritos-Pepsi-Gatorade.. have always preferred Coca Cola, Fed-Ex.. the PO and UPS work for me.. etc etc

---
From the "As Reagan would oft say, "Well, there goes mainscream media again.. polling itself" department - Online headline: "Poll: Biden would beat Trump in 2020, but so would any 'generic Democrat'" -- You, just yesterday, another mainscream media poll showed 60% of Americans agreed with Trump about the NFLers wrongful protests. Those 60% represent mainstream values.. none of which ant Democrat brings to the conversation.

---
Well, the the UCLA shoplifters are back.."thanks" to President Trump.. Their coach, Steve Alford, said, ""These are good young men who have exercised an inexcusable lapse of judgment. "I am extremely disappointed in their actions." -- Really, Coach? Could it be that hey just wrongly expected the same bail out in China as they would have gotten 3 blocks from the UCLA campus if it happened here.

---
From the "chickens have come home to roost" department - Online story: " * As a national spotlight is being shined on sexual assault and harassment following a flood of accusations of misconduct against dozens of prominent men in Hollywood, the media, and politics, Democrats and others on the left are beginning to reexamine their response to Clinton's alleged misdeeds.Four women have accused former President Bill Clinton of sexual assault or harassment over the last few decades. One woman accused Clinton of raping her. * Amid ongoing national attention on issues of sexual assault and workplace harassment, Democrats and others on the left are beginning to reexamine their response to the allegations against Clinton." -- Maybe now mainscream media will examine Bill Clinton's partying with Jeffrey Epstein on Pleasure Island..

---
Online "headLIE": "Charles Manson in grave condition at California hospital" -- WRONG! Manson won't be in GRAVE condition until his body is thrown into a coffin and the lid nailed shut.

---
Online headline/story: "No one wants to buy the Obama's former vacation rental on Martha's Vinyard * A Martha's Vinyard estate is now for sale for $17.75 million * The house listed in July of 2015 for $22.50 million * This isn't just an ordinary picturesque Martha's Vinyard estate - it has a presidential pedigree.: -- Hmmmm.. "presidential pedigree"? Yeah, it probably smells like BO... you know, the pedigreed presidential pet .My high school English teachers would be proud of my alliteration.. that's a lot of "p".

---
From the "we gotta find out who's responsible and fire them" department - WTVM 9  headline/story: "Columbus man with six previous DUI convictions pleads not guilty to vehicular homicide * Dating back to 1986, Voss has had six DUI convictions from Harris County, Muscogee County, and also in the state of Alabama. * The latest conviction in January 2017, it is reported that Voss did have a valid drivers license at the time of the crash." -- Good grief! Everyone who was involved in Voss getting a valid driver's license following his 2nd conviction... whether the court clerk, the DMV data manager, or any lawyer who made an appeal should be fired and prohibited from ever holding a government job! Better yet, have them fired on... by a firing squad!

---
Yesterday, President Trump gave a press announcement outlining his 12 day trip to the Pacific rim. He addressed every business aspect...and when he finished, one reporter shouted out a question...should Moore resign? Mainscream media journalists don't even recognize the real stories that are handed to them.

---
L-E headline/story: "Bibb Elementary named to ‘Places in Peril’ list * The school built in 1915 for families living in the mill village Bibb Manufacturing once owned closed in 2001, after the mill shut down, and it since has been falling apart. * “Owned by the Muscogee County Board of Education, Bibb City Elementary is currently vacant and boarded. Part of the roof has collapsed, leaving a significant portion of the interior exposed. * (Mike Edmondson) dreamed of making it a center for science, technology, engineering, art and math, commonly represented by the acronym STEAM, with laser cutters and an electrical shop in the basement, and a pottery and glassblowing studio, a hydroponic garden, robotics, photography and coding instruction, and a weather and astronomy platform up top. * That would have cost around $8 million. Edmondson raised around $5,000 he used to pay for inspections and estimates and start a nonprofit Bibb Center Inc., hoping to draw more donations and grants. * According to Edmond-son’s latest estimates, it would take about $180,000 to clear the rubble and safely remove all the hazardous materials, and around $400,000 to install steel girders to stabilize the structure and support a temporary roof. * Superintendent David Lewis said the district still hopes the building can be sold or repurposed. Edmondson’s idea prompted considerable discussion of the school’s historic value, particularly its place in the Bibb City community. But much of that talk has died down, he said: Maybe the “Places in Peril” designation will revive it. * The school board could donate the property to the Historic Columbus Foundation, but that could give taxpayers the impression the district’s deficient in guarding their money, he said. * He acknowledged that if the school falls in, the district will have to pay for the remaining demolition and cleanup, leaving an empty lot for sale. The district has not sought a demolition estimate, he said." -- Where to start! Here's a building that has survived for over 100 years without the MCSD properly maintaining it, and for less than the MCSD wants to spend on metal buildings on slabs ($750,000.00 each and there are 6 scheduled) for wrestling/weight rooms, the building could be stabilized for someone else to use it for less than just one of the new buildings.. To boot, it looks like the MCSD has not secured the entrances to keep people from going in. injuring themselves, them suing us for negligence!

