The reaction by his family and community was about racism... Anthony pled "Not Guilty" based on "self defense", yet did not testify in court to plead his story.. his side of the situation....to the jurors. Personally, I figure his attorneys decided to handle it that way in order to keep the prosecutors from cross examining Anthony's "claim".

From the “What happened?” department – In 2022, Carl Sprayberry unsuccessfully ran for a Columbus GA Council seat.. and convincingly lost; in  the 2020 &  2024 GA House District 139 races, Carl Sprayberry was trounced 2-to-1.. in April of 2025, Carl Sprayberry was arrested for an Internet Crime Against Children, but prior to that, I think he was an aide to John Ossoff ..  but where is he now?  When will be tried?
