Last night was sorta a physical version of "The Breakfast Club". Sam, we miss you.
---
Online headline: "Obama's $300 Billion Plan Revealed" -- Unfortunately, 'we' don't have the money (nor the desire) to do what he feels, and even worse is that $300 Billion isn't even close to how much it will cost us if Congress does approve it.
---
A news story is bantering about the capture of Al Qaeda's chief economic terrorist whose job it was to disrupt international commerce. Huh? Why would Al Qaeda spend money on a job that already is filled by potUS O'Blather and the DIM&DUMBERat Party for the past 2+ years?
---

From a fellow BCer:
Short & Direct

From a Marine friend...Short and sweet...and to the point.

The Navy SEALS removed one Muslim threat to America ...

It's up to the voters to remove the other!

---

From online quote service: "A real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken a new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided." - Anthony Robbins -- Do you reckon potUS O'Blather would catch this if it scrolled across his TelePrompter?
---
I've about had it with unions after hearing Jimmy Hoffa declare war on all us non-union 'sonuvabitches'. I'm gonna start looking for the union label..again.. and when I find it on anything I'm interested in buying, I will look for another product that serves my purpose. I have no empathy for anyone who offends my mother or children's mother.
---
A local motorcycle ad is promoting the memory of 9-11-01. It refers to this as a 'tragedy'. This was no tragedy; this was a TRAVESTY towards mankind. A tragedy is something that happens by accident or by a freak of nature. 9-11-01 was a planned terrorist attack on everyone. This was a heinous act of cowardice, and no one involved or who approved should be breathing today.
---
It was ironic that potUS O'Blather chose the city of Detroit to bond with the unions. Detroit was once proud city that has been humbled and crumbled by a coalition of union and government destruction that resembles foreign cities following World War II bombing raids.
---
Why are there State Patrol officers following football coaches? Aren't there more important, more urgent budget needs than this? If coaches feel that endangered, or in need of a 'hey-I'm-important' ego trip, then let them hire their own security guards.
---
L-E headline: "Starbucks plans to triple its China coffee shops " -- Boy, bet potUS O'Blather wants to put a stop to that! Can you imagine the hounding the White House will get from China's debt collection service when the callers are hopped up on a triple expresso?
---

Another good 'alert' from a fellow BCer: Peter Lewis, chairman of Progressive Insurance, has donated many millions of dollars to the ACLU and MoveOn.com ('snopes' confirmed). We have one of our daughters insured by Progressive, but that will stop after this 6 month period.
---
Fall Line Trace....Give it time...and it will become an eyesore and public frustration. Motorcyclists and joyriders will discover it as will skateboarders, and bicycle shops will not inform the public of the laws and rules of bicycling, and wait until the smooth surface wanes and pot holes appear. Just wait.
---
Harvey Updike should be chained to the oaks at Toomer's Corner on game days, and, win or lose, let AU fans toss toilet paper at him instead... preferably used TP.
---
Online headline: "Four NASCAR Drivers to Skip Meeting With Obama" -- Can you blame them? After all, NASCAR drivers are only allowed to make 'left turns' on the track so they prefer to make 'right turns' when off the track.
---
L-E headline: "In Labor Day speech, Obama pledges support for unions" -- Even when preaching to the choir, potUS O'Blather still won't get 100% union support except from the Union Leaders, but this is what DIM&DUMBERats do, promise factions the moon while ignoring the self-invested small business owners who pay for the promises. No wonder D&D's are happy that less than half actually pay income taxes.
---
A poll out of LA shows potUS O'Blather beating either Perry or Romney with 54-56% of the LA vote. Hmmm,, O'Blather cannot even get 1 landslide poll result in a town that is full of illegal aliens to poll.
---
Excuse me, but what is the purpose of the L-E ad with the self-promoting pat-on-my-own-back Clerk of Municipal Court? To begin with, it promotes a beginning date that's almost 2 months past, but who authorized it, and who paid for it? If it was necessary as a 'legal ad', why was it printed in such large type rather than in a traditional 'legal section' format?