From the "talk about fake news" department - Online "headlie": "These rodent-like creatures are the earliest known ancestor of humans, whales and shrews" -- Believe.. or not believe.. what you will, but if you believe you evolve from apes or rodents, you're no kin to me.

---
What is it with Hollywood.. it seems that everyone who wanted to be someone claims he/she was sexually abused by someone who is/was someone.

---
Online story: "With a new book out about his son and rumors swirling about his plans for 2020 as he refuses to shut the door, former Vice President Joe Biden criticized President Donald Trump during an appearance on the "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Monday night. * "I think it will, God willing, go down as the single exception in American history," Biden said of the sitting president's current term in office." -- "God willing"? Looks like Ex-Bleep-Veep Biden just estranged himself from most of the Democratic Party base.. then again, he has a good position to look up at Trump... sunken in the mud from his two terms with Obama..And if there was any "meddling", it wasn't the Russians, it was that God respecting voters went to polls with faith.

---
From the "you see what's happened " department - "Papa John’s apologizes for saying anthem protests hurt sales" -- Here we go.. the libs do not want 1st Amendment Rights for all, just for themselves.. it's the "Animal Farm" syndrome.. "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

---
From the "efforts in futility personified" department - Online headline: "Cards Against Humanity buys piece of the US border so Trump can't build his wall" -- Good grief.. All that needs to be acquired can be done by "Eminent Domain". but I think that if I were Trump, I'd order "the Wall" to be built around that property so it's on the Mexican side of the "the Wall".

---
From the "talk about meddling in an election" department - Online headline: "Can Roy Moore be expelled if he wins Alabama's Senate seat?" -- Good grief, mainscream media and Democrats cannot think of anything to promote Doug Jones on his own merits, so they peck away at the Republican..My question is why doesn't mainscream media.. and the Democrats.. and RINOs.. stand up and proclaim Senator Bob Menendez a pariah!

---
I tell you what.. it appears that the established Republican hierarchy in the Senate has decided the best way to keep Trump at bay is to keep Roy Moore from winning so the extreme Leftist RINOs and Democrats can thwart Trump attempts to get his Make America Great Again bills passed. I try not to get involved with other states' choices, but I am going to support RINOs' opponents in every GOP primary in 2018.

---
I'm not a great believer in mainscream media "POLLS", but when HuffPOOPOO reports one that 60% of Americans disapprove of the NFL players protest, then HuffPOOPOO has it's own stats it has to digest at how.. and why.. Hellary LOST and Trump and America WON!

---
I really would like to know more about that attack on Rand Paul... I played hs. some college, and post college semi-pro basketball against some string aggressive players, and of the many well placed elbows I received, I had only one cracked rib.. How does one break 6 ribs on another?

---
You know..the reason Democrats are against a sweeping tax cut is that they don't want to run for re-election against Republicans who will remind voters they have more money in their pockets.

---
Listening to the House Judiciary Committee Democrats' questions to AG Jeff Sessions just reconfirms my opinion that Democrats should be banned from participating in America's future.

---
L-E headline/story: "Bond set for man charged in chase that killed coach * The attorney asked Smith to set Cross’ bonds so they totaled $50,000 to $100,000. He argued Cross is not likely to flee Columbus if released from jail." "not likely to flee"? Yeah, right.. like he didn't "flee" from the police when he killed Coach Pollard?

