The Breakfast Club - September 5, 2010

Online headline: "Earthquake Ripped New Fault in Earth" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought potUS Imam-a was out blaming Bush for something else.
---
49....it's a pretty neat number. It's 7 times itself which makes it real lucky; it's the number of times the world has celebrated the birthday of my blessed wife; it's the number of points Mississippi State scored in its opening victory, AND it's the number of points Jax State scored on Ole Miss. Ding-dong-dammit!
---
I guess since people aren't driving their cars as much, and there's less need for ambulance services, the law business must really be 'off', too. Saw a MontLICK & ASSociates ad based on our Northern Little Leagues success locally and nationally. As I recall, Little League, INC prohibits the use of its emblems and players WITHOUT explicit written permission. Hey, you other lawyers...need business...sue MontLICK and ASSociates!
---
With an assist from another BCer, following the 9th arrest of the new season rumor has it that Georgia is changing the mascot's name to thUGA.
---
Online story: "NEW YORK - One of the investors in a proposed Islamic center near ground zero is a Long Island medical clinic owner (Hisham Elzanaty) whose expressions of sympathy for Palestinians included a donation to a charity later shut down for links to Hamas." -- Yeah, it's all about religious freedom.....my (-@-).
---
Online headline: "Pentagon May Send Robotic 'Mule' to War" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought by some fluke, Queen Pelosi had been drafted and sent overseas by potUS Imam-a
---
From the 'it's not one world' department - Online headline: "Iran Orders 99 Lashes for Photo Without Headscarf" -- Is this the kind of 'religious freedom' Muslims want to practice at the Hamas-que?
---
L-E headline: "Fewer Muscogee County students request transfer * Total number falls to 352 this year compared to 611 last year" -- MCSD will spin this like its a good thing, BUT the MCSD won't add that the hoops they contrived for families to have to jump through was done so to intentionally discourage such transfers.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Those who foresee the future and recognize it as tragic are often seized by a madness which forces them to commit the very acts which makes it certain that what they dread shall happen.” — Dame Rebecca West, Irish author and journalist (1892-1983). -- Does this not describe the DIM/DUMBorat philosophy to a "T"?
---
L-E headline: "Lawmaker introduces bill to lower drinking age for military Georgia representative Jack Kingston says if they are old enough to defend county, they are old enough to drink " -- We been down this road..the only thing it really does is reduce the number of under 21 soldiers who'll opt to go to the town around the bases and eat a meal there, and it introduces alcohol to young soldiers while their brains are still developing.
---
L-E headline/story: "Employees pay almost $500 more for health coverage * The premium hike, up 14 percent from last year, means that workers are paying nearly all of a $495 increase in the average cost of family coverage this year. * Over the last five years, workers’ share of premiums has increased by $1,300, or 47 percent, Altman said, while overall coverage costs are up 27 percent. Over the same period, wages climbed 18 percent and general inflation rose 12 percent." -- Welcome to the future of HELL-thSCare, and her's some real truth about inflation that the potUS Imam-a spinmeisters "missed' in covering up.
---
So Leonard (the) Pitts 'likes Mike"...hmmm..it's a shame ol' Leonard doesn't write or think (or for that matter 'feel') like Mike Huckabee.

