When the biggest issue for some is "AFFORDABLE HOUSING", maybe our. Columbus GAs’ Mayor/Council should be looking at "AFFORDABLE HOUSING  for CRIMINALS"!  $480 Million for 576,000 comes  to $833.00 a square ft. Accommodations for 1,600 comes to $300,000.00 each for 1,600 prisoners!

Online story: "Georgia State representative Carolyn Hugley, of Columbus, GA , is raising concerns about the future of voting rights and political representation following a recent ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States that could reshape how electoral maps are drawn nationwide." -- Good grief! The courts have just declared "NO RACISM"! People can live anywhere, but all Districts should be as uniform in the number of people by number....not Race or Political Voting registration... and in the most even geometric designs as possible so all voters in a district are similarly near their representatives. Mrs “I-see-a-nothing” Hugley seems to forget that following a past Census redistricting plan, THREE Super-Black (well over 60%)  populations were originally submitted,  and the Courts stopped that in its tracks!

Our District 2 Congressman Bishop, D-GA2, made a similar error in facts at Hrs Hugley: “Bishops says: “ “The price of freedom is truly eternal vigilance. Today’s U.S. Supreme Court decision is the latest in a line of decisions which has decimated the Voting Rights Act and left it a shell of the landmark legislative achievement of the Civil Rights Movement. This decision ignores our country’s history of racism and reopens the door to Jim Crow era, undemocratic tactics that suppressed and denied power to minority voters and communities.” – Hey Congressman… my comments to Mrs Hugley should hit home with you as well,  but if the Jim Crow/KKKrow Era wasn’t your cup of tea, why are you a DemoKrat? Hat era. ESPECIALLY in the South was completely controlled by the DemoKrats.. Don’t you remember Dr ML King, Jr, was a Republican because of DemoKrat Governors like Lester Maddox and George Wallace!

Looking at another election affecting the Columbus GA area.... State Senator Ed Harbison is retiring and his son, also an Ed Harbison is facing off against State Representative Teddy Reese in the DemoKrat Primary. There are few DemoKrat politicians I respect as much as Senator Harbison over the years, and I think young Ed will be a fine follow-up to him... Obviously, he's been raised and trained by his dad, and will reflect that wisdom in his future.
