It appears that the son of a former DemocRAT governor squeaked in a win in the Kentucky gubernatorial race. Squeaky in that it was less than .004% margin while a Libertarian took nearly 2% of the vote as well. There will probably be a recount, but why isn't there a runoff since no one got 50% + 1 of the vote? You would think DemocRATs would clamor for a runoff because they are always shouting that "the majority rules", and no one got a "majority of the votes". Buried deep in the story is (and treated with little significance is that Republicans won the race for state attorney general for the first time since the 1940s, with Daniel Cameron winning over 57 percent of the vote.

I'm beginning to think football media is looking for an excuse to proclaim Ohio State as the Number 1 team because they are burned out on SEC teams dominating the college football scene (5 of Top 11 are SEC).. Of course, Ohio State's quarterback was UGA's backup QB..how good could they been if they had Jake Fromm?

Wow! MSM-13 darling Jeff Bezos just put $1.5 million of Amazon dollars into the Seattle Chamber of Commerce's PAC to support political candidates running against current uber liberals on the Seattle City Council...this is huge!

Update of a local issue I asked about yesterday..my MCSB member responded to the question I asked yesterday, and the former Edgewood School building was sold to the local Boys and Girls Club organization. Pot's right!

On the other hand, still haven't got word from anyone on Columbus City Council how much the new Deputy Mayor makes... for that matter, why we need a Deputy Mayor when we have a City Manager who has 2 Deputy City Manager, and we have a Mayor Pro-Tem?

Talk about a racket.. Tried to pay my GA Power bill online yesterday and when I needed to "submit" the information, the page "shut down".. Called the Customer Service number and was informed that their payment site was down, and she wasn't sure when it would be up.. She offered to connect me to their bill payment site and did so. The first thing out of the responder's mouth was "there'll be a $2.00+ fee to make a payment.. I said, "No there won't" and hung up.. whatta racket.. GA Power's Customer Service sent me to GA Power's Payment Center and wanted me to pay extra to pay my bill.. Hey, PSC! Stop this practice!

From the "Jeffrey Epstein may be dead... but he's not 'dead' " department - News is out .. as is the "leaked" video that an ABC interview with one of Epstein's victims was quashed back in 2015 by the British royals and US DemocRATs, and one Clinton legal beagle. Let's watch closely..

From the "and the truth will set you free" department - M/C L-E story: "In an effort to counter U.S. sanctions, Iran will pull further away from a landmark nuclear accord signed four years ago, President Hassan Rouhani said Tuesday, announcing that the country would inject uranium gas into more than 1,000 centrifuges at a highly secure site that Iran initially hid from inspectors." -- Hmmm.. "a highly secure site that Iran initially hid from inspectors"? Well.. so if not for Trump.. the Obama-Biden Pact with the Devil would be even more hidden!

M/C L-E headline: "Diplomat knew why US aid was withheld" -- What is the issue/concern about "quid pro quo" over American tax dollars being given to other countries? I applaud President Trump for being concerned about the value America receives when we are giving money to assist other countries.. EVERY PRESIDENT... EVERY Legislator should be EQUALLY that American taxpayers get their money's worth!

M/C L-E headline: "Five Columbus-area schools reclassified * BY JOSHUA MIXON * JMIXON@LEDGER-ENQUIRER.COM" -- Whatta useless story.. we learned a few local schools would be reclassified, but what didn't learn was what are the classification ranges for the number of students? We learned that 2 other local schools went down in classification and 2 more went up.. but we didn't learn was how many students are in those schools..

M/C L-E headline: "Xi pledges steps to open Chinese markets" -- Well, well, well.. seems President Trump's focus on fair trade has had a definite impact...and there will be more to follow...

---
Online headline: "20 New Appointments Made by Governor" -- Hmm so 20 appointments were made by GA Governor Kemp.. none were Columbus connected... Guess having such a liberal voting base, liberal legislative base, and the DemocRAT's Minority Whip being married to Columbus' City Manager throws a damper on potential Columbus nominees...

---
Online headline: "Why the Democratic debate is headed to Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta" -- Discuss.. debate.. speculate as you will, but let's face it .. what better way to control access than with a gated facility.. it also means there won't already be a host of US Flags already lined up on the stage that will be used..

Online headline/story: "Trump to launch new black voter initiative from downtown Atlanta * The president will kick off the Black Voices for Trump Coalition initiative at 3 p.m. Friday at the downtown Atlanta convention center after a high-dollar fundraiser in Buckhead to support U.S. Sen. David Perdue. He’s expected to highlight recent statistics that show low unemployment rates for black workers as well as an opportunity zone program tucked into the Republicans’ 2017 tax-cut legislation that is designed to encourage investors to pump money into struggling areas." -- Hmmm... wanna bet that last nights election of the first Republican State Attorney General in Kentucky since the 1940s was won with a 57% to 43% margin.

Online story: "An internal investigation into several of Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ campaign workers who were hired for city jobs found they weren’t properly screened, were paid from restricted funds with no relationship to their jobs and were compensated for a pay period that occurred before they submitted job applications. * The report from the city’s auditor and ethics offices confirms most the findings of an Atlanta Journal-Constitution investigation published in March, which detailed how the new administration circumvented normal city hiring processes and broke with longstanding political practice by charging taxpayers for transition work her campaign staff performed before she took office on Jan. 2, 2018." -- Hmmm...Maybe the Atlanta black vote is going to be ready to listen to President Trump.