The Breakfast Club - September 4, 2010

Can't improve this:
Word of warning for the men: Do not take your bride to "Going the distance" thinking you will 'earn points' for suggesting a 'chick flick'. It was a 2 hour torture that may be a better form of torture than 'waterboarding' for extracting terrorist info. In 2 words: trashy and raunchy!
---
Online headline: "Scientists say that the rate at which plants and animals are disappearing could drastically alter life in the future." -- That's assuming, of course, that there will be a future after potUS Imam-a gets through with his plan.
---
From above story: "(Sept. 3) --The rate at which animals and plants are going extinct could drastically alter life in the Earth's seas, according to a new study. * Mass extinctions throughout history have altered the structure of life in the seas, with dominant creatures being toppled and others rushing in to take their place, creating a whole new ecosystem." -- We must have too many scientists in the world if there are enough that have time to dream this contradictory stuff up. Between the ecology sector and Steven Hawkin, God does not exist; what will it take to change their perspective that they are small?
---
Chris Mathews is clamoring for potUS Imam-a to 'get rid' of the TelePrompTers. That's sort of like asking 'The Wizard of Oz' to come out from behind his curtain.
---
L-E headline/story: "Columbus man killed in dispute at Johnston Mill Lofts * Brian Alexander Brown, 33, was pronounced dead at 11:39 a.m. at The Medical Center, Muscogee County deputy coroner Freeman Worley said. * Brown died after being shot in the head during an altercation at Johnston Mill Lofts, an apartment building on First Avenue, Columbus police Sgt. Harvey Hatcher said. * Brown’s body will be sent to the crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy" -- My guess is that the autopsy will disclose 'death by shot in head'...doh!
---
Go, Carver!
---
L-E story: "VANCE — Mercedes-Benz has hired the agency North American On-Site LLC to handle the hiring of more than 400 temporary production employees for its automotive assembly plant in Vance. * The Tuscaloosa News reports that Mercedes says the workers are needed to help the automaker handle a peak in vehicle demand.-- Hmmm, no wonder I feel my wife's car was put together by interns on a Monday morning.
---
GA Power has gone back to the 'PSC trough' ! PSC has already given GA Power one increase to cover construction costs for a new nuclear plant, and now is looking for another one for the same reason. This, in spite of a recent request for an 8.2% rate increase for service costs. If you see a PSC election with an incumbent running, and his/her opponent is nit a DIM/DUMBorat, vote the PSC person out.
---
Economy test? When have you ever filled your gas tank on a Labor Day weekend at prices lower than a month ago?
---
It's not just a game of semantics. The latest unemployment figures demonstrate finitely that the Republicans are indeed "the Party of Know".
---
When potUS Imam-a says he believes the country is moving in the right direction, he honestly believes it. Of course, it's not the right direction for recovery, but that is not his plan.
---
L-E headline: "Clinton says time is now for peace in the Middle East " -- Hmmm, wouldn't you like it if she had mention that November 2 will be the time for change in America?
---
L-E headline/story: "Jobs report better than forecast * WASHINGTON — The unemployment rate went up slightly to 9.6 percent in August as employers shed 54,000 jobs during the month, the Labor Department said Friday in a jobs report that nonetheless provided a surprise in better-than-expected private-sector and temporary hiring. * Much of the net job loss was the result of census workers exiting payrolls, as their work was complete. The narrower number for private-sector hiring showed that 67,000 jobs were added in companies and corporations, down from July’s 107,000 but above what mainstream forecasters had expected." -- If not for the McClatcy byline, I would have thought this was a Robert Gibbs 'spin'. When you reach the bottom of the barrel, does it matter whether you are on the bottom or top of the bottom of the barrel?
---
L-E story: "ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia football program finished the 2010 off season with nine players being arrested, including one on the final day. " -- It all starts with recruiting.