Monday, September 5, 2011

Online headline: "White House: Obama Presses Congress On Quick Jobs Action" -- Is this guy unbelievable or not (and I'm not just talking about the fact he's not believable as a rule)? While vacationing on an elitist vacation compound, potUS O'Blather casually mentions that in a couple of weeks he's gonna hit us with a game CHANGing bit of job HOPE plan, but now he wants Congress to speed it up. How can this guy be even a contender in DIM&DUMBERat ranks?
---
Online headline: "Obama, Democrats Losing Key Support" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought George Soros had sent a check to the "Re-elect Bush" campaign.
---
From L-E column: "We do maintain our city property,” Goodwin said. “We do go in and cut our rights of way and other property a few times a year.” -- Hmmm, maybe the 'weeds' are actually a City required buffer zone so that the Library is muffled from the sounds of gunfire in adjoining neighborhoods?
---
L-E headline: "Roman gladiator school in Austria unique" -- Who are the students... the 2012 ACORN voter registration team?
---
One thing perfectly clear was that neither Crowell or Jones could keep there helmets on Saturday night. All those dreadlocks must have a negative effect on helmet fit...perhaps some Velcro might help.
---
Online story: "SACRAMENTO – A prominent Democratic campaign treasurer who works for federal, state and O.C. lawmakers including U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Rep. Loretta Sanchez and state legislators Lou Correa and Jose Solorio has been arrested by the FBI on suspicion of mail fraud, The Orange County Register has learned. * State Sen. Lou Correa told the Register on Saturday afternoon that he was called by the FBI late Friday night and told that Durkee had been arrested and that he is a likely victim along with “many, many other victims.” The Santa Ana Democrat said he believes he has lost “hundreds of thousands of dollars” in campaign funds. * Federal Election Commission records show that Durkee is the treasurer for Feinstein and Sanchez, who could not be reached Saturday. California Secretary of State records show she currently serves as the treasurer for at least 113 state-level committees * Durkee has had enforcement actions taken against her four times by the state Fair Political Practices Commission, primarily for failing to report transactions or information." -- Guess Durkee has "earned her wings" to be the next Financial Tsar for potUS O'Blather's upcoming job speech.
---
L-E headline/story: "Tea party bulling its way into race * That’s much to the delight of Democrats who are working to paint the tea party and the eventual Republican nominee as extreme." -- Well, it's also 'much to the delight' of the actually working American voters. American taxpayers are looking for some 'extreme' solutions!
---
Labor Day... when millions of government workers take a day off while the rest of America works.
---
Open letter to Tim Echols in response to his L-E response:
Taking your family at your expense (you are prorating the room costs, I assume) is OK with me.
What I don't like is the fact that when GA Power spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising ways to cut our energy costs and usage, the PSC will allow GA Power to claim those expenses for the need of a rate increase, and the PSC will compensate GA Power with rate increase because people actually took the ad messages to heart and lowered their energy usage.
I want to hear every PSC candidate pledge that if customers use less energy, then GA Power needs to cut back on its own expenses rather than be given a rate hike as compensation.
One thing that will work is for GA Power to follow its own advice: Set it's thermostats in every corporate office to 80 in the Spring and Summer, and 64 in the Fall and Winter months. After all, that will average out to a steady 72 degrees year long.
---
L-E story: "“One of the only things the state can do to directly stimulate the economy is bonding projects,” said Alan Essig, head of the liberal-leaning Georgia Budget and Policy Institute. * “The governor is trying to be fiscally conservative, but in the long run he is hurting the economy rather than helping,” he said. * Not surprisingly, Deal disagrees." -- And that's why Georgians elected Deal versus a DIM&DUMBERat! Liberals are quick to spend other people's money; it's an even bigger ponzi scheme that even Bernie Madoff could conjure up.
---
Can you imagine Lacey Schwimmer and Chas Bono dancing to, and doing a duet of "I got you, babe" on DWTS?
---
Another 'alert' from a fellow BCer: "HERE IS SOME MORE OF YOUR “HOPE AND CHANGE” * WASHINGTON — US officials have approved the distribution of a gay-themed magazine at Army and Air Force bases for the first time, coinciding with the end of a ban on openly gay troops, according to activists. * The upcoming edition will feature photos and biographies of nearly 100 service members who will be openly acknowledging their sexual orientation, the magazine said on its website on Friday." -- This just reinforces why "DADT" came into existence, it why it will be reactivated in the future. Most heterosexuals don't judge a man/woman's worth on their sexual preference, but most of us detest even heterosexuals who thrust their se-xxx-ual activities in our faces!

