potUS Arpege's crack campaign staff just embarrassed him, again, with the Jewish voters. They sent out a position statement telling the Jewish community how much support potUS Arpege has for "Isreal". Then he embarrassed himself more by kicking his staff in the butt, only to find out that "butts" aren't kosher.

Another government agency has been caught conducting another taxpayer paid employee convention. It wasn't in Las Vegas this time, but in Orlando, and it was, oxymoronically, the U.S. Office of Government Ethics. At least it was more grounded than the last one; it was within walking distance of FantasyLand.

---

Now we know why (hmmm, 4 words in sequence with a "W") potUS Arpege doesn't have a clue about how the economy works. His brilliant plan is for 'middle out and bottom up' economics, a.k.a. as trickle down poverty.

---

As potUS Arpege continued his speech on his knowledge of business, he said to small business owners, 'you didn't build that, someone else did'. WRONG again. "someone else' doesn't put in the 70 hours a week to build my business; 'someone else' didn't pay my bills in order to be able to service other 'some elses'. No, potUS Arpege, the 'someone elses" saw how hard we worked at what we did, and wanted our services. That's how small business works.

---

potUS Arpege is now floating the concept that he is hard at work because he's not taking a vacation at Martha's Vineyard this summer... Huh? If he'd been working hard for the past 3 years instead of constantly vacationing, he'd be able to vacation now instead on campaigning to keep his job.

---

From the 'let me get this straight' department - Online story: "A Foothill Ranch-based clothing retailer for young women is being sued by three former managers who allege the company discriminated against them because of their race. * "Wet Seal" has a general policy and practice of discriminating against its nonwhite employees, and particularly its African-American employees," the suit alleges. * A store manager told Saint Hilaire and other employees that they “need to hire more diversity” as they had too many American-African employees, it further alleges." -- This is not racism, it's attempted compliance of government quota-ism.

---

Online story: "SAN FRANCISCO — Microsoft is pulling out of the joint venture that owned MSNBC.com, freeing the world's largest software maker to build its own online news service." -- Hmmm, dumping NBC.. maybe a new name for its own news service might be "Ms. Fox".

---

Online headline: "Protesters In Egypt Pelt Hillary Clinton's Motorcade With Tomatoes, Shoes" -- Hmmm, a 'vaudevillian' response to a really bad act.

---

Continued from above: "A tomato struck an Egyptian official in the face, and shoes and a water bottle landed near the armoured cars carrying Clinton's delegation in the port city of Alexandria. * A tomato struck an Egyptian official in the face, and shoes and a water bottle landed near the armoured cars carrying Clinton's delegation in the port city of Alexandria. * Protesters chanted: "Monica, Monica", a reference to Former President Bill Clinton's extra-marital affair." -- Looks like the Egyptians really respect women, especially the one the media tries to pedestalize as 'the world's smartest woman'. Even a burqua wouldn't help Hillary disguise herself in Muslim-land.

---

A fellow BCer had a very astute observation to a point I had in yesterday's BC: "
What really gets me is these kids that are on food stamps and get free breakfast and lunch at school. So "Mom" gets an average of $160 to $180 per child in food stamps, and the school feeds them two out of three meals a day."
---
A 'heads up' from a fellow BCer: "NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- In the wake of the Supreme Court's health care decision, several companies with 50 or more full-time workers have embarked on a quest. * Their aim: Get below 50 and dodge the employer mandate." -- Wonder if potUS Arpege will now bar CNN from Press Conferences?
---
L-E headline "error": "Obama calls Washington broken " -- Shoulda read, "Obama calls Washington broke". Lets fix it in November.

Online headline: 'Obama Continues To Jab At Romney's Job Record" -- ? On what basis... that Romney has actually had real jobs BEFORE being elected to office?

