Today is President's Day .... I remember when we celebrated President Washington and President Lincoln on two separate days... I remember the customers packed like sardines waiting to rush in our doors (for the few who don't know.. Kirven's Department Store 1876-1993) and grab up deals at super bargain prices. I remember articles running about George "I cannot tell a lie" Washington and "Honest Abe" Lincoln... but no more .. the libs have pretty much "canceled" Washington & Lincoln, but now they cannot even celebrate Presidential honesty and integrity with Biden as President.

A Friday AM Columbus (GA) L-E story listed the 4 shooting homicides we have had here in 2023... by Sunday, 5 more were killed...now we already have 9, and we haven't gotten word about the people shot and in critical condition....or about any new killings Sunday evening!

It's a question you can ask of almost any community, but... with the carnage of shootings and killings in Columbus, GA this past weekend within our minority community, why does the minority community feel these criminals don't bring it upon themselves how law enforcement feels it must act to bring them under control? This is not Chief Blackmon's fault! Where are the parents? Where are the church leaders? And where is Council helping provide the Public Safety LOST funds we were promised when it was voted for?
