There was a lot of "conversation" about a recent "Final Jeopardy " clue.. It asked for the University that tried to trademark "The" to use in identifying itself on gear. paraphernalia, and such... It was an easy one... What is The Ohio State.. There was a harder question that could have been asked in the same category.. "Which university tried to trademark the first letter in it's name for the same reason?" If you don't know., I'll answer it tomorrow..

Online headline: "U.S. Soccer debunks viral lie that USWNT players turned backs during national anthem" -- "Debunks"? 3 of the 12 showed some semblance of "respect, but do not thy to convince me otherwise that 9 of the players intent was to turn their backs .. and not salute our flag and the dignity of a 98 year old WWII veteran... oh.. and don't for get the 4 referees... Any thing offered by the USWNT is an excuse.. not a reason.

Here we go again,,, the first reported homicide in July here in Columbus, GA.. Depending on who's figures are used that 37 or 38 for 2021 (and could be 41 or 42 but the Ledger -Enquirer is bad about keeping-up to date.. One for sure the Columbus L-E omits is the death that occurred earlier this year as the result of an August shooting of 2020. We're working on a 76 homicide schedule.. for 2021

Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order on Tuesday, declaring a "first-in-the-nation" disaster emergency on gun violence, and outlining several steps the state will be taking to quell the bloodshed, particularly that which affects at-risk youth." -- Good grief! New York CAUSED the influx with it's abandonment of "stop and frisk" and the initiation of "no cash bail" and "defunding the Police" program!
