Online story: "UNITED NATIONS, July 5 (Reuters) - The United States cautioned on Wednesday it was ready to use force if need be to stop North Korea's nuclear missile program but said it preferred global diplomatic action against Pyongyang for defying world powers by test launching a ballistic missile that could hit Alaska." -- You know, China has more reasons to be conscious of Kim Jong Oooops than the US does.. Beijing and Shanghai are only a little over 500 miles away from Pyongyang, and for that matter, Moscow is in reach if Alaska is...

Online story: "Vatican police broke up a drug-fueled gay orgy at the residence of a secretary to one of Pope Francis' key advisers, according to an Italian newspaper. * The apartment sat close to the city and belonged to the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the congregation designated to tackling clerical sexual abuse * the flat was allegedly home to Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, an aid to the 80-year-old Pope. * The top priest was arrested, presumably on drugs charges, as gay sex is legal in Vatican City" --  I'm not sure about Vatican laws, but doesn't Catholic doctrine demand celibacy?

It's Bill Clinton's fault! It's his fault that N. Korea has ICBM technology...it's most likely that China provided the technology that Clinton wrongfully, perhaps treasonously, gave China.

Oh.. final results for the Chicago 4th of July holiday weekend is: 15 killed, and 88 wounded... 103 all total shot ,  Somebody needs to explain to the street thugs of Chicago  what Independence Day Fireworks means.

---
A CNN editorialist just compared..and negatively at that... Trump to Hugo Chavez... wait a minute, doesn't CNN idolize Chavez?

Online headline/story: "Lawsuit seeks to void Georgia congressional election results * The lawsuit was filed Monday in Fulton County Superior Court by the Colorado-based Coalition for Good Governance and voters who are members of the group. It seeks to overturn the results of the June 20 runoff election between Republican Karen Handel and Democrat Jon Ossoff in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District. Handel was declared the winner with 52 percent of the vote to Ossoff’s 48." --  Good grief.. What is it with Democrats? Didn't spending $35-$40 Million trying to buy the 6th GA District "learn" them anything? I guess not.. it looks like the Dems are going to pour more money "down the JON"...

---
We wondered why Ossoff could run in GA District 6 when he didn't live in it, but Maxine Waters, D-CA, doesn't live in the District she's "represented" for about 40 years..To boot, the District she represents is hugely black, yet the District where her $4.3 MILLION dollar home is has only 6% black population. Somethings "right" are just not right...

Online headline/story: "New York City cop 'assassinated' in the Bronx * A New York cop was "assassinated" while sitting in her marked patrol car early Wednesday in what NYPD commissioner James O'Neill called an "unprovoked attack." -- If there will be one main aspect to define Obama's "legacy", it will be the number of police officers callously  assassinated.

Online headline/story: "Clash looms as Puerto Rico prepares to send reps to Washington, after statehood vote * Congress has not formally recognized Puerto Rico’s vote for statehood, but that isn’t stopping the territory’s political leaders from gearing up for a Capitol Hill clash with plans to dispatch representatives to Washington.  * Gov. Ricardo Rosselló on Monday began naming those representatives – a list that eventually will include two senators and five congressmen – with the intent of seating them in Congress." -- Hmmm.. isn't this sorta like putting the "horse before the cart"... only in this case, it's putting "jackasses before the cart".

A fellow legal-eagle BCer made this comment following the recent release of 2017/18 property assessments/taxes by the City: "City said they were reassessing every parcel in town in 2017. No way to physically do that without drive-by estimates. Across the board changes are acceptable, apparently, under the freeze. Follow closely." -- Technically.. the City will be avle to use "drive-by" assessments  due to the new computer software and services it's purchased..Sadly, this is going to really "tax" everybody... and a lot of people "twice".. Prior Board of Assessors positions have been that the Board is not empowered to lower property taxes on appeal. and that the homeowners will have to "lawyer up".. which also means the City will "lawyer up" in return.. so anybody appealing through the court system will be paying lawyers on both sides.

And you thought Mayor Tom-LYING-son stuck us with big legal fees for her friends for the lawsuits Countryman and Bishop brought...

You know..Democrats insist that 10s of millions of Americans will lose their healthcare if OObamaCRAP is repealed. I'd love for any Democrat to explain what the out of pocket costs and deductibles these 10s of millions pay for their insurance.

There was a lot of consternation during the Superior Court Clerks race last year about the address of Ann Hardman.. does anyone actually know where she lives? According to her "State of Georgia Personal Financial Disclosure Statement" (http://columbusga.org/elections/Disclosures/AnnHardmanPFD062217.pdf) filed last month, her address is the same one that has a H1 exemption for another couple in the new tax database..

From the "did you really think otherwise" department - Since it's Democrats who are always complaining about voting registration suppression, why is it that the Democrats are the only people fighting against establishing the  integrity of the voting lists?

---
One Democrat spinmeister on Fox said more people are struck by lightning than vote fraudulently.   Of course, Democrats quickly get those struck by lightning immediately registered to vote.

Random thought: I am opinionated.. always have been.. I do research, and observe all around me, and make decisions accordingly.. but.. I don't base my decisions on whether they are "Right or Wrong".. I weigh what I know and have learned, and try to come up with a "GOOD" decision based on that info.. this way, when someone has a differing opinion, and is willing to discuss his/her views in a civil.. factful.. manner, I can add or change the overall info I based my opinion on. Good discussions either alter my previous position, or...in  most cases, digesting new info merely strengthens my previous convictions.. and I can help another with a softening or firming of his.her opinion..
