Online headline: “JenChan’s Pizza
and Chinese in Atlanta Georgia was slammed on social media after a customer
called out the restaurant’s surprise 4% fee for health insurance. “ -- Good
grief! I write off restaurants that add a "card fee" and then suggest
"tipping" on the total of the food&beverages plus the card fee
and the sales taxes!

• Online headline: “I found this on
NewsBreak: Obama believes there’d be ‘incalculable damage’ if Trump wins,
Holder says” -- Hmmm...the only "incalculable damage" would be to the
Socialist-Democrats' agenda to overthrow our Constitution!
---
Online story: “The Ohio House voted
Wednesday to overturn Republican Gov. Mike DeWine’s veto of a bill that bans
gender-affirming health care for transgender minors and prevent s transgender
women and girls from competing on female school sports teams. * The lower
chamber voted 65-28 to overturn DeWine’s veto of House Bill 68, along party
lines.” -- Hmmm..
I do believe DeWine’s career is over.. Rumor has it his name on any future
ballots will be “DeWINO”.. because he was “drunk” with a false sense of power…

Online story: Embattled District
Attorney Fani Willis has been subpoenaed to testify in the divorce case of the
special prosecutor handling the Trump election interference case, who she
stands accused of having an “improper relationship” with. * Furthermore, it has
emerged the attorney, Nathan Wade, wasn’t even approved by the relevant board
before being hired by the Willis who presides over Fulton County in Georgia.
Wow! And she paid him over
$674,000.00 over the last two years, and vacationed with him in resorts and
cruises.. Seems like GA should be putting her on trial rather than Trump!

If you have any connection with
Columbus, GA, you need to... no MUST… read this article written Tuesday when
the announcement that the Mississippi Braves were moving to Columbus, GA:
https://magnoliatribune.com/2024/01/09/mississippi-braves-leave-hole-in-pearl/
One missing bit of info is that
Diamond Baseball Holding purchased the Mississippi Braves in 2022, just two
years before their current contract was about to expire.. This is important
because when teams are sold , the new owners are going to be looking for even
more “subsidies/concessions” from the current government and shopping other
cities LOOKING for a better deal.

How could any Columbus GA Councilor
vote to spend nearly $50 Million on Band-Aiding Golden Park to play
"AA" Minor League baseball knowing former MLB star player for the
Astros and Orioles, Councilor Glenn Davis, was ardently opposed to the idea? If
that area ... the intersection of US 27 and US 280 was a viable address for
hotels and restaurant development, it would already be a bustling enterprise area. If you
read (if you haven’t, then do so now) the article above from the Mississippi
Tribune, you’ll see the “stars in our eyes” expectations of a booming economic
impact did not happen for Pearl, MS after the Braves team signed the 2005
contract.

A local Columbus, GA TV station
aired a live interview with a well admired, long time .. now retired...
official GOLDEN Park baseball scorekeeper.. she was excited that
"AFFORDABLE" minor league Braves-connected baseball will be coming to
Columbus, GA, and hopes the "grace and character" of the faculty will
remain... Hmmm... I don't think she has had enough facts of the situation
explained to her...last season, good seats at a Mississippi Braves game were
$28.00 a pop, and keeping the "grace and character" of a crumbly 70+
year old stadium superstructure is not not... SHOULD NOT ... be the outcome
after a nearly $50 Million dollar "redo".

What is Resident Biden thinking?
Wait a minute... "thinking" may be too much of a stretch for Biden,
so maybe we should ask, "What was he feeling?".. I'm talking about
his response to Palestinian radical protesters demanding the US pressure Israel
into a cease fire.. What he should be saying to them is, "C'mon, man! When
the Palestinians run off HamASS and... AND return all the hostages.. and the
American ones better be alive and healthy... and make financial amends to the
Israelite families .. THEN we'll talk about a cease fire deal with
Israel!"

Hmmm... so Nick Saban has retired...
Who'd have believed he would retire on a loss his final game..

An interested Breakfast Club
baseball fan mentioned that a new baseball stadium elsewhere in Columbus GA
(versus Golden Park) should be a priority.. Well, in 1990, during the Columbus
GA Mayoral election forum at Peachtree Mall, I brought this very subject up. I
did a little research and figured that a new outdoor 4,500 seat baseball/music
park could be built for about $7 Million and the perfect property (where
AutoNation et al businesses exist) was available with an eager to sell option
holder. It solved all the negatives that plagued Golden Park ... location,
location, location....plus it would put Columbus in position to bid on
satellite 1996 Olympic BASEBALL games. After this idea created a lot of excited
interest from Columbus Council, it was decided that was "too much" to
spend so they'd just spend the $1.8 Million already available on Band-Aid
projects at Golden Park. Then, in 1993, Council voted to spend $7 Million
destroying Golden Park by turning it into a softball facility for games Atlanta
didn't even want. What a financial flop for Columbus' economy...

I'm beginning to feel renaming the
new "AA" baseball team the "Columbus Cows" is picking up
steam. Just think about the advertising campaigns... "A MOO-ving Family
Experience".. "The UDDER-ly Family Venture".. "The COWS are
coming HOME"..."Free Ice Cream Night" ... " Free bag of
fertilizer night".. Oh! And grandstand vendors can wear Cow costumes and
sell chicken sandwiches… well, except on Sundays…

What arrogance...Hunter Biden
showing up at the public House Committee meeting discussing the Contempt of
Congress charge for him NOT showing up for his subpoenaed House Committee
session.

Online headline: “Officials in a
small town in Tennessee voted against Chick-fil-A's proposal to build a newer
and larger restaurant in the town after residents were concerned about traffic.
“ – Hmmm… WOW! A City Council that intentionally turned down and opportunity
for a private business who wants to pay more taxes, collect more taxes, and
increase. That’s almost as bad as a City Council that believes a minor league
baseball time will be the economic drive it’s local economy needs…
---
Online headline: “Vermont delivered
on all fronts’: Residents and business owners reveal why people are flocking to
the state” -- Wow! This maybe a sign that Socialist Senator "Bernie"
may get unseated next time!

Can you believe what the game conditions will be Saturday night at the Dolphins-Chiefs game in Kansas City? Following subfreezing temps and rain on Friday, at kick-off on Saturday, the temperature will be “0 degrees” and will be as low as “ -6 degrees” before it’s over.
