Spoiler Alert: For the readers who primarily get their news from the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer a day or two late: Braves Won! Braves Won! Braves Won!.. 7-0!

America's future WON also! Looks like Gregg Youngkin of Virginia has defeated the Socialist-Democrats attempted coup of our Nation's Constitution. A good showing by Youngkin would have sent a strong message, but Youngkin WON... well, of course, the Democrats pull a lot more "mail-in" ballots out of one of their vans before Friday noon.

From the "For Whom the Bail Tolls" department - Online headline: "Juan Williams says 'parents' rights' is ‘code’ for racism and defends NSBA domestic terrorists letter" --
Hmmm... and Juan Williams is the dictionary example for Dense, Stupid, and Irrelevant. He ought to be arrested for impersonating a journalist...

Not holding my breath because we're talking about New Jersey governorship, but as of early this morning Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli has the lead (albeit very slim) over incumbent Democrat Governor Phil Murphy. In fact, a Monmouth University poll released last week had Murphy up 11 points. Of course.. (by design?) .."mail-in votes have been slow to be counted... guess the Dems haven't figured out how many more they'll have to add to assure Murphy wins...

Sadly, less than 11,000 voters cast votes in the $400,000,000.00 City SPLOST yesterday. Sadly because Columbus, GA has 130,000 registered voters. About 5,800 voters said "Yes", and 5,000 voters said "NO". When you think about how quietly the referendum was run during an off year election when there was no other elections on the ballot, most of the "Yes" voters were probably employees of the City and the biggest banking, contractors, and property developers in Columbus. This will make Columbus the state leader in a dubious category... beginning April 1st of 2022, WE WILL HAVE THE HIGHEST SALES TAXES IN THE STATE! In a way, Council has pull off the most devious April Fool's prank in our history. Shame on Council for scheduling this referendum on an off-year election date.

Did you see it? In the top of the 5th. When Swanson's 2-run homer turned those orange Astros rally towels into crying towels.

Online headline/story: "GO WOKE GO BROKE: WOKE ICE CREAM COMPANY BLINDSIDED TAKES ANOTHER HUGE FINANCIAL HIT * A once wildly popular ice cream is feeling the financial crunch of wokeness. Ben and Jerry’s marketing team has backed themselves into a corner. In an attempt to appeal to the “wokers”, marketing strategies have been transformed to kowtow to this crazy woke ideology. * Recently, Ben and Jerry’s decided to stop selling ice cream in the “occupied Palestinian Territories”. This marketing decision targeted settlements along the West Bank, including Jewish neighborhoods in East Jerusalem. * Well, it appears that in their pursuit of some so-called social justice, Ben and Jerry’s is fast chiseling away at their customer base and their profits. Now, anger over official Ben and Jerry policies are becoming bipartisan. Both liberals and conservatives are denouncing them." -- YES! Now, if we can get America's Jewish Community to become "woke" about the Socialist-Democratic Party!

Online headline/story: "Schumer announces deal to lower prescription drug prices * The agreement would allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices in limited instances, prevent drug companies from raising prices faster than inflation and cap out-of-pocket costs for seniors on Medicare at $2,000 per year. * The agreement is less far-reaching than earlier Democratic proposals, but it still represents progress on an issue the party has campaigned on for years. " -- "campaigned on for years"? Yeah.. but not acted on.. and now the Dems are trying to use this as "bait" to lure votes for the very bad JoKKKe Biden program bill...

From the "And you wonder why hospital bills are gargantuan..." department WRBL-TV3 story: "ATLANTA (NEXSTAR) – A Georgia woman says she left an emergency room after waiting for hours to be seen, but, despite the lack of treatment, a $700 bill still showed up in her mailbox. * Taylor Davis told WAGA-TV she suffered a head injury in July and went to Emory Decatur Hospital, only to find the ER packed. * “I sat there for seven hours,” Davis said. “There’s no way I should be sitting in an emergency room.. an emergency room for seven hours.” * Davis said she didn’t have her vitals taken, she didn’t hear her name called and no one saw her for her injury. Finally, she got up and left. * Convinced it was possibly a clerical error, she contacted the hospital and received an email telling her that the emergency room fee is applied before someone is seen by a doctor. “This is hospital protocol,” the email read. “Sorry about that. But the balance is valid.”" * Emory responded to WAGA: "“Emory Healthcare takes all patient concerns seriously and appreciates this has been brought to our attention. Our teams are currently looking into this matter and will follow up directly with the individual.” -- "will follow up directly with the individual"? Hmmm...yeah... to try to get her to stop talking about it! Just think of how $700.00 bills Emory sends out for every ER patient who walks in...and that taxpayers are probably getting stuck for the bill...

Online headline/story: "Atlanta mayoral candidate lags in money race despite big spending * A belated campaign finance report filed by Atlanta mayoral candidate Antonio Brown shows he spent hundreds of thousands on campaign expenses while raising little money from July through September. * Brown’s campaign filed its most recent campaign finance report on Oct. 19, 12 days after the Oct. 7 deadline. Brown told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the report had been submitted on time * But Municipal Clerk Foris Webb said in an email to the News Lab later that day, that Brown’s campaign had neither contacted his office nor submitted the report." -- Hmmm... late and/or missing election report forms? Who's his campaign manager.. Zeph Baker? Hey, Columbus Election people... has Baker even attempted to straighten out his failure to comply?

Has anyone seen the current redistricting map of GA that should be ready to have approved? I have a sneaky suspicion Columbus is going to be completely in District 2, and lose any interest of the Republican Party...

WTVM-TV9 story: "COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Heads up for parents! All students in the Muscogee County School District will be going virtual next Friday. * All MCSD schools will be closed Nov. 11 due to Veterans Day and on the following day, Friday Nov. 12, 3rd-12th grade students will remain at home and complete their school work virtually." -- Hmmm looks like the entire staff at the MCSD will get a paid "long weekend"..and I'm pretty sure that any "roll calls" will show the largest student absence rate of the year...
---
Pathetic Online headline: "Congressional Black Caucus Says Biden’s Build Back Better is Good for Black Americans" -- Good grief! I expect this kind of attitude from Black Activist Groups, but these are CONGRESSPERSONS! They should be concern only about what's good for AMERICANS! Anything that divides America is NOT GOOD!
---
From the "whatta whopper!" department - Online story: "One of the most surprising election results of the year already occurred in June’s Democratic primary for Buffalo’s mayoral race, when 39-year-old India Walton upset four-term incumbent Byron Brown. Walton, a registered nurse, activist and member of the Democratic Socialists of America, shocked the New York state establishment with the win, setting her up to be the first female mayor of Buffalo and the first socialist mayor of a major U.S. city in decades." -- "first Socialist mayor of a major U.S. city in decades"? Good grief.. MSM just feels the 100% Socialist oriented mayors of EVERY major BLUE city in our country just are "LEFT" enough for MSM to consider hem "Bernie worthy".
---
Online headline: "From Boston to Cincinnati, people of color won local elections in historic firsts" -- Good grief! America elected .. and re-elected.. a Black as our President years ago.. and we could have had a lot more Black elected officials.. but the Black Bloc doesn't feel Black Republicans are black enough...

From the "do as I say, not as I do" department - Online headline/story: "Donald Trump's social media platform hacked just hours after it was announced, reports say * Hackers gained access to a private version of former President Donald Trump’s recently announced social media platform and posted images of defecating pigs, expletives and more, according to multiple reports * The hackers, affiliated with the hacking collective Anonymous, told The New York Times that the move was part of their “online war against hate.” -- "online war against hate"? Hmmm... seems to me what the hackers did was more than HATEFUL!