L-E headline/story: "Mayor Teresa Tomlinson threatens legal action against Decatur Court property owners if crime-ridden complex isn't cleaned up" -- Hmmm, which will she be...Mayor Obamalinson (talk-the-talk) or Mayor Tomlinson (walk-the-walk)? Right off the bat, I did notice she mentioned but one landlord, but another Decatur Court apartment complex landlord was omitted...Chastain Properties.
---
Of course, Council could buy those Decatur Court apartments at an outrageous price and turn it into an "Enterprise Zone", and sit back as having addressed & solved the problem.
---
The Republicans have 4 candidates that you have to look at...Gingrich, Romney, Palin and Perry. Gingrich, Romney, and Palin have to be looked at twice. Perry has a successful run as a current governor making him mighty attractive though not as well known name wise. Newt.. I blame him for much of our current economic condition (even more than potUS O'Blather because we EXPECTED O'Blather to be inept). After leading the 94 Contract with America, Newt abandoned the movement in 1998, and by 2000, there were enough Republican Congresspersons acting like DIM&DUMBERats
that voters started sending them home; unfortunately replacing them with REAL D&D's. Romney could have been our current president, and we'd never know how bad potUS O'Blather is. Romney backed out of the 2008 race because I think he felt Princess Clinton would be the D&D nominee, and he didn't think any Republican could beat her in November, so he left McCain to be the slaughtered. Romney could have beaten O'Blather because the public was well aware of his economic prowess. Then there's Palin... quitting her term as Governor of Alaska just damaged all the credibility she had as a 2012 candidate. It's Perry's to lose.
---
Liberals "soundoff": "Are there no Democrats worthy to be invited to the Cunningham Center? Just curious." -- Answer: Not any we want to influence the future of this country!
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Anything you’re good at contributes to happiness.” — Bertrand Russell, English mathematician-philosopher (1872-1970). " -- Hmmm, no wonder potUS O'Blather is miserable, and America is unhappy.
---
There are 19 "Expressing Appreciation" items on Council's agenda Tuesday for various city employees upon their retirement. There are 0 resolutions expressing appreciation for the taxpayers.
---
How ironic that the government is going to be expressing appreciation of its 19 retirees and expressing condolences for the deaths of 9 former employees at about the same time as Sam Rawls will be remembered across the street. Bet there will be plenty of room in Council chambers.
---
In light of a new century, it probably was a good time and a good thing for Ole Miss to change its nickname/mascot, BUT after all that time, you'd think anyone could come up with a name other than the 'black bears'. The gopher from Caddy Shack would have been better.
---
It's Labor Day Weekend! For some, it signals the last chance (though not here) to frolic before school starts; to some, it's a moment to celebrate the opportunityies God has provided; to some, it's the opening of football and dove seasons; to some, it's a reminder they haven't worked for the past 12 months. Remember all in prayer.
---
UGA got penalized on its first offensive play. I honestly believe that the referee threw the flag on those ugly and OFFENSIVE uniforms.
---
I first wondered why Nike didn't make special "combat uniforms" for its home state Oregon Ducks, BUT how could NIke make any new uniform that was uglier than what the O-Ducks were already planning to wear?
---
Speaking of "u-g-l-y". how about them Boise State orange & blue shoes? man, even the Florida Gators wouldn't wear those!
---
Between UGA's uniforms and Boise State's shoes, I spent most of the night trying to adjust the color balance of my TV. My TV will never be the same.