The Breakfast Club - September 3, 2010

It looks like the only campaign promise potUS Imam-a will keep is the one where he said, "America is the best country in the world; help me change it".
---
Online headline: "Hawking: Universe Didn't Need God to Begin * 'Laws of physics are all that's necessary for creation'" -- Oh ye of little faith....who created the principles of physics that became the 'laws of physics'?
---
Headline correction: "God doesn't need Hawking"
---
Online headline/story: "Magnetic Mom Attracts Metal and the Media * A recent report in The Sun states the bizarre British woman can hold coins, safety pins and magnets to her head and chest for nearly 45 minutes, and her presence can blow light bulbs and set off car alarms.-- Well, she's lucky she doesn't live in Washington, DC and have a magnetic attraction to animal excrement.
---
With Kareem Lane and Michael Curry finally under investigative wraps for old crimes, why is Carlton Gary still with us?
---
It was interesting that the 'greenie' killed at the hostage situation at the Discovery Channel headquarters was an avid Algore devotee, and that went literally unmentioned in the main stream news channels.
---
L-E headline: "More Democrats buck plan to let taxes increase for rich
* 1-year extension likely, but foes fear it will make Bush cuts permanent " -- You mean there are actually DIM/DUMBorats who understand that working people all pay taxes, and they are tired of paying more than their share?
---
What's with our Department of Justice? They should be suing the states that aren't trying to clean up the illegal immigration problem!
---
You know, why don't we just cut California loose from the US. Think about how that would effect legisaltion for the good by redistributing California's electoral and Congressional votes to the other states....
---
Before they build the traffic circle Council is entertaining, should there at least be a poll to see if anyone wants to rebuild the old Traffic Circle out on Victory Drive?
---
L-E headline: " Sign of hope: Mideast leaders agree to more talks" -- Huh? Talk is cheap, and politicians are long winded.. of course they will agree to talk; it gives them more time to spew their rhetoric. Action..well that's a totally different story.

The Breakfast Club - September 2, 2010

A company in China started running billboard ads on Princess Di's 13th 'anniversary' of her death promoting lingerie on a Princess Di look-alike. The Princess Diana Appreciation Society is incensed. So incensed that it has caused ti whole world to become aware of the billboards. The lingerie company is laughing its way all the way to the Briar Patch bank.
---
The Senate race in California could be a slugfest measuring the effect of Boxer's 'left jabs' countered by Fiorina's 'right punch'.
---
From "the sky is falling' department - Online story: "(Sept. 1) -- Jamestown, Va., the site of the first permanent English colony in what became the United States, could be wiped off the map by climate change, researchers warned today. * As the polar ice caps melt, rising sea levels could completely swamp the historical location that has stood as an icon of American history for the past 400 years, according to a new study by the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Rocky Mountain Climate Organization." -- Jamestown has "weathered'' well for over 400 years, and the only man-made threat it really has to 'weather' for the future is whenever DIM/DUMBorats rule the nation.
---
Online story: "(Sept. 1) -- A New York man plunged 39 stories from a Manhattan apartment building and crash-landed on a parked sports car. The car was totaled, but the man survived." -- Geez! It was 'an apparent suicide attempt'. Now we can expected a 'wrongful life extension' law suit against the man who parked his car there.
---
Rumor has it that the developer of the Ground Zero Hamas-que has applied for use of tax-free US development bonds. Blow your representatives ears off in opposition for tax payers to be funding this mental assault on American history!
---
Saw a Ford F-150 yesterday as I was going to work. It was decked out with a big 24 back window decal, and dual side window flags with the number 24 fluttering hard as he drove along. I'm guessing he's a big Jeff Gordon fan, but shouldn't a true Jeff Gordon fan be driving a Chevy?
---
If the school zone flashing lights are going to be flashing regardless of when children are arriving/departing schools, shouldn't there be school crossing guards present when those lights are flashing?
---
What is it with the 'quit smoking aides'? I've 'quit' smoking 3 times without any 'aides' except God's reassurances. I quit smoking cigarettes for '1 year' on my 30th birthday. Went through a divorce and lost 1 pound during that year, and on my 31st b'day, bought a fresh carton of my old brand and lit one up. It was the worst tasting thing I'd ever put in my mouth so I swore never to tell anyone I smoked because I enjoyed the taste. Quit again shortly before my 42nd b'day. Just decided it was time. No ceremony, no turning back. In the mid-90's, I started smoking good cigars. When my wife decided she was going to quit smoking cigarettes 7 years ago, I quit my cigars in support. She had previously "tried" to stop several times, but had never tried because it was what she wanted. This is the key to quitting, you quit because you want to quit, and no 'smoking aide' will help with that. If anyone is still smoking, and wants to quit, e-mail me, and I will give you a couple of tips at how you can help yourself accomplish this.

