Online headline: "Female MLB umpire was told she 'should have stayed in kitchen' by manager" -- First, this is not about the female umpire who started a career in MLB this past weekend..this one's "story" occurred in Auburn, AL decades ago.  Now, as one who umpired youth games for 30 years, I'd say she made a cardinal sin of umpiring on saying she reversed a call because she made a mistake... sure she made a mistake... in fact two... her first was deciding the outcome of the play BEFORE IT ACTUALLY OCCURRED.. rather than waiting for the play to actually happen.. the second was reversing the call without further evidence . such as the fielder not having control of the ball at the end of the play. She impaled herself! If she really realized her misjudgements, she should have admitted it to the managers/players and apologized for her mistake, but instead she compromised her integrity, thus lost her ability to stay in control of the game/situation.

And her 3rd mistake is trying to pass the blame off now!