---

potUS Arpege says everyone needs to pay their 'fair share' in taxes. Was his economic advisor Jeffrey Immelt's company, GE, not paying taxes last year "fair"? Is Solyndra bankrupting on half-a-billion in potUS Arpege loans, and not paying taxes "fair"? Is raising everyone's taxes for HELL-thSCARE during a depression "fair"? You decide; I know what I think is fair.
---
1 in 7 Americans are now receiving food stamps. Repeat, 1 in 7...14%! One contributing factor is that someone could have a million dollars in assets, but no earned income, and still qualify for food stamps. Simply a sign of a government program run amok.
---
All you Republicans running for/sitting in public office: I do support the tax freeze; I will vote against the T-SPOLST, but I am voting in the DIM's primary since so many of the races will be decided in July.
---
Here's food for thought: "Political candidates who run in specific city districts should be prevented from putting out yard signs in locations that are outside of their district confines.
---
The L-E 'rankings/ratings' of school performances based on the percentage of students on free or reduced price lunches was/is flawed from the git-go. When my oldest two children attended Columbus High, both were encouraged to sign up for such without any check as to whether 'they needed' such, because every school wants to have as many as possible on such lists because schools get more money federal tax dollars based on how many students get such lunches. Another government program running amok... see 'food stamp' mention above.
---
Another indicator of the L-E flawed benchmark of free/reduced lunch criteria is Britt David Magnet School. 14% of Britt David students are receiving such meal fare, yet all of them, 100% of them, 'passed' their CRCT exams in all categories.
---
L-E story: " — Seven weeks after she hanged herself, Mary Richardson Kennedy was reburied in a Cape Cod cemetery 700 feet from her original grave near other Kennedy family members." -- Is the Kennedy family embarrassed? How can such be; certainly no Kennedy could do anything more embarrassing than Ted Kennedy.
---
I usually don't comment about Phenix City 'doings' as there's really nothing there for me to influence or benefit from, but to see such a toot-your-own-horn full page ad about its City Manager just can't be overlooked. Beyond the obvious observation about the cost of such an ad, those citizens could have done more good by donating similar amounts to Phenix City community projects, but why does someone promote the fact that Phenix City not only 'created' 573 jobs and had 4 pay raises for city employees during such struggles with the economy endured by the other citizens of Phenix City?

In a recent comparison, of the worst smog choked national parks, California, the so called 'green' capital, had 4 of the worst 7, including Sequoia National Park which was ranked the worst. This is the state that has 1 of every 8 representatives in the US House, and they inject their morals, and values on the rest of the country, but California cannot keep its own house in order.

---

There's a protest at a Texaco station in Bogalusa, LA. It's a Muslim owned station that refused service to U.S. soldier because they don't serve those kind of people. Help the protest.. don't buy at local Texaco stations.
---

L-E story: "A man was arrested Wednesday night on accusations he shoplifted hundreds of dollars worth of clothes from Victoria’s Secret, Columbus police said. * According to reports, Shealey was inside the store when he shoplifted $774 worth of clothing. * Reports don’t list what items Shealey allegedly took." -- Another crack reporting job.. NOT! If the reporter couldn't figure out what was stolen from Victoria's Secret, he could have at least suggested that the items were not bib overalls, or men's tighty-whities.

---

Dimon Kendrick-Holmes had a reasonable argument going today until he made this statement, "Isn't a total magnet school supposed to reach out to all corners of the community?". no, a magnet school is, by design, whether a full or partial magnet, charged with accumulating students who demonstrate, by testing, that they are the best qualified to participate. Is he suggesting that such magnet schools lower their standards and become normal?

---

You know, if someone ran against Red McDaniel, and Red thought the person loved this city as much as he does, Red would probably retire and turn it over to such a person. Run hard, Red!

---

L-E headline: "Man accused of pointing knife at wife" -- What a bad headline... didn't even indicate whether the knife was loaded or not...

---

With the resignations of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, America's top rated TV show may be renamed "American Idle".

---

from the 'incomplete headlines' department - Online headline: "Obama's Small Business Push" -- Another half-truth of potUS Arpege. The rest of the headline should have read either "under the bus" or "over the cliff".

---

Online headline: "Saudi Women Athletes Head To The Olympics" -- Wait a minute! How will we know whether the runners under the Burquas are actually women?

---

The L-E is reporting the recent 21 year old woman was a CSU student (not currently enrolled) and a TV (WTVM9) station is inferring she was a "call girl". While the possibility both media can be correct, some sort of consistency would be better, and WTVM9 should disclose where it got the info it reported.

---

L-E headline: "AUDITORS: BILLIONS WASTED IN IRAQ * Actual amount lost to fraud and waste ‘can never be known,’ report says" -- Another 'smoke and mirrors' campaign ploy of potUS Arpege's campaign. He feels that if he can get us thinking about Billions he can blame partially on Bush, we won't be talking about the Trillions he has wasted.