The Breakfast Club - September 1, 2010

Online headline: "President Says It's 'Time to Turn the Page * 'We have met our responsibility' " -- Well, if potUS Imam-a wants to tirade cliches, then I'll cite Tonto in response, "What do you mean 'we' ?"
---
Online headline: "Stalled Jobs Bill Killing Small-Business Hiring" - Wrong! Small business is waiting in expectation of a November celebration of a return to sanity.
---
Online headline: "Paris Hilton Looking at Hard Time if Convicted of Cocaine Possession" -- Yeah, like what, 4 weeks of having to wash her own hair and paint her own nails?
---
From the 'only in California' department: "BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Aug. 31) -- A doctor involved in an "on-again, off-again" relationship apparently tried to force her way into her boyfriend's home by sliding down the chimney, police said Tuesday. Her decomposing body was found there three days later." -- What else can I add?
---
Online story: "US car and light vehicle sales probably reached a 28-year low in August, their worst level since the same month in 1982." -- Whew! Glad this was the "Summer of Recovery". You can bet Robert Gibbs will be "spinning his wheels" trying to get potUS Imam-a out of the ditch.
---
Oh! Oh! Heard a rumor the other day: Government Motors is about to offer a new car soon. It's called the O'Bummer. It's suppose to be run by 'hot air', but it will be considered 'green' only because it won't work at all.
---
WTVM9 story: "The Columbus Office of Crime Prevention asked the city to approve three new programs. * The office said it wants to put nearly $70,000 towards one-year initiatives within the Juvenile Drug Court. * It proposed in home counseling, GPS monitoring, and psychological evaluations, all of which were approved in Tuesday's city work session." -- Excuse me, but how are these "Crime Prevention" issues? These are things done AFTER a crime has been committed.
---
Why do we have TSA inspections at our airports if political correctness handicaps inspections? In Chicago, two Arabs changed flights at the last moment, the plane returned to the terminal to remove their luggage for inspection. The luggage had box cutters/ knives multiple cell phones strapped together, and one cell phone strapped to a bottle of Pepto Bismol , BUT TSA deemed the goods 'legal" and passed the luggage so it was returned to the flight to the Netherlands. If WASP me had done so, I'd have been put under the jail!
---
Looking back at last week, it's rather unnerving to realize North Korea respects Jimmy Carter....why?
---
Hurricane Earl is just a precursor to when the tsunami of elections hit Washington in November.
---
L-E story: "NEW YORK — Lindsay Lohan wants your respect." -- Well. Ms Lohan, earn it!
---
L-E story: " HONOLULU — A rare deep-diving whale rescued from a Maui beach earlier this month has died after spending two weeks at a dolphin and whale hospital on Hawaii’s Big Island, federal officials said Monday. " -- Excuse me? A "dolphin and whale hospital"? There's actually a "dolphin and whale hospital"? We are paying for a "dolphin and whale hospital"? How can people be so dumb as to ever vote for, much less actually elect, a DIM/DUMBorat?
---
L-E headline: "Councilors claim design for city service center lacks ‘personality’ " -- "Personality"? I think it's more of a case of lacking integrity.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The FBI probe of two men arrested in Amsterdam after suspicious items turned up in one of the men’s luggage is finding they were probably not on a test run for a future terror attack, a U.S. official said Tuesday. " -- DOH! Why in the world does the FBI think anyone would tape a cell phone to a bottle of Pepto Bismol, place it in his luggage, then get off the plane it's packed in if not to see the reaction of the FBI? Hurry November, we need a new director of the FBI appointed that has no connection to potUS Imam-a!
---
Judy Frazer Brouillette... how embarrassing it must be to be related to her.
---
It's ironically sad that Phenix City thinks its past is its future.

