Online NBC (Nothing But Communist) "headLIE": "At RNC gathering, rift emerges between Trump’s interests and the GOP’s" -- Hmmm NBC (Noodle Brain Communist) .. as usual.. has it WRONG.. Republicans and Trump interests ARE THE SAME... saving America from Socialist-Democrats.

Looks like a few of folks are "throwing their hats into the political ring" locally ..so far... Sadly, our local elections are determined in May rather than on the November General Election date when citizen take more interest.. and action .. in determining our leadership.. Hey.. local legislators.. help Columbus by changing the date!..
For Mayor of Columbus: John Anker
Council Post 1 -
Council Post 3 - Bruce Huff*, DeMarco Johnson
Council Post 5 - Carmela Morales
Council Post 7 - Laketha Ashe, Jane Cogle, Siavosh A. Etemadi, Juanita Taylor,

Looks like number of incumbents on Council may still be pondering

As "peaceful" as January seemed in shootings and homicides here in Columbus, it looks... and sounds like February may catch up all too fast.. looks like we just experienced homicide number 4 for 2022... .. Of course it's number 4! The hospital does not call the coroner to be on hand for a pending second opinion...

---
February is here.. Question for Council: Since Whitewater doesn't collect any sales taxes, how much in user fees did Columbus, GA get.. and how much did Phenix City, AL get for 2021?

2 more questions for Columbus GA Council: 1 - The new 96 gallon trash cans are starting to be delivered in February.. Do citizens need to order one or will they just be "dropped off"? 2 - How do we get rid of our existing.. now obsolete.. trash cans?

---
Wow! Here's another question for Council... In today's electronic atmosphere...why hasn't Council had the City Manager compile an e-mail list of property owners and send out monthly reports on any/all tax, crime, and job openings, and other vital public interest issues (like street/public facility closures for maintenance/events), and why doesn't the Election Office do the same for registered voters.. It would be a quick/easy/low cost way to communicate physical address changes, and 2 year inactive.. (or suddenly active) voting activity so voting lists can be kept up-to-date.

Online headline: "ICE deports two illegal immigrants wanted for aggravated homicide in El Salvador * ICE has narrowed its arrest priorities dramatically in the last year" -- Hmmm... "ICE has narrow down it's arrest priorities"? Not exactly... "The Biden administration has dramatically narrowed the priorities for ICE officers, reducing where they can make arrests, stopping mass workforce enforcement operations and limiting enforcement priorities to three categories – recent border crossers, "aggravated felons" and national security threats." You know.. our borders if the WALL was built, and ICE could go to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and arrest the White House "handlers" for "obstruction of justice", violation of their "oath of office", and "aiding and abetting" felonies..

---
Online story: "President Biden said Monday that his administration is committed to improving the border crisis by trying to "figure out" why migrants are leaving their home countries for the U.S. in the first place. " -- Good grief! Venezuela won't even accept back the criminals it's banished to our country, and the Biden Administration openly encouraged illegal aliens as he campaigned, and then has basically guaranteed their passage to the US location of their choice!

---
Looks like the White House "handlers" have realized their attempt to make Resident Biden "look/sound" tough for the World Leaders (and CNN/MSNBC) has been a failure, so the "handlers" are "softening their aggressive rhetoric" about what they feel Putin is thinking. I could have told them that Putin.. like most other World leaders, and the vast majority of Americans... has been thinking "whatta joke Resident JoKKKe Biden is".

I'm getting a little more suspect about whether the raid in Syria actually got rid of the ISIS terrorist target Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi... Based the ruthless manner the "terrorist" took out friends and family by blowing up his own house, I do wonder if he left the building, then blew it up to cover up his trail...

---
Online headline/story: " Schumer falsely claims Supreme Court 'was all White men' until 1981, ignoring Thurgood Marshall * Marshall served on the Supreme Court from 1967 until 1991 * Schumer forgot about Marshall, a member of the high court’s liberal wing who served as associate justice from 1967 until his retirement in 1991. He died in 1993 at the age of 84." -- Of course Schumer forgot about Thurgood Marshall.. Schumer;s a Democrat isn't he.. and Democrats always forget what the promise r=to get votes..

---
Online headline: "Pelosi says it’s ‘so sad’ ISIS leader blew up civilians along with himself" -- Hmm ... other than it's questionable if al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi did die in the explosion, it's sadder that every time Queen PeLOUSY open her MOUTH, America's future BLOWS UP!

---
From the "what she says versus what she means" department - Online headline: " Pelosi warns US athletes not to risk 'incurring the anger' of 'ruthless' Chinese government during Olympics" -- Yeah.. Queen PeLOUSY doesn't want Americans hear how about her plans being the same as the Chinese plan of government ...

---
Online headline: "Biden says the answer 'is not to defund the police,' but to invest in law enforcement" -- Good grief! Like Resident Biden is such a good example of upholding and enforcing our laws he swore to protect...

---
Online headline: "CNN president Jeff Zucker resigns after failing to disclose relationship with colleague * The decision came after he was asked about a “consensual relationship with my closest colleague” as part of the investigation into former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo. " -- You know.. CNN lost any credibility it ever had when CNN spokespersons stated they did not know this was going on...Now... what about his partner .. Allison Gollust? Has she resigned? I haven't seen it, but she's as culpable for as she's used her connection to be the previous "next in line" to replace Zucker... but it's even deeper since she worked with Zucker in a previous job, and she also had worked in the NY Governor's office before coming to CNN.

---
Online headline: "Dutch City agrees to dismantle historic bridge to make room for Jeff Bezos' superyacht" -- The next time you hear a liberal rant about conservative White Privilege, remind them of Jeff Bezos having a yacht built in Netherlands that is so big, it can't be moved to the open sea unless a bridge in Rotterdam is dismantled just for him. Uh-uh.. don't even try to say he wasn't aware of the logistics when he contracted to have the 417 foot yacht built...Bezos is the mastermind of Amazon and delivery logistics are what made it successful!

---
From the "but we know better" department - Online headline: "Inflation hits Amazon: Price of Prime memberships going up * Amazon cited increases in wage and transportation costs as the reason behind the move" -- "Inflation"? How about the cost of dismantling and rebuilding a Dutch bridge?

---
Online headline: "Pelosi backs possible union for Capitol Hill staff as workplace horror stories bubble up online * Many Capitol Hill staff feel underpaid, overworked" -- Wait a minute! There's no incentive for Congresspersons to be concerned with the costs of their staff so this is just allowing Congress to pass on it's lack of efficiency directly to the taxpayers! If Congress wants their staff "unionized" (and basically "unfireable" and eligible for pensions at taxpayer expense) let Congresspersons be personally responsible for their staff salaries out of what we taxpayers pay Congresspersons to do!

WRBL-TV3 headline/story: "Nearly 5,000 high school drama students descend on Columbus as ThesCon resumes after a 2021 COVID intermission * COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — After a year off because of COVID-19, the Georgia Thespian Conference is back in Columbus. * And the three-day high school theater gathering — known as ThesCon — is back in full force. * The buses from across the state are lining up in downtown Columbus. And according to the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau, the event brings a direct economic impact of nearly $1 million." -- What a great community effort! Getting back to normalcy!!