---

L-E "headlie": "Obama, Romney short on specifics for voters " -- Wrong..Romney "may" be short on specifics, but potUS Arpege is simply 'short on results'.

---

L-E story: "BIRMINGHAM— An Uzbek man who came to America pursuing an Ivy League medical degree but wound up working seven days a week at a mall kiosk in Alabama was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison Friday for plotting to kill President Barack Obama. * Written and oral court pleadings showed Kodirov, whose parents are professionals who worked for the government in his native Uzbekistan, was accepted to study medicine at Columbia University in New York but never enrolled because his English was too poor. " -- Wait a minute... where was potUS Arpege's DOJ immigration team and discrimination team protecting Kodirov's rights as a social victim? Could it be he was European?

---

L=E headline: "Players voice support for disgraced coach Paterno * ‘He did a lot more good than bad for this university’ " -- Everyone of the players who feel this way should be made to go to evert Sandusky victim, and tell them that even though Papa Joe could have stopped Sandusky, he didn't, and do they think Paterno's coaching record over rides his failures as a humanitarian?

The T-SPLOST sponsors brag that, if passed, the 1% tax would generate nearly $600,000,000.00 dollars from the region, yet the project list is only about $410,000,000.00. Where's the extra $180-190 MILLION going? To boot, who do 'they' think 'they' are fooling when 'they' say the T-SPLOST will 'sunset' after 10 years? Do you really think that politicians will let go of such a slush fund without trying to get it made a permanent tax? Vote "NO!".

Online story: ""The mistake of my first term —a couple of years — was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right. And that's important, but the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times". - said potUS Arpege" -- 'Gives them (the American people) a sense of unity"? Like when you stepped in on the incident with the college professor and the Boston police officer assuming it was a racial situation, or when you stated Trayvon Martin looked like he could be your son because he was black, or because you stepped in on immigration and voter ID legislation on racial basis? potUS Arpege has promoted more racial segregation than when there was actual racial segregation.

---

Looking over Jeremy Hobbs 'career' as listed in the L-E yesterday, it looks like what he's closest to being is a 'community organizer with an agenda'. We've seen what electing a "community organizer with an agenda" has done to America. Lets not do that to Columbus.

---

Online headline/story: "'The Scream' Mystery Buyer Identified As American Billionaire Leon Black * The Wall Street Journal confirmed on Wednesday that Black, a New York-based businessman and long-time art collector, was behind the $120 million buy that made Munch's work the most expensive piece of art ever sold at auction." -- You have to wonder whether a collector like Black looks at a masterpiece he's just bought and sees the artist's work or the amount of money he's paid for it?
---
Damn you, Papa Joe! You went 10+ years knowing about Sandusky's perversion. Natural death was too good for you. The State of Pennsylvania should revoke your pension, and use it to compensate Sandusky's victims before any other University or state funds are used.

A little analytic perspective from a fellow BCer, and who can argue:
Let me see if I have this straight. The Chinese government has "legislated" to their citizens that they WILL stop buying GM cars......made in China. The President of the United States, his democrat congress and his court, have "legislated" to the citizens of the United States, that they WILL, start purchasing, government made health care. Sooooooooo, these two governments are to a large degree similar, in their "control" of their citizens, in what they do and do not purchase. Could that be correct?
---
From a fellow BCer...self explanatory:

---
L-E headline: "Muscogee County Title I schools continue to struggle on CRCT" -- OoooH. I know how the MCSD can gloss over this! Just as the MCSD got itself removed from there No Child Left Behind, perhaps the MCSD can change the name of the Title 1 designation to something with less stringent standards... like Division -2 ..
---
The real MCSD day to honor Susan Andrews was the day the board rejected her slate of new principals. A day in infamy... for the board.
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama on Wednesday after he told a Miami TV anchor that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez does not pose a "serious" national security threat to the United States." -- Can you believe this guy? You'd almost like to believe potUS Arpege is lust naive, but when coupled with his description of Iran as 'just a small country' so we don't need to take it seriously, we have a problem... 'we' as in America!

There's actually quite a simple reason potUS Arpege (promise them anything but give'm Arpege) is not going to the NAACP Convention....security is requiring 2 forms of photo identification.

