Well.. the Breakfast Club is BACK! had planned a little longer sabbatical but it's reached the "Popeye Point".. ("That's all I can stands - I can't stands no more!"). Will "catch up" on some of the things going on...

First.. the City is buying a property WE ALREADY OWN! Though one Councilor has reached out a smidge, the Virginia College property is being "purchased" for $2.5 Million,, but who's getting the check? One Councilor states that the building is owned by VirginiaCollegeLLC (but that's no guarantee the LLC is actually the Virginia College corporation), but the tax database says it's owned by the Development Authority of Columbus, and the $55,000.00 plus annual property taxes paid by Virginia College ceased 3 years ago (that's over $165,000.00 NOT RECEIVED in property taxes to fix crime and roads).

---
Now I've learned my Council person IS AWARE of increasing crimes in his district (MY DISTRICT, too!). Through our Home Owners Association, we received:

"Stay Alert! I've heard reports of another small gang looking to break-in vehicles on the north end of town. Please keep an eye out for your neighbors. Don't make it easy for these vandals, lock your vehicle doors and then double check. Take your valuables out of your vehicles, and don't give them anything to shop for. Keep your vehicles in a safe area, and a well lighted area. Call 911 if you see any suspicious activity. Let's try to look out for each other, and assist our law enforcement officers"

Hmmm...It sure would be nice if Columbus had those extra 100 police officers promised in the 2009 Public Safety LOST patrolling and capturing this/these gangs.

---
Still no word/info on what account.. and how much has been accumulated in 10+ years of the Public Safety LOST money meant to hire 100 extra patrol officers... whether the Chase Homes will be rebuilt on the existing site or moved to another.... or how much the Deputy Mayor is paid...

---
The River Road Roundabout is now "open" though not finished. Traffic is better than it was when construction was impeding it but the issue I'm most concerned about (logging trucks) hasn't really been tested as yet.. did see one southbound semi hauling a near empty flatbed trailer gingerly manipulate safely through it with decided uncertainty, but this was doing a very low traffic lull. We'll see....

---
And how about our MCSD/MCSB! A settlement was reached exceeding $1,000,000.00 under the Title IX school sports program with a Northside High "softball mom" in which a new girls softball locker room will be built for over $448,000.00. Mind you, it's 1008 square foot facility costing nearly $445.00 a square foot, and he other $550,000.00 plus part of the settlement is no more frugally spent that this specifically mentioned amount.
Now, how much is a Title IX settlement going to be to accommodate all the new girls' football programs?

As a taxpayer watching Congressman Fulla Schi**'s hearing, I noticed a lot of bobbleheads behind him...why were they there? I'm sure they were getting paid, so why weren't they elsewhere earning it.

---
It's really sad that Congressman Fulla Schi** is focusing on directing a verdict versus rather than pursuing ... unveiling the truth of the matters discussed.

---
Lt Col Vindman outed himself yesterday.. while he insists his "policies" should outweigh President Trump's, he also admitted, as a Lt Colonel, he was pretty far down the official chain of military command as far as setting policy is concerned...

From "straight from her mouth" department - Online headline/story: "Teresa Tomlinson on David Perdue’s socialism ‘scare tactic’ * “We intend to take David Perdue head on with this stuff about socialism. That’s crap and there’s no way the people of Columbus, Georgia twice elected a socialist mayor,” said Tomlinson, the former mayor of Columbus.Asked to elaborate, Tomlinson said Perdue’s attacks describing Democrats as socialists are “his only tenet in this campaign.” * Tomlinson said she was motivated by an AJC poll that found a plurality of registered voters - 41% - were waiting to see who the Democratic nominee was before deciding who to back in Senate Race No. 1. “That’s because I’m going places and people are showing up. I’m not chasing people with MAGA hats, because I don’t think it’s a good use of my time,” she said." -- "there's no way the people of Columbus, Georgia twice elected a socialist mayor"? Good grief! The number one tool of the socialist agenda is to LIE, and this is what ex-mayor Tom-LYING-son does best. She's a believer in the "everyone is equal.. but some of us are more equal" socialist agenda.

One big question is why does she say this in Atlanta but not here in Columbus?

---
Online headline: "Atlanta mayor: City could deposit first $4.6 million into affordable housing trust fund in December" -- Hmmm versus building a roundabout?....$4.6 million.. that's what OUR Council spent to build the River Road Roundabout.