---
From the "suspicions confirmed.. The city has a bigger problem than we thought" department - L-E headline/story: "L-E headline/story: "Bibb County employee voted in as Recorder’s Court chief clerk * The vote was taken after councilors went into executive session to discuss personnel and litigation matters. When they returned, they voted to hire Donna Willingham, Chief Deputy Clerk at Bibb County Probate Court, to fill the position. She will be paid a salary of $45,195.91, according to the resolution." -- You know, when top level administrative jobs have to be filled by outsiders is bad, but when the Mayor/Council does not have mid-level personnel in development to be promoted, we have a bigger problem than we ever possibly conceive.

---
L-E headline: "Senate Republicans to add repeal of ACA mandate into tax bill" - Good grief.. John Roberts and the other known 4-socialist SC Judges should be impeached for approving this "fine" when it was fought earlier in the Supreme Court..deciding it was a tax was just WRONG..it's been wielded as a sledgehammer.

---
L-E headline: "Toyota-Mazda plant could land in NC or Alabama" -- Hey, CofC leaders.. Anderson and Sillito.. are you content.. "emotionless" about losing another opportunity to land a major business? Isn't Georgia..between Alabama and North Carolina?

---
From the "this is what's wrong with mainscream media and establishment politicians" department - L-E headline: "Trump shatters norms by urging Clinton inquiry" -- Why does it take Trump to get mainscream media and the Washington Swamp to do the right thing?

---
L-E headline/story: "Columbus Council to establish panel on revitalization * Columbus Council plans to create a new Liberty District committee to guide the city’s effort to revitalize the area." -- Hmmm .. first.. then how about Council selling those Liberty Apartments BACK to the people who sold them for the cost paid and the losses the City has endured over the years..

---
L-E headline: "Did anybody ask her how she will vote on the $12,000.00 salary increase the Legislators want to give themselves?" --- Hmmm.. Did anybody ask her how she will vote on the $12,000.00 salary increase the Legislators want to give themselves?

From the "mainscream media is obsessively sick " department - Online story: "Wikileaks asked Donald Trump Jr. to get his father, then-President-elect Donald Trump, to suggest that Australia nominate Julian Assange as its US ambassador, The Atlantic reported Monday as a part of an expose on the Twitter direct messages sent between Wikileaks and Trump Jr. * Wikileaks asked Donald Trump Jr. to get his father, then-President-elect Donald Trump, to suggest that Australia nominate Julian Assange as its US ambassador, The Atlantic reported Monday as a part of an expose on the Twitter direct messages sent between Wikileaks and Trump Jr. * Trump Jr. did not answer the messages, according to the report." -- Good grief..now mainscream media is accusing Trump. Jr of being the recipient of an unsolicited "tweet" which he did not answer... and it's Trump. Jr's "fault". Hey, mainscream media, how about focusing on Comey/Hellary or Lynch/Bill_Clinton DOCUMENTS that the FBI has tried so hard to sweep under its carpet!

---
From the "you knew this was coming" department - Online story: "Ja Du recently sat down with WTSP to discuss his racial identity, telling the outlet that although he was born a white man named Adam, he feels Filipino. He now identifies as transracial." -- Is there ever going to be an end to liberal fantasy?

---

Went to see "Genesis PART 1" last night. Learned a couple of things and disagree with a couple of other things, but the one thing said that struck me as being the one aspect that connects all with God is that we are all "brown".. not black, red, yellow, or white.. we are just all different shades of brown.

---
I just saw a "Doug Jones, Alabama Democrat for Senate" commercial.. Yeah, that "Doug Jones".. the one sending out his and other Democrats' volunteers to make political accusations against Roy Moore.. well, the most obvious this about Jones' ad was that he speaks his divisive message with the the left side of his face/mouth at the camera. I guess he's hoping we won't be able to see what's coming out of the right side of his mouth.

---
Online "headline/fairy tale": "Starbucks' chairman slams GOP tax plan * Starbucks' chairman and long-time CEO just gave yet another interview where it sounds like he's preparing for a career in politics. * "So many people in America are living paycheck to paycheck. Corporate America does not need a corporate tax cut from 35 to 20%," Schultz told Andrew Ross Sorkin at the New York Time's DealBook conference. "If you're going to do that, it has to be more balanced, it has to be more common sense." -- so many people ... are living paycheck to paycheck"? Hmmm... you know if Schultz understood business at all, he would grasp that low taxes would allow him to give his employees BIGGER PAYCHECKS if he was actually concerned about them living "paycheck to paycheck".