---

The death toll in Columbus is climbing at nearly a 32% increase in the last three months. The last time I reported on the number of dead/dying trees put in for the beautification of Veterans Parkway, there were 19 such trees; now there are 25.
---
A short time back, Brad Pitts' mother wrote a letter to her newspaper countering a letter inferring voters should shun Mitt Romney 'because he is Mormon". Mrs. Pitts urged "prayerful consideration" from fellow Christians before voting for Obama -- "a man," she pointed out, "who sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage." Hollywood's glamouratti is in turmoil, as castigating 'Brangelina' could get the chastisers removed from invites to A-list parties. It's going to be interesting as November gets closer.

Watching the king sized 'excavator' at work behind the old dam at the whitewater site makes me wonder how many archeological treasures are being destroyed that were buried under the silt. You think some watchdog group would be monitoring this. http://vsasecuritysystems.com/whitewater-project/

Online headline: "China Slams the Brakes on GM's Accelerating Car Sales" -- Guess China has decided to fire a shot across potUS Arpege's 'bow' to remind him who calls the 'shots'.

Online headline/story: "MLB All-Star: Fans Went Over the Line * "This is a game," (New York Yankees' Robinson) Cano said, according to ESPN.com. "We're All-Stars. And if I get booed, I don't really care. But when they start with your family, that's over the line." -- What arrogance... KC fans were just responding to Cano leaving its local power hitter off the AL entrants in the Home Run contest. This just shows how today's players think they are bigger than the game. Here's one more for you, Cano, "BOO!"
---
Online headline/story: "Rooftop missiles for London Olympics OK'd by judge *
The missiles will be installed within days on the 17-story tower, one of six sites around London where surface-to-air missiles will be stationed as part of a vast security operation for games that run through Aug. 12 * The defense ministry says the missiles, capable of shooting down a hijacked aircraft" -- Glad the Olympics are not scheduled here...roof top missiles would be banned by the US 9th District Court as "Muslim profiling".
---
Online story: "LONDON (AP) London's municipal authority has urged organizers of the upcoming London Olympics to rethink their relationship with top games sponsor Dow Chemical Co." -- There has already been a challenge about Coke and McDonald's being major Olympic sponsors, so it looks like the next Olympics may be referred to as "The Mole Hill Games".
---
There's a 26 picture slide show on HuffPost showing Chicago politicians who have been arrested/convicted of in-office corruption. Looks somewhat short of being complete, but the addition of photos of Jesse Jackson, Jr., Rahm Emanuel, and potUS Arpege would go a long way to updating what has to be considered Chicago's Hall of Shame.
---
L-E story: "“We know we are not getting anything more with Mc-Daniel except someone trying to make a 40-year career out of being city councilor,” (Jeremy) Hobbs countered. “It’s time to put someone to work who brings to the table energy, action and vision.” -- "energy..action..vision"? All Hobbs brings to the table is 'personal activism' for his own 'agenda'. Until someone runs against Red on a 'love of our city' campaign basis that is better than Red's, Red is the Man!
---
As I think back to another time when Hobbs ran against Red (from an address of what he told me was his aunt's home), we had a conversation in which he inferred to me that he was a lawyer. Since when has CVCC offered a degree in lawyering even if you haven't graduated?

Online story: "Marion, IA - What would you do if you got to meet Abe Lincoln (well, an impersonator)? If you are President Obama, you give a shout-out to your "homeboy" and add him to your roster of endorsements. * At least, that's what the president did during his otherwise routine visit to Cedar Rapids today when he spotted the distinguished guest in the crowd. * "Abraham Lincoln is in the house. My homeboy from Illinois and an outstanding Republican endorsee," Obama called to him from the stage when he first arrived." -- Can you imagine any other president shouting out "homeboy" in any circumstance? Can you imagine the media reaction had Bush43 yelled that out, or, heaven forbid, Mitt Romney referring to the Mayor of Detroit as "homeboy"?

---

Online story: "Earlier today, Attorney General Eric Holder addressed the NAACP Nation Convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. What did media need in order to attend? That's right, government issued photo identification (and a second form of identification too!), something both Holder and the NAACP stand firmly against when it comes to voting. Holder's DOJ is currently suing Texas for "discriminatory" voter ID laws." -- What hypocrisy runs amok throughout the potUS Arpege administration. If Holder was truly trying to uphold American citizens' rights to vote, Holder would be DEMANDING voter ID laws being strictly enforced!

