Last night was “National Night Out” in which our neighborhood looks forward to annually to welcoming members of Columbus, GA’s Law Enforcement Departments, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.. Every year an entourage of vehicles from Police & Sheriff vehicles, Fire trucks and ambulances “swoop” into our neighborhood at the delight of our “kids” (both young and older), and one year even a S.W.A.T. vehicle and a helicopter visited… but this year..alas.. no fire trucks nor Emergency Medical vehicles came (though we did get our Councilor and his better half included..…. Even without the Fire & Medical trucks, we did enjoy shaking hands with.. and putting faces on… so many vital members of our community.. See ya next year!