From online quote site: "The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have." - Vince Lombardi " -- It's time to take these ordinary adages so well known in locker rooms across the nation, and post them in School Administration offices and teachers' lounges in every city.
---
Online story: "Undocumented workers (illegal aliens) collected $4.2 billion in a certain tax credit last year, up from less than $1 billion five years ago, according to a new audit. * Many of those people cannot obtain a Social Security number, so to facilitate this the IRS hands out what are known as Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers -- so illegal workers can file returns. However, in doing so many of those workers are claiming tax benefits like the Additional Child Tax Credit. For some, it's a way of making even more money. * The Additional Child Tax Credit is an offshoot of another tax credit worth up to $1,000 per child. Restrictions for the tax credits were loosened in 2001, and eligibility was temporarily increased by the 2009 stimulus bill. " -- "Temporarily increased" in 2009? Looks like a 'tax increase' on real Americans to pay for it.
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Limbaugh Goes After Frank Rich, Obama" -- That is the headline...the story is that the HuffPost didn't go after Limbaugh for saying what he did. Don't you love it when liberals eat their own?
---
According to a L-E story on the arrest of 2 Harris County School System contracted janitors, the 2 had been cleared in a background search to work at schools. I find it hard to believe that 30-something year old men willing to sell 'crack' to school student on a campus were first time felons. Whoever conducted, or accepted, the background check for the HCSS has some 'splaining to do.
---
The number one problem is that teachers with an attitude that their students are 'victims' and placating them rather than pushing them to achieve is compassionate. If you ingrain in a child that 'he can't' because of his environment or circumstances, by God, he will believe you.
---
How come the new Smith Station HS that just opened is 18% bigger than the new Carver but costs millions of tax dollars less Carver is projected to cost?
---
No wonder Expedia is still fighting the attorneys. It looks like Expedia's situation is one of a criminal nature than a civil one, but class action attorneys can't get big bucks simply by turning over evidence to the State Department of Justice. It appears that the real charge against Expedia should be for either a failure to collect due taxes from the 'end user' OR for failing to turn over revenue collected as taxes to the state for distribution.
---
Online headline: "Comedian Wants to Run for Office" -- Arrggghhhh!. We already have too many lawyers in office; we surely don't need any more clowns!
---
Online headline: "Roger Clemens Will Face Second Perjury Trial" -- Gimme a break! The headline we NEED to see is "Politician will face perjury charges for lying to the public in a campaign speech".
---
Liberal's "soundoff": "Work hard, do without, pay bills on time, and save up for big-ticket items. Result? A low credit score, because lenders don’t like people who don’t borrow money. High scores are bought, not earned. " -- Liberals don't get the concept of having the good self-esteem people get by working hard, and living within their means. To a liberal, having 10 maxxed out credit cards is more important than having a saving account and sleeping well at night.
---
Another liberal's "soundoff": "Instead of a 10-day vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, I spent 10 days at the unemployment office. No success." -- Well, you were no less successful than potUS O'Blather. You got paid for doing nothing productive.
---
That ad by the Nissan dealership "honoring" Sam Rawls is almost vile at a minimum, and too self-serving to be run once, much less twice.
---
Online headline: "US to Sue Slew of Nation's Big Banks" -- potUS O'Blather must not know about this yet (we're always hearing he 'knows nothing' until the staff informs him of it). but since Warren Buffet just invested $5 BILLION in Bank of America, do you feel Buffet will be so interested in paying more in taxes (or being O'Blather's poster child for higher taxes)?

From a Glenn Beck newsletter: "Green bust: Another subsidized solar company touted by Obama goes belly up
Thursday, Sep 1, 2011 at 3:20 PM EDT

Obama has repeatedly touted green jobs as the solution to the ailing economy. Even though Spain proved green technology is not quite ready to shoulder the load, and forcing it too early is disastrous (they bet the farm on green and now have 21% unemployment). But Obama continues to force it, and yet another $535 million dollars went down the drain. Glenn reports on the latest solar company to get huge sums of federal cash only to go belly up.

Obama said, ” The companies like Solyndra are leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future. The true engine of economic grown will always be companies like Solyndra.”

What happened to Solyndra? They’ve gone bankrupt!

“They received $535 million, half a billion dollars in your money,” Glenn said.

“And one year and three months later, bankrupt. Done. Bye-bye. Their employees are now looking for jobs,” Pat explained.

“I don’t even understand that. If you have a $539 million, even if you sell zero solar panels, how do you go out of business?” Stu wondered. -- What I want to know has an investigation begun on where $539 million dollars of your and my money was dispensed over 15 months (that's about $36 million a month).

---

When it comes to statistics, the government thinks a job salary should be based on the number of people in a family rather than the worth of the worker to the job. Is that not Communism 101?
---