---
From the "if you haven't seen this SNL video of the DNC message, do it now" department - You'll thank me later

---
From the "how to become instantly irrelevant" department - Gentleman's Quarterly named Colin KaeperPRICK as its "Citizen of the Year"... in its "too close " to Veterans Day issue. I'm guessing GQ might be deciding on firing its Marketing Research director.

Colin KaeperPRICK..citizen of the year? Good grief..what did JJ Watts do to not win.

---
GE shareholders...especially pension boards.. should put their feet down hard on current/holdover GE executives being paid in stock going forward. They were present during the decline of the shares, and should not benefit from getting new shares at the low cost basis so they benefit on the rebound. Personally, I'm more inclined to bring in some new decision makers.

---
Considering the intention of serving as a Representative should be be entered into as a service to your community, and not as a career, how do our local Reps stand on the proposed

To John Pezold...our soon-to-be-but-not-soon-enough-for-Columbus District 133 GA State Rep...are you supporting the proposed pay increase for 2019?

How about Debbie Buckner, Ed Harbison, Calvin Smyre, Carolyn Hugley, and Richard Smith?

Also, Vance Smith and Randy Robertson, if elected, will you accept the raise if it passes.

Josh McKoon..what will your vote on this issue be?

---
I'm putting Woody's Roadside Tavern in Farmingdale, New Jersey on my list of places to make sure I get to before I die. Woody shut off the NFL on his TVs to honor vets this weekend...and his business BOOMED!

---
Looking at how trees along Bradley Park Drive and Green Island Drive have been raped, I can only assume that the GA DOT is about to start on the Roundabout that was supposed to start construction in 2014.. Wonder if the GA DOT is going to use Plan C after Plans A & B "flaws" were exposed. I also think that Council and Mayor Tom-LYING-son should come out an state what the projected costs is now.. since it is now 20 months later since the last time they mentioned figures. Refresher.. The first plan, presented in 2014, called for $1.2 MILLION coming from T-SPLOST funds.. the second plan present in Feb of 2016 called for $2.7 MILLION ($1.5 MILLION from T-SPLOST and $1.2 Million from City coffers).

---
NFL spinmeisters are trying to spin that only... ONLY 3 NFL players "took a knee" on Sunday (of course a lot did not leave the "tunnel until afterward.  Even 3 non-chastised players  doing so in Veterans Day weekend is not acceptable.. If the NFL Players Association really was sincere  in apologizing for the disrespect of out National Anthem, Flag, and our Veterans and law enforcement officers, each team would have had a  group designated to pummel any teammates who made such gestures of disrespect.

---
From the "obviously biased and incomplete list" department - Online story: "New data released by the FBI on Monday revealed an increase in hate crimes of about 5 percent over the last year in the United States. * The data from the Hate Crimes Division found that there were approximately 5,800 hate crimes reported in 2015 -- and the number jumped up to 6,121 in 2016. * Of the reported crimes, about 60 percent were motivated by of race, ethnicity, or ancestry. Another 21 percent were motivated by religious bias, and 18 percent by sexual orientation. " -- Hmmm.. and what would the figures be if Hellary supporters and other antifa attacks on Trump supporters were counted? Oh.. and why hasn't "antifa" been classified a hate group on? the SPLC list.

---
Random thought: Why is it that liberals get so upset about abusing a puppy or kitten, yet yawn discussing a partial-birth-abortion?

---
From the "not really having a clue" department - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: People raise over $55K for woman fired for giving Trump the finger 8 Supporters have raised nearly $60,000 for the woman who lost her job after giving Trump the middle finger last month. * The GoFundMe campaign, which is titled “Thank You Juli Briskman," raised more than $50,000 for the former government contractor in the first several days. * “Juli Briskman is an inspiration to us all. This week we learned that she was fired from her employer for exercising her first amendment rights,” the crowdfunding campaign reads. “You can show your support by donating here.” * So far, almost 2,500 people have donated to the campaign." -- heh heh heh.. Looks like the DNC has thrown Br'er Rabbit into the brier patch.. that's $50-to-$60 THOUSAND that will never pay for a Democrat-hate-ad in the next elections, because Juli Briskman will certainly not give away what's been given to her.