The Breakfast Club - August 31, 2010

Online headline: "Analysis: Obama 'Resigned' to Being Wartime President" -- Ooops, my bad! Whew, thought for a minute I'd woken up to POTUS Biden.
---
Online headline: "Obama: GOP Holding Small Business Bill 'Hostage" -- No...the hold up it lack of potUS Iman-a's leadership to win over just a few/ even a lot, of Republican Senators by giving credibility to their concerns. Besides, potUS Imam-a spent his vacation golfing and swimming at Martha's Vineyard rather than trying to win some Republicans over.
---
Speaking of such, how do DIM/DUMBorats know which buttons to push to get elected, then absolutely forget those issues the day after an election?
---
Are you more incensed at Roger Clemens lying to Congress or Congress lying to us? The Senate wouldn't even convict POTus Clinton for lying to the world about Monica.
---
Online headline: "Iran Calls French First Lady 'Prostitute' Over Stoning Issue" -- Sounds like somebody in Iran was already 'stoned'.
---
L-E headline/story: "Director of Columbus' Aaron Cohn Regional Youth Detention Center among 15 arrested in gambling raid * Jimmie Lee Hooks III, 31, director of the Aaron Cohn Regional Youth Detention Center, was charged with gambling * Also arrested was Joseph Keith Foster, 53, who was executive director of the Community Alliance, an organization associated with the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department’s Innovative Sports Program and its Blazers sports teams." -- No wonder two of the highest crime sectors abutted the Comer Auditorium where the Blazers played!
---
Looks like the Executive Director of Crime Prevention should take over the hiring department for the city.
---
potUS Imam'a is proud of sending 30 National Guard soldiers to Arizona; why, so they can be moving targets for the huge drug gangs that move through there? Heck, I bet potUS Imam-a's wife had more that 30 Secret Service agents surrounding her when she went biking on Martha's Vineyard.
---
Welcome back, welcome home Northern LL. Wow, a youth program that made Columbus proud.
---
Don't get me wrong, everyone's life is important, but why does the L-E run a story on a 20 year old killed while riding his motorcycle, and happens to like snakes, but ignore the passing of community leaders like John Holder who had a tremendous record of community service?
---
L-E story: "SEATTLE — Parents pulled their children out of class and protested outside a Washington state school Monday, the day a teacher convicted of inappropriately touching female students was scheduled to return to work." -- Liberals!!! At least in GA, sex offenders cannot get within 1000 feet of schools and playgrounds.
---
L-E headline: "U.S. grapples with bedbugs, misuse of pesticides " -- But not for long! We get to vote'm out in 2 months!
---
From a fellow BCer: "This economy is SO BAD that when I went to Walmart to buy a toaster, my FREE GIFT WAS A BANK! "
---
Online headline: "U.S. Drivers Get a Big Break at the Gas Pump" -- Ooops, my bad! Figured some entrepreneur had figured a way to direct DIM/DUMBorat 'methane gas' into our cars,
---
L-E headline: "Big Brother 12 Episode 23: Who did Head of Household Lane Elenburg nominate for eviction? _- Ooops, my bad! Thought potUS Imam'a's Housing Tsar had chosen between Pelosi and Biden.
---
What does having one's birth certificate plastered on one's forehead have to do with whether you are a Christian, Muslim or other? Somebody should tell potUS Imam-a that one's actions of servitude determine the facts.
---
Looks like Iraq is going to learn what our big cities have learned when their NBA team has won a championship; you're going to get looted when the US Army is not guarding your streets.
---
The Taliban is now claiming it wants the Hamas-que at Ground Zero to fail so it becomes a recruiting tool. Last time I heard such a vacant plea was when Br'er Rabbit was trying to get Br'er Bear & Br'er Fox to do anything - cook him, skin him, eat him - anything, but please don't fling him into that Briar Patch.
---
L-E story: "NEW YORK — Levi Johnston chose one of his favorite television venues, CBS’ “The Early Show,” to declare on Friday that he lied when he previously said he had lied about Sarah Palin." -- Johnson's version of the truth is he lied about lying? Levi Johnston has just proven he's qualified to become a DIM/DUMBorat candidate for a potUS Imam-a cabinet post or Press Agent.
---
L-E's "QUOTABLE": “Facts and truth really don’t have much to do with each other.” William Faulkner American author (1897-1962)" -- What a reminder as potUS Imam-a asks that we digest the facts about his religious beliefs.
---
L-E story: "WARSAW, Poland — Solidarity founder Lech Walesa shunned several of the movement’s 30th anniversary sessions Monday, saying he is tired and disillusioned with the Polish trade union’s current state. * The 66-year-old Walesa, who was Poland’s president from 1990-95, said he is unhappy with Poland’s politics and economy today and with Solidarity itself, because the trade union is getting too involved in daily politics." -- Now here is a man, a hero, that potUS Imam-a should hire as an advisor.
---
L-E headline: " New athletic director says UGA must find way to stop player arrests " -- Well, it starts at recruiting, and after that a 10:30 curfew/lockdown helps.
---
L-E headline: "Louisiana-Lafayette will get $875,000 for playing at Athens " -- Why don't they just cancel a game no one cares about and save the $875K for student education, AND eliminate an opportunity for a career ending injury?
---
L-E story: WASHINGTON — Americans are spending a little more this summer, but hardly enough to rejuvenate the weakening economy. " -- It's the INFLATION, stupid!
-----------------------