---

From the 'strange' department: Eric Holder is spoke to the NCAAP National Convention, but potUS Arpege did not. Guess the NCAAP nor potUS Arpege wants a confrontation prior to the November elections. Either that, or potUS Arpege couldn't produce the required two forms of ID.

Who amongst you thinks that the DOT or GA Legislature will seriously volunteer to give up a 1% tax slush fund after milking it for 10 years? Nip it in the bud... (Thanks, Barney..RIP)

Thanks to a fellow BCer:

With union pay scales being much higher than the federal minimum wage, have you wondered why the unions are interested in the minimum wage. Fact is that the minimum union wage scales are based on a certain percentage over the federal rate, and a rise in the federal rate means an automatic raise in union scale wages.
---
From fellow BCers: "Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack Obama does with mine." -- Or more specifically, "Apparently, we're supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack Obama does with ours."
---
line headline/story: "PFGBest, Brokerage Firm, Missing Over $200 Million In Customer Funds As Founder Attempts Suicide * "It appears that PFG does not have sufficient assets to meet its obligations to its customers," the NFA (The National Futures Association, an industry group that also plays a regulatory role) said." -- Why can't political parties be as responsible? When we appoint (by election) a president/representatives, and they fail to protect our national and personal financial interest, they run for re-election rather than removing themselves from office. This is just wrong.
---
Headline from yesterday's L-E: "SEARCH FIRM HOPES TO HAVE NEW SUPERINTENDENT BY JANUARY * Board members wouldn’t mind longer wait for ‘really bright person with integrity’ " -- "really bright person with integrity'? "bright"? This stirred up the remembrance of Joe Biden describing potUS Arpege as "articulate, and BRIGHT and "clean".
---
Ignorant L-E "soundoff": "Isaiah Crowell needn’t worry too much. I’m sure the NRA will defend him." -- Nah... the NRA is concerned with people legally owning legal guns.
---
L-E story: "ATLANTA — America’s first new nuclear plants in more than a decade are costing billions more to build and sometimes taking longer to deliver than planned, problems that could chill the industry’s hopes for a jump-start to the nation’s new nuclear age." * Plant Vogtle in eastern Georgia, initially estimated to cost $14 billion, has run into over $800 million in extra charges related to licensing delays. A state monitor has said bluntly that co-owner Southern Co. can’t stick to its budget. The plant is now delayed to November 2016. -- "over $800 million in extra charges related to licensing delays"? Nearlt a BILLION dollars in costs related to nothing but leagl jockeying over licensing...Well, what did you expect from the lawyers after the GA PSC gave GA Power the right to make us start paying for construction now?

Tuesday, July 10, 2012

The DOT has suckered in the 'local powers that be' by including a leg on the Riverwalk as an enticement to push it during the referendum.

---

How can potUS Arpege look into his Teleprompter, an say he only wants to tax the wealthy? HELL-thSCARE taxes everyone who's EARNING a paycheck, and the possibility of is taxing on the US and the World.

---

If there are any American apologies to be made, it will be by Romney apologizing to the World for potUS Arpege's election in 2008.

---

Why are there North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces in Afghanistan? I'm confused because my map doesn't show any congruity to the North Atlantic by Afghanistan.
---
You know, potUS Arpege loves to campaign.. now he's rehashing his 2008 speeches on taxes for 2013, yet he didn't do anything about them while has unstoppable forces in both House of Congress.
---
If you total up potUS Arpege's desired tax on all incomes over $250K, the sum would be only enough to run the government for 8 and 1/2 days. Think about that...that doesn't even pay for Federal paid holidays off! The government could save way more simply by curtailing excessive vacation allocations, and eliminating the accumulation of vacation time.
---
When I go on vacation to Florida, I expect to pay too much for our meals, but expect a reasonable amount of plated food and good service. We had one experience that left me sour at a 'popular' (must be under new ownership) eatery in Seaside. Y'all know the place..."Pickles Seaside Grill". Ordered 5 chicken strip 'baskets' (at $8.00 per) and 4 bottled waters and a large Diet Coke for $56.00... for lunch even. When they brought the 'baskets' out. there were 3 chicken strips per 'basket' but not 1 French Fry to be found. French Fries, it seems, were an extra order and an extra charge. Have you ever ordered a chicken, burger, or hot dog 'basket', anywhere, that didn't include 'fries'? To top it off, when I went to the counter to get a refill on my Diet Coke, I was informed Pickles didn't do refills because the Health Department rules prohibit it. Yeah... then McDonalds either pays off the Health Department or ignores it, as there was no limit to refills there.
We go to Seaside regularly, but future "Pickles" stops are out.