---
Since it was mentioned in the L-E article yesterday that the MCSB would be discussing construction of the beginning dates of the wrestling room at Columbus High at this coming Monday's board meeting, I asked the architect where such will be built on the grounds at CHS.. He said several locations were under consideration and would be discussed at the next meeting...I'm going to guess that the 40' X 60' ft buildings for weight/wrestling rooms at the various schools will have at least a 15' landscaping/walking area perimeter around them, so the foot print will actually be 70 X 90 (or 6,300 square feet). Due to the topography and already-in-use-land at Columbus High School, the only space I can think of that would handle such a physical need would be in the existing parking lot.. Say, didn't the MCSD just spend $935,000.00 on building a new 45-to-60 car parking area because their wasn't enough parking for student as it was, and now will lose 40 or more to a wresting/weight room...

---
L-E "fairy-tale": COMMENTARY * Is it time we replaced America’s national anthem? * BY CHRIS JOHNSON * Correspondent * So, fine. Let’s change it. How about Ray Charles’ version of “America the Beautiful?” -- I love Ray Charles' singing.. and even his acting role in "The Blues Brothers"... but I'm just curious, but how can you designate a version of America the Beautiful be given preference to any one... especially since the Ray Charles was not born until AFTER "America the Beautiful" was already a song and was considered at the same time as The Star Spangled Banner" and "America" as the potential National Anthem. Personally, my favorite singing of the song was by Kate Smith on the Ed Sullivan Show 50 plus years ago.. but the National Anthem is not about the artist who sings it, it's about Americans who sing it.. even off key.

---
L-E story: Columbus legislator Calvin Smyre answered questions Monday from the Ledger-Enquirer about accusations Fox News contributor and national Democratic party activist made Friday via social media that he sexually assaulted her in 1996 in Chicago. * In a nine-Tweet string on Friday, Jehmu Greene, who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic National Committee chairperson earlier this year, accused Smyre, the dean of the Georgia General Assembly, of the crime during the national convention 21 years ago." -- I tell you what, if you've ever heard Jehmu Greene discuss the Democrat issues as a contributor on Fox News Channel, you would absolutely know... for sure... that she is not capable of speaking the truth.. besides, she could manhandle Calvin Smyre..

Monday, November 13, 2017

You really need to learn to love Trump! Kim Jong Oooops called Trump "old",and Trump tweeted back why would Ooooops call him "old", I'd never call Ooooops "short and fat"....(only Dems will have to have me explain this to them)

---
Online headline: "McCain blasts Trump: 'There's nothing 'America First'' about believing Putin" -- Good grief..and I'm kicking myself for believing America would have been better if McCain had beaten Obama..You know, if McCain had won, we might not have had another Republican president in my lifetime, and we'd be one year into Hellary's 2nd term in the White House.

---
From the "how toxic will the NFL allow the protest of our National Anthem to become.. how long will the NFL allow its teams to disrespect our law enforcement and military personnel, and our flag?" department - Online headline/story: "Decorated veteran turns down Broncos' invitation to honor him before Sunday's game * It feels like a big 'make or break' weekend for the struggling Denver Broncos. They play at home Sunday night against the New England Patriots. * But some veterans will not be going to the game ... in a protest over NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem. * One decorated Colorado veteran turned down an invitation from the Broncos to be honored during the team's salute to veterans at the game Sunday night." -- How contrite can the NFL be.. wanting to "kiss and make-up" on Veterans Day weekend..

---
From the "do they think this is April 1st rather than Veterans Day Weekend" department - Online headline: "NFL Players Association calls for Veterans Day moment of silence at Sunday games " -- Good grief... does the NFL Players' Association really feel a token gesture at this point will make a difference... or be believed by America.. America.. KEEP STRONG.. the boycott is WORKING!

---
I tell you what.. I'd love to see a veteran run out to midfield at every NFL stadium and light an NFL flag on fire!

---
Follow up - Online headline/story: "Report: Video surveillance shows UCLA players stealing from 3 stores * The source also noted that there is surveillance footage of the players shoplifting from three stores inside of a high-end shopping center next to the team’s hotel in Hangzhou, which houses Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Salvatore Ferragamo stores." -- You know.. this is really sad.. pathetically sad.. that young folks having their futures served up on a silver platter feeling they are entitled to the silver platter as well.

