The AJC is trying to inject that a "fee" based on mileage driven be enacted in GA to replace the 29/30 -cent State tax per gallon of gas so that Electric Vehicles will be paying heir "fair share", too.. Totally unnecessary... GA only needs to require all charging stations.. home and public.. have a billing software "fix" to add an equivalent cost factor to "filling up" as gas fueled cars do at the pump..

Was looking at a story on "affordable housing" created through the Columbus (GA) Housing Authority/NeighborWorks of Columbus (GA) partnership up in Bibb City, and saw a home in the 3500 Block of 4th Avenue that's owned by a person with a Phenix City mailing address.. something just doesn't "smell right" for a program to create affordable homes for Columbus people that is owned by someone living in another state.. Part of "affordable" is having Homestead Exemption Property Tax Protection.