The latest from barackobama.com: "Hal -- Well, I've got some good news and some bad news.

Good news first: June was our best fundraising month yet. We exceeded expectations -- more than 706,000 people stepped up and pitched in for a grand total of $71 million raised for this campaign and the Democratic Party.

Bad news? We still got beat. Handily. Romney and the RNC pulled in a whopping $106 million." -- Hmmmm, of all the 'polls' out there, the 'follow the money' poll is the most accurate.
---
Online story: "A border enforcement advocacy organization says it's "absurd" that an illegal alien in California is suing for permission to practice law in The Golden State. * USA Today recently reported that after Sergio Garcia passed the bar exam in 2009, he was told he could not join the State Bar of California because he was in the country illegally. But now, the Supreme Court of California will consider his case, thanks to the state bar urging the court to agree that Garcia and others like him should be licensed." -- "thanks to the state bar urging the court to agree that Garcia and others like him should be licensed"? It was bad enough that the California Bar help get medicinal marijuana legalized, but it seems the California Bar has been smoking it as well. How can a group sworn to upholding law advocate to break it?
---
L-E headline/story: "STATE SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS MICHAEL CURRY’S CONVICTION * Jury found Curry guilty of killing his pregnant wife and two toddlers * “It put a sour taste in my mouth,” said public defender Bob Wadkins, who accused the high court of “glossing over” his appellate arguments. “I’m really disappointed that the court wouldn’t look at the case closely, and I think they just superficially affirmed it without really doing a scholarly analysis.” -- Sounds more like a 'sour grapes' situation. All of a sudden, the public defender, with his advantages of controlling jury selection, is not happy with the jury system and its findings?
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “One must choose in life between boredom and suffering.” — Germaine de Stael, French author (1766-1817)." -- Dang! This guy pegged the 2008 & 2012 election choices. More chose suffering in 2008; suffering sucks, so let's get back to boredom in 2012.

L-E story: "DES MOINES, Iowa — The condition of corn in the 18 states that produce most of it has deteriorated due to widespread drought." -- Hmm, guess that explains the sudden reverse 'spike' in gasoline prices.

From the "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help" department:
L-E story: "KINGSTON, Jamaica — Thousands of leatherback turtle eggs and hatchlings have been crushed by heavy machinery along a Trinidad beach widely regarded as the world’s densest nesting area for the biggest of all living sea turtles. * Government work crews with bulldozers were redirecting the Grand Riviere, a river that was threatening a hotel where tourists (and conservationists) from around the globe watch the huge endangered turtles lay their eggs. " -- I'm truly sorry for the turtle population, BUT liberals would be so much more content if they just used their own money to carry their torches.

Roy Bourgeois now lives in Columbus, GA?

Standing "O" for Chuck Williams, he nailed it!

From L-E story on driver's license renewals: " “The Department of Driver Services could have done a much better job of letting people know that you need to have birth certificate, Social Security card and two proofs of record that you live where you say you live,” (Richard) Smith said. * “That’s not a big demand, but it is if you don’t know it.” -- Should the voting office be so diligent in registering voters, and handing out absentee ballots.
---
L-E story: "Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee runner, is taking the issue of disabled vs. able-bodied competition into new territory as he prepares for the London Olympics. " -- This is not a fair competition. None of the "able-bodied" would want to have their legs amputated just to get advantageous technology for themselves, but this is a race where everyone should be on the same playing field in order for it to be a fair test of who is the fastest man. Just as steroid injected men and horses push the natural limits, and wheelchair marathoners can smoke the non-amputeed racers, and a snow machine would 'wax' the two legged downhill racers, but its not just about speed, its about what levels of excellence can be reached by man in his natural state.
---
L-E headline: "Lions’ Nick Fairley insists he’s still a fine role model * Former Auburn player arrested twice during offseason in Alabama " -- "fine role model"? Maybe for Isaiah Crow-well and other thugs, and maybe as a "roll model" for Michelle Obama's campaign on obesity, but I'd just as soon he'd lust go away before any more kids can watch him.
---
Today's L-E foreclosure section is the largest I've seen in years.. 14 pages. How's that working for you potUS Arpege supporters?
