As I look at shootings/shooting homicides in other cities, it appears that fatal shootings account for only about 20% of the shooting incidences. No body informs Columbus GA citizens of the actual numbers, so a quick calculation of Columbus's 40 or so homicides so far this year would indicate a total of about 200 who have been shot and wounded or killed. Until we know exactly.... and from a reliable and consistent City source, we need to keep the 5X factor as our guide/estimate. Oh! This would mean that last year there were way over 300 people wounded or killed by guns.