---
Online headline: "Georgia 2020: Andrew Yang and Dominique Wilkins shoot hoops, talk election" -- Good grief! Talk about a mismatched photo-op! It's obvious Yang wasn't talking about his slam dunking talents...

---
Online headline: "Mayor Buttegieg courts black voters in Atlanta" -- Hmmm.. maybe he should have "courted" blacks in South Bend, IN when he was mayor... Oh! Wait a minute.. weren't blacks in South Bend protesting the frequency blacks were IN COURT there?

---
Online headline: "U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar would require states to use paper ballots, issue grants to local governments to upgrade their voting infrastructure and ban foreign nationals from buying election ads, she said Monday at a voting rights event in Atlanta." -- Good grief! This may be the worst racial pandering of ALL the DemocRAT candidates gathered in Atlanta! The US Constitution now covers the rights of ALL that are privileged to have the right to vote.. besides.. Klobuchar is from Minnesota.. which has less than 6% black population and doesn't have enough Latino population to get a demographics category..

---
Listening to Col.Vindman answer the DemocRATic Counselor's questions at the public hearings, it was pretty obvious that Vindman was "searching" for particular words to use. This basically confirms that Vindman was pre-informed of the questions and coached as how to answer.

---
Online headline/story: "Tom Brady reiterates his hope that Colin Kaepernick gets another chance in NFL * Brady said, “I said the other day it’s great that he got an opportunity and hopefully he makes the most of it. It is like everyone in the NFL, it’s a great privilege to play and do something you love to do. I’ve felt that way for a long time. Hopefully he gets an opportunity. That’s kind of how I feel." -- You know, Tom Brady may have the right idea... put KaeperPRICK back on the field so the world can see what an ex-QB who's last 3 seasons went 15-33 and has a 3 year absence can do..

---
Did you see Pete Booty-gig's numbers in Iowa? I really don't think it's because the DemocRAT voters see him as their preference, but look at him as the next in line after Biden, Warren, and Bernie have imploded in recent weeks.

---
You know.. one of the "witnesses" in the "impeachment inquiry" is ex-Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, whom Congressman Fulla Schi** and MSM-13 are portraying as a "wounded doe in the headlights". I tell you what, if this is the Yovanovitch that has been "representing American interests abroad, it's no mystery why world leaders laughed at America before Trump stepped up to the plate!

---
Well, well, well.. Online story: "The Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, formerly the state Ethics Commission, filed a lawsuit in Fulton County Superior Court on Friday against Stacey Abrams’ 2018 gubernatorial campaign and two other groups tied to Abrams for failing to fully comply with subpoenas for certain documents last spring. * Former campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo said the campaign turned in thousands of pages of banking and campaign finance records but refused to release communications requested between the campaign and other groups, including the New Georgia Project and state Sen. Nikema Williams, then vice-chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia." -- Hmmm.. so Stacey Abrams really has committed to the DemocRAT agenda.. she feels she's "BEYOND the LAW"!

---
As sad as it was to hear that Columbus State enrollment has decreased over 7% in the last two years.. the disappointment is compounded now that it's revealed that the University System of Georgia overall enrollment has increased to a record high.

Online headline/story: "Homeless New Yorkers are being sent to San Antonio, other U.S. cities * More than 12,000 homeless New Yorkers are being relocated to about 370 cities around the country. San Antonio is expected to receive several people from New York, all of who are getting a year's worth of rent and money for furnishings, courtesy of NYC. * Other Texas cities receiving New York's homeless include Houston, Dallas, Austin.. and Helotes. * Local officials we contacted today were surprised to hear about New York's Special One-Time Assistance (SOTA) program. * Councilwomen Rebecca Viagran (District 3) admitted: "I hadn't heard of that. We’re going to ask our city manager to call their city manager to find out 'what are you all doing?' * New York's SOTA program actually began in 2017. Over 5,000 families have been relocated from New York, most to other cities in the East, although at least one homeless person was flown to Hawaii." -- What a crime! That's all it is.. paid "kidnapping" and "human trafficking"! Wanna bet that "the cities" are all bolstered by more "democRAT voters being sent to big cities in mostly "blue states".. and as far as NY paying "rent for a year.. you can bet it's only enough to pay the renters share of tax-assisted rent programs which means the cities NY is sending them to are still paying the lion's share of the extra costs and all the new social and health services needed..