Monday, August 30, 2010

The Breakfast Club - August 30, 2010

Online story: "NEW ORLEANS (Aug. 29) -- President Barack Obama says he isn't worried about a recent poll showing that nearly one-fifth of Americans believe he is a Muslim. * Obama, who is a Christian, says "the facts are the facts." -- Yes, 'facts ARE facts", and the fact is that potUS Imam-a does give doubt to his claims by his actions and words. Besides, when was the last time he honored his faith by action? This year alone, he's snubbed the National Day of Prayer, the Boy Scouts of America's 100th Jubilee, and Arlington National Cemetery for Memorial Day (though he's probably not worthy of being there anytime).
---
The TV Guide channel has reached the point that if it sent out a broadcast rating, my v-chip would 'block' it. It's getting so we cannot look to see what's on and on what channel when our children are in the room with us.
---
From a fellow BCer: An idea that time has come to implement ....Let's replace full-body scanners at the airports with a booth that will detonate any explosive device you have on you.
---
Online headline: "New Pics Of Titanic Emerge" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN had covered the Glenn Beck :Restore Honor" rally, and they actually covered it.
---
Frank Thomas, baseball memory....at Peach LL, Columbus High, Auburn, Chicago, and the World! Would have been nice of the L-E covered the ceremony in person.
---
A man behind his apartment complex was shot 4 times when someone tried to rob him of his bag of "CD's". "Cocaine Dust"?
---
It ain't about religious freedom...the Hamas-que, that is.
---
L-E headline: " Millions wasted rebuilding Iraq " -- See? Government T.A.R.P's and bailouts don't work in other countries either!
---
L-E headline/story: " Mexico to up security in border city after blasts * NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico — Mexico’s government on Sunday promised to increase security after a series of explosive devices were detonated in the border city of Reynosa and said it would step up efforts to identify more of the 72 migrants massacred last week." -- Nuevo Laredo, Mexico? That's where the Mexican team in the Little League World Series was from, and most of the town was in Pennsylvania....legally. What's the Mexican government going to do, make sure they don't get back?
---
The only real test the education system needs to be focused on is whether or not students who graduate are ready for Real Life 101, whether it be college or work or life in general.
---
potUS Imam-a didn't want to attend the Little League World Series so he sent VPOTUS Biden to 'throw out the first glitch'.
------------------------------------------------------