---
From the "good grief" department - Online story: "TUMWATER, Wash. (KCPQ) — A local school district is apologizing for what it says was a mistake after a Confederate flag was used during a Veterans Day ceremony. * The school says students held up 14 different flags from American history. One of the kids who held up the Confederate flag was a student of color. The school says that was a mistake and wasn't supposed to happen. * In a statement to us the district went on to say, "The presence of the flag itself in this program failed to honor our commitment to ensuring a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive school environment." -- "The presence of the flag itself in this program failed to honor our commitment to ensuring a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive school environment."? "culturally sensitive school environment"?Good grief.. creating a "culturally sensitive school environment" is exactly what's holding students back from the realities of Real Life 101..I've had ancestors participate defending the rights of pre-Revolutionary and post-Revolutionary Americans in every war/conflict America has experienced since the early part of the 16th Century, and I honored/remembered all of them on Veterans Day. Instead of apologizing for it, this is what schools should be teaching our students... but no, schools are trying to wipe out.. sanitize .. history. Destroying history is something only communist/socialist countries try to do.. it's sad that our country has drifted so far into a socialist state before we elected Trump!

---
You know, wonder if Kirby Smart even realized he had Eason on the sideline to replace Fromm...

---
I keep hearing from CVB and CofC that the $97,000.00 came from private sources in the way of donations...not from the general tax-payer supplemented operating revenues. If so, how about publicizing the donors...I'm not sure I want to do business with them if they make that much profit that they could donate $97,000.00 for what they got as a slogan.

Saw several penalty flags thrown Saturday for illegal blocks in the back....think about that...are there actually "legal" blocks on the back?

Online headline: "Chris Wallace: Trump 'May Have a Point' About Media Bias" -- "MAY"? At least it's a start since Wallace is a confirmed Democrat

Watched the placing of the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Saturday..what a pensive and reverent moment in time. You could feel..even see..the patriotic and respectful atmosphere that permeated the event.....thankfully, no libs or NFLers were there to "take a knee" during the National Anthem.

---
L-E "soundoff": "Some folks must be proud of their ignorance." -- Hmmm.. to paraphrase Elizabeth Barrett Browning... "let me count the ones... Democrat voters,, NFL National Anthem protesters, antifa, Sanctuary City proponents, death sentence protesters, gun control advocates, Bernie AND Hellary followers, oh.. and mainscream media!

---
L-E story: "A Georgia committee is recommending that state lawmakers receive $12,000 raises in 2019. * Georgia lawmakers have long complained about their base salary of $17,342, and they’ve often used it as a reason they quit to make more money" -- "they quit to make more money"? Good grief.. Public Service was designed to be a "service to the citizens" not a career.. I've never been a proponent of "absolute term limits", but this is making me rethink my position..Oh, and initiating a 5-year (or more) ban on "lobbying" positions following a legislator stepping down, retiring or being unseated would be in the state's best interest as well.

---
L-E headline: "MILITARY * Bergdahl ‘may have saved lives’ * BY CHUCK WILLIAMS chwilliams@ledger-enquirer.com" -- Hmmm... Why do I get the feeling Chuck is about to walk off his L-E "post" and openly join the Democratic Party?

---
L-E commentary headline/content: "Democrats (some of them) learn how to win elections * BY FROMA HARROP * Creators Syndicate * We hear that Democrat Ralph North-am’s decisive win in the race for Virginia governor was extra extraordinary in that he was a weak candidate. Voters, the story goes, seriously rejected Trumpian politics, an especially nasty brew that Republican Ed Gillespie had channeled in end-of-race desperation." -- Good grief! Hmmm-- Virginia.. Why are Democrats so fired up over one Democrat taking over the governor's seat from another Democrat in a state that voted for Obama and Hellary? And if there was anything mainscream media should be discussing that could be associated with "Trumping up" would be the "trumped up_ ads the Democrats used showing Gillespie in a truck running down black children.. Democrats are indeed the "D Party".. Despicable, Despotic, Demonic.

Wow.. the Top 3 teams in the FBS and other rankings fell from their pedestals Saturday! GA and Notre Dame took it on the chin, and Mississippi State deflated the seemingly invincible Crimson Tide for all but the final minute of the game..

---
Now, the SEC Championship Game has a renewed aspect.. Alabama is no longer the invincible team expected to square off against Auburn in the Iron Bowl next week, and it's possible we may get a repeat of the GA-Auburn game in Atlanta and GA may have a chance to redeem itself in a big way...

---
Why does Fox News think it portrays itself more "fair and balanced" to allow unfair and unbalanced Democratic Party spinmeisters on air to spew their agenda of vitriolic soundbytes? To me, "fair and balanced" is an intelligent exchange of views, not spieling a propagandist agenda.