Friday, September 2, 2011

This is the first BC in a long. long, long time that isn't being sent to TSam directly, but he's probably already reading it as I punch the "send' icon.
---
Online headline: "Obama Won't Help His Uncle?" -- Doesn't have to do so....Aunti Zeituni's lawyer has already gotten to him, and potUS O'Blather has already gotten to the every judge in Massachusetts.
---
Online headline: "Earthquake Hits Los Angeles Area" -- Ooops, my bad. Figured Maxine Waters was ranting again.
---
Jay Carney says potUS O'Blather's speech on Thursday will be over before the NFL kickoff. I think Carney is a little optimistic...the speech will be over 2 sentences in to it.
---
Glenn Beck says the major rift between taxpayers and politicians is that we don't trust them. I disagree...I actually trust them all, but I trust them to be politicians rather than statesmen, so there is very little I expect to get solved politically.
---
ABC really missed an opportunity years ago when it dismissed Geraldo Rivera and kept Brent Musburger. ABC should have produced the original reality show by locking Geraldo and Musburger in a small room filled with every kind of hand weapon known, and called it "The Network is not big enough for both your egos" and let them settle it.
---
So, GM is outsourcing work to Canada, but justifies it by saying the increased profit would stay in the US. Hmmm, looks like even the UAW is admitting its members are being paid too much for GM to profit on its own.
---
Algore ranted that, if you don't believe in global climate change you are like a racist. Racist? Like so many issues that DIM&DUMBERats place so much emphasis on 'color', has it boiled down to where DIM&DUMBERats now judge you on whether you're dark geen or light green?
---
At a job fair in California sponsored by the Black Caucus had the Reverend Jesse Jackson as its spokesperson. Who would want Jesse Jackson out promoting jobs? Can anyone tell me of a job that Jesse Jackson has ever held that wasn't funded by donations, or created a job for someone who he hasn't gotten pregnant?
---
Online headline: "Maya Angelou: MLK Memorial Makes Him Sound Like 'Arrogant Twit' " --Is it still "Shark Week"? The feeding frenzy is on when liberals eat their own.
---
The Republican 'response' to potUS O'Blather's 'jobs speech' should be given by South Carolina Representative, Joe Wilson; halfway through the speech, Wilson should stand up and yell, "You're still lying!", and all Republicans should quietly just walk out.
---
At a time when potUS O'Blather's popularity among American voters is at a record low, why does potUS O'Blather have a 76% approval rating among Muslims in America?
---

Thursday, September 1, 2011

WRBL headline: "Columbus businessman Sam Rawls dies at 81" -- We're all better for knowing Sam... and Jacquie. We'll miss him dearly, but he'll live in the memories he's created within us.
---
Online "headlie": "Boehner Asks Obama To Delay Major Jobs Speech" -- Wrong! Boehner responded to potUS O'Blather that another time frame was better with such short notice.
---
Online headline: "New York State Declared A Disaster Area By President Obama" -- Ooops my bad. potUS O'Blather was talking about Hurricanette Irene; I thought he finally admitted what a catastrophe Congressman Rangel and Senator Schumer had caused our country.
---
L-E headline: "NYPD monitored where Muslims ate, shopped, prayed" -- Oh! Now we understand why potUS O'Blather would declare NY a disaster area!
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON -- Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) said Wednesday he is considering leaving the Congressional Black Caucus after one of its leaders (Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.), the CBC whip) said Tea Party-backed lawmakers want to see black people lynched. * The Tea Party "really stands for basic constitutional principles" like fiscal responsibility and free enterprise, said the Florida Republican. "I can't see why anyone would not want to agree with that and align themselves with those principles." -- Amen.
---
BRAC is complete. After all the angst, how many children were added to the number of students in the MCSD?
---
L-E headline/story: "Panel: Widespread waste, fraud discovered in wartime spending * The bipartisan commission, created by Congress in 2008, estimated that at least $31 billion and as much as $60 billion has been lost in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past decade due to lax oversight of contractors, poor planning, inadequate competition and corruption. “I personally believe that the number is much, much closer to $60 billion,” Zakheim said." -- Considering what Congress has spent under potUS O'Blather, %60 Billion is almost pocket change. What we really need is a panel of non-politicians looking to the amount of money wasted and fraudulently spent by Congress!
---
Why doesn't the L-E connotate every rant and rave by Judy Brouillette with a byline revealing she is the Treasurer of the Muscogee County DIM&DUMBERats? I suspect donations to the MC D&Ds would dry up if it were known she was handling the money.
---
The only thing the Kick-Off game needs to do to make GA look even worse is for Boise State to run out in uniforms designed like Darth Vader costumes.
---
Another nail in the potUS O'Blather Campaign 2012 coffin: "Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes." - Peter Drucker"
---
Have you noticed the mainstream media, and DIM&DUMBERats in Washington are more interested in the flooding in the New England states than they were when the Mid-Western states were exposed to worse flooding this past Spring?
---
