I'm involved in a construction project and we got a bid on a 1,650 sq ft building using "practical, easy maintenance, materials on existing property. The first bid in was for $200.00 a sq ft.. we're not talking about a complex structure.. more of an open gathering space and two Double stall restrooms. It's made me wonder how big the newest "affordable rent-to-own housing project" houses will be if they are costing $120,000 to $165,000. ... At $200 a sq ft, it sounds like they will be between 600 and 825 sq ft.

The CBP showed pictures of two 5-year old girls who crossed the Rio Grande River by themselves to get into our country. Let me ask a pertinent question, having raised 3 daughters, and now a grandfather, will someone explain to me how a 5-year old intentionally gets into a river, at a low water site, and makes the decision to cross over to the other side. My grandchildren , if they didn't jump back because the water was cold, would at best, splash around waiting for someone to tell at them to get "out"!

Does anyone in the MCSD really expect high school students to stay at home and watch he game there? At best, sadly, there will be groups outside nearby (but outside of police patrols) streaming the game on their phones, and even more ready.. and available... to "start something".

 

I remember being in Boston in 1992, and the City football championship game was between a white school and a black school (of course, in the South, all our schools were integrated by then), and a similar fear pervaded.. so... both teams were picked up along with only their coaching staff and cheerleaders, and taken to an undisclosed site to play the game in an otherwise empty stadium at 11:00 in the morning. Now, 30 years later.. we are seeing this in Columbus, GA

He won 56% of votes that year and started serving the city in January 2019. * Crime has been and continues to be a big concern during Henderson’s time in office." -- Hmm.. interesting... haven't heard enough about John Anker so far to make a change, but what I have heard and seen make me more than curious.. From his campaign disclosures, it looks like he's caught a lot of other eyes around town as well.. I'm going to pay special attention to the one that comes out against adding the $400,000,000.00 dollar Transportation SPLOST to what we're going to be burdened with in addition to the Local SPLOSTS/LOSTs.

I tell you what... we have been watching the National College Jeopardy Championships this week.. It[s the first time we've really watched since Alex Trebeck died, and we've notice one thing about Mayim Bialik... she does not have the same "essence of presence" Alex Trebek brought to the game.. with Trebeck, you knew who was in charge, with Bialik, we keep wondering when she'll be corrected.