---
I'm taking names... Names of the sitting Republican Senators who are shunning Roy Moore based on unfounded political accusations. I want Senators who have more interest in protecting the rights of individual citizens, rather than their own re-elections.

It was said yesterday that if the CBO does not collaborate the Trump budget fits into the budget cap formula, the budget will be reduced to the old figure. Then how come Congress can operate without a budget, the raise the National Debt with a spending resolution to keep the government from "shutting down"? Seems like the head of the CBO can overrule Congress and the President, and that doesn't seem Constitutional.

Online headline: "Gal Gadot won't make 'Wonder Woman' sequel unless Brett Ratner is out" -- Good grief. Hollywood can replace her with a clone or computer graphic without missing a heartbeat.

Online headline/story: "Bill Gates firm buys Arizona land for $80 million to create 'smart city' * Arizona-based Belmont Partners, one of Gates’ investment firms, purchased close to 25,000 acres of land in Tonopah, around 50 miles west of Phoenix, to create a “smart city” called Belmont * “Belmont will create a forward-thinking community with a communication and infrastructure spine that embraces cutting-edge technology, designed around high-speed digital networks, data centers, new manufacturing technologies and distribution models, autonomous vehicles and autonomous logistics hubs,” Belmont Partners said in a press release -- Hmmm.. sounds like Gates is creating a "GATED community of elitism.. hey, is this the 21st Century sequel to "Westworld"? Wonder when the City will "crash" or be "hacked"? Hmmm... doesn't sound "too smart".

---
Online story: "Transgender activist and former soldier Chelsea Manning targeted President Trump, saying the U.S. should stop sending its troops overseas for the sake of “nationalist fairy tales.” * "We can do better." -- Good grief.. Too bad "she-it" was this feisty while "she-it" was a man defending America.

There's a list of 13 reasons why Sears is in a death spiral... I can think of one more that may be bigger than any of the other 13... millennials are moving home and using their parents appliances.

L-E story: "The 3000 block of Smith Road gets plenty of truck traffic in Columbus, creating some concerns for residents. * You can almost see the ripples along sections of Smith and Fortson roads, but locations in other parts of Columbus are in worse condition, a city engineer said." -- "but locations in other parts of Columbus are in worse condition, a city engineer said"? You know, this is and admission that the City is well aware of the poor conditions of our streets yet spends our tax dollars on bike lanes, and green-striped crossing paths rather than fixing our streets. Alignment shops in Columbus must be doing incredible business.

---
From the "I'm not usually a reader of Chitwood, but this headline seems like he may have actually been listening to the pulse of Columbus rather than making something up" department - L-E Commentary Headline: "COMMENTARY * Can you come up with a better slogan than ‘We do amazing’?" -- Hmmm while he did miss guessing on the best source of the creation of this $97,000.00 (Hope Macon doesn't sue us for "near plagiarism" for the slogan the same company did for Macon) slogan.. my guess was that it was stoked out on a bar napkin after 2 downing martinis and ogling the bar mistress's attributes.

---
Ultra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The Second Amendment is the most abused amendment in the Constitution. That’s not what our forefathers intended." -- Good grief..without the citizenship owning guns, we'd still be under British rule, and still boarding British troops in our homes whenever they decided to drop in.

---
Some anonymous person just paid $396,000.00 at auction for a guitar used by Bob Dylan... you know, if I paid $396,000.00 for a used guitar, I'd want to remain anonymous, too.

---
L-E headline/story: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOLS  * School board to discuss four director positions * The board will be asked to authorize proceeding with wrestling room additions at three high schools, Columbus, Jordan and Kendrick." -- Hmmm 4 new chief in an already overloaded administration level... my question is: "Why just now do we want a director of budgets, purchasing, communications, and mental health/special education, when Lewis NEEDED them on day 1 of his taking command. Oh, and about that new "wresting building .. particularly at Columbus High School...didn't the MCSD just spend $935,000.00 creating new parking spaces because of a shortage of such, and now the only place to put up a new $750,000.00 wresting building will be in the existing parking lot which will eliminate some of the existing parking spaces...

L-E headline: "Schwarzenegger calls for new climate activism" -- Hmmm.. the world would be better off if he'd eliminated his old sexual activism when he was married.
