From the "huh?" department - John Podesta called President Trump a "whack job" yesterday.  Let me get this straight.. President Trump won the election that Podesta was in charge of for Hellary who was pretty much a conceded  winner, and Podesta screwed it up.. Hmmm... now, who's really the "whack job"?

---
From the "it's in the eyes of the beholders" department - Online headline: "How Russian media reported Trump's meeting with Putin" -- Hmmm.. guess this reporter, Veronika Bondarenko of Business Insider, slept through the class on Russian media bias.. In a much vaunted story of the Cold War 60s, Russia staged a race between an American car and a Russian car.. The American car won easily.. Of course, the Russian media reported that the Russian car finished second, and the American car finished "next to last".....

---
Online headline:42% of Americans want Trump to forgive their student loan debt" -- Hmmm... guess that means that 58% want the 42% to be held accountable.. Wanna bet that the 42%  supported either Bernis or Hellary?

---
Online headline: "Turkey confiscates some 50 religious properties from Christian minority" -- Hmmm.. guess this pretty much justifies Hobby Lobby's CEO getting Christian relics out of the hands of Muslim run countries anyway he could.

---
From the "is that an ultimatum... PLEASE!" department - Online headline: "California to feds: Pay $18M fire debt or we'll watch it burn" -- Hmmm... promises, promises... Maybe California should adopt "Disco Inferno" as its mascot, and "Burn, Baby, Burn" as its state song..

---
Did you see the video of French President Macron weave through the congregation of world leaders in order to get to stand next to President Trump for the "group picture" at the G20 meeting? Wanna bet Macron would not have done so if Obama..or Hellary..had been there..

---
From the "mainscream media asks, how can we reort this negatively" department - Online story: "The U.S. economy added 222,000 jobs in June to surpass expectations, keeping the Federal Reserve on course as it steadily raises interest rates. *Job gains of 222,000 beat economists’ forecast for 179,000. * The labor force participation rate was 62.8%, up from 62.7% in May. Average hourly earnings grew 0.2% to $26.25 an hour." --  I guess mainsceam media will try to offset this with stories about how Poland's First Lady shook hands with Melania before President Trump...

---
222,000 new jobs...versus expectations of 179,000..will someone pass on to a last week's  LIV L-E "soundoffer" who complained about Trump's promise to deliver more and better jobs. Hey, buddy, get yourself better prepared for these jobs, then get off your duff and find one!

---
Don't you love all the protest signs in Germany condemning Trump...did you notice all of them are in English regardless of the primary language of the sign holders?

---
From the "trying to convince taxpayers that Council can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" department - L-E headline: "NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships to stay in Columbus" -- Good grief.. taxpayers will have to endure another year of losses at the Aquacenter just to boost the egos of our elected officials? Excuse me, but the importance of the NAIA is not like having an NCAA event here..

---
From this AJC story about Josh McKoon running for Secretary of State: "McKoon has gained enemies among fellow lawmakers and statehouse lobbyists for his outspokenness on many issues, including Capitol ethics, and for pushing for more openness in how the General Assembly operates." -- Good grief.. anybody who "gained enemies among his fellow lawmakers" because of his stand on ethics and more openness DESERVES our votes and support!

---

L-E story: "A South Carolina inmate used wire cutters that were apparently dropped from a drone as part of an elaborate escape plan that also included cellphones smuggled into prison, guns and at least $47,000 in cash, authorities said Friday after his capture." -- He had $47,000.00? Hope that's confiscated and used to pay taxpayers back for the (_*_)'s legal expenses so far, and also deny him any thought of taxpayer funded defense in the futuire.
