"HAD"... to renew my car tags by computer because the City shut down the Tag Office...and not only did I get charged a $1.00 Mailing Fee, but also got charged a $1.95 "Convenience" Fee for each car for which I got NO CONVENIENCE!. The Columbus L-E ran a story about the NAIA coming back to Columbus after a 7 year hiatus... presumably enticed by the $4.8 Million dollar renovation.. but the Sports Council should have omitted the "figures" they used. This is how my daughter's family in Atlanta cope with "shelter at home" conditions.. exercising with family connection time!

 

The reason has multiple possible aspects, but cellphone subscription numbers in China have had a severe drop in last quarter,, some 21,000,000 .. the two most feasible reasons are: 1 - canceled subscriptions due to economic chaos, and 2 - coronavirus deaths. I think more credence could be related to the 2nd reason, coronavirus deaths, as the Chinese government is probably unlikely TO ALLOW citizens to give up their phones voluntarily as the phones are how the Ch-Com government keeps track of it's citizens and what they are saying. More as info is discovered and released.

I'm still wondering what duties/salary are designated for the Mayor's Deputy Mayor.. in the current budget, I see mention of a salary reduction for the Mayor's Assistant basically offset by an increase for the Mayor's Administrative Secretary, but nothing about his Deputy Mayor..

One question we will never get the answer to: What part has a decline in the quality of public education done to promote the spread of Covid-19? -- I'm sure I can name a number of reasons, but 4 stand out: first, the way public education rewrites history.. and students are ill-informed over pandemic situation, but my second and third thoughts are probably the most likely... poorer reading skills and reliance on I-net searches, and the 4th,, relying more on feelings than thinking... God warns us of this... which is probably why public education wants God out of the classrooms.

While The Masters is not being played this traditional week, there have been a few replays of past Masters rounds aired over ESPN.. Watched the 1986 final round with interest as it was Jack Nicklaus' 6th and final win. One thing very obvious is how "the ball and equipment have altered "the game". Hole number 18's layout left a lot of drives with 165 yards left to the pin...from that distance, almost to the man, players pulled out their 6-irons to hit their second shots with. Today's players would pull out their 8-irons.
