One Columbus GA Council member sends out a newsletter each month, and while I enjoy...appreciate.. good communications, there's no way $45-$48 Million dollars should be spent on Golden Park! The external auditors currently examining our City Government definitely need to be hired to tear apart that proposal and see where and with whom the Mayor wants to spend that money! Hey.. you don’t get a nearly $50 Million dollar “estimate” without some preliminary discussions and promises…

You know.. early vote info concerning the Mayor’s minor league says 6 Columbus, GA Councilors are “prepared” to vote “YES”.. Two of those are our “at Large” Councilors (Thomas and Begly) one, Mayor-appointed Begly, of which we KNOW won’t be running for election in 2024 . One who’s NOT projected to vote “YES” is Glenn Davis.. who has personal experience of minor league baseball in Columbus… and that alone should make the 6 expected to vote for it to take another look at their positions..

 

Hmmm… You know.. on this issue, wouldn’t it be better that Begly recuse himself on this vote since WE KNOW he won’t be around to know which team.. or which level of team … Columbus might get, and he won’t have to report to Columbus voters in the future?

Some pro-genocidal Palestinian protesters interrupted Resident Biden's political speech at the South Carolina Church .. I thought it was "funny," that in a church that size that there wasn't a "screening process" that would have allowed that many protesters in and able to sit together, and also thinking about how many actual members of that church were denied entry for lack of space. Make no mistake, the protest was a planned event meant to appease Muslim and liberal Democrats.

Good grief! The Columbus GA School System has no sympathy with our citizens.. inflation has raised grocery prices so the E-SPLOST taxes on them have been accelerated so much that the current E-SPLOST receipts have come in much quicker than planned . The School Board should give the local taxpayers a break, and reduce the local sales taxes by 20% for the next year when they were originally planning to put it back on us!
