Online headline: "Rep. Carl Gilliard Urges Descendants of the Original 33 to Contact His Office" --  Hmmm ..you know, I remember reading that all those "33" 1868 GA representatives who were removed from office were all Republicans?

---

Congrats to Columbus GA's Mykel Williams, former UGA for being the Number 11 NFL Draft Pick.. Too bad he was drafted by San Francisco rather than the Atlanta Falcons, but it's still exciting.

---

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Columbus GA city councilors’ attorney responds to letter from city manager’s attorney" --  It's an absolute shame that the four Councilors NOT TARGETED by "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley didn't stand with and  support the 6 that were..

---

Online headline: "Catholic group pushes for censure of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene" --  Hmmm...and where was this group when JoKKKe Biden was flaunting "heresy" ?

---

Online headline: "60 percent of Americans believe the country is ‘on the wrong track’ as trust in Supreme Court plummets" --  Hmmm .. if 60% of Americans believe "the country is on the wrong track", it's either because the poll was limited to  CNN/MSNBC staff members, or...  it was 60% of American citizens who KNOW Democrats aren't helping America become GREAT AGAIN.

---

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Columbus residents and leaders tour community projects in the city" --  What a misconception of how government can actually "help" low income families! Making government intrusion bigger is not one of them . The most effective ways government can help is "reduce taxes", "make streets safer", and "by not imposing so many regulations on job providers that they spend too much money on compliance rather than on more jobs/higher wages". Too boot, the reporter said that if government grant money weren't given, local taxpayers would have to foot the bill.. Wait a minute... government grants ARE confiscated from local taxpayers, too!

---

WTVM-TV9 story: "Columbus Civic organizations (NAACP & Columbus Interdenominational Alliance) gathered last week for a Town Hall meeting to discuss plans for the coalitions to unite and consolidate Black voters behind candidates ahead of the 2026 local elections in Muscogee County." -- Excuse me, but non-inclusive organizations gathering to create a bloc vote movement does not come across as unifying for the our community. It especially saddens me that a self-claimed religious organization would participate in such a non-inclusionary event.... I imagine Jesus weeps.

What the heck is Zelenskyy thinking? If Ukraine were capable of producing the weapons to combat Russia effectively, his obstinacy in negotiating would be understandable .. but Ukraine isn't so equipped... Don’t know what "really happened" that Russia resumed bombing Ukraine last night, but it may just be that Zelenskyy just doesn't want his "power" to end.

Online headline: "John F. Kennedy's grandson Jack Schlossberg starts feud with his former Vogue boss Anna Wintour" -- This headline itself, "John F. Kennedy's grandson, Jack Schlossberg, starts feud with his former Vogue boss Anna Wintour" sums up Jack Schlossberg 's irrelevance in life . If he was relevant at all, the headline would have been, "Jack Schlossberg, Grandson of John F. Kennedy, Announces His New Business Direction".

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Columbus faces lifeguard shortage as pools prep to reopen" -- Perhaps qualified lifeguards are going to wait until they actually SEE the pools open.. they've been constantly disappointed… and jobless… for years!

Online headline: "Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic Relocates To A New Host City: A New Chapter Begins" --  Oh! the Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic is "relocating"... hmmm..  so that's how "getting the "h" out of River City is going to be "sold" locally....

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Legal Break - Changing Names and Voting Rights" --  Good grief! My bride took our marriage license and had no problems getting her voting records or driver's license changed... You'd think any lawyer would know this....

---

Online headline: "Ban on cell phones in Georgia’s early grades awaits governor’s signature" --  Hey.... kids in elementary school should not have cell phones... taking those away is good ..in fact removing parents who give elementary kids cellphones is not such a bad idea, either ..

Online headline: "Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown receives Level III Neonatal Care Facility designation" --  Congratulations Piedmont Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.... especially all the nurses that reassure new parents (and grandparents) their new gifts are safe.

---

Online headline: "Columbus GA Mayor Skip Henderson addresses speculation that City Manager Isaiah Hugley could run for mayor next year" -Hmmm ....  me thinks Mayor Skippy must have attended a Kamala Harris Speech Seminar to learn how to make "Word Salad" speeches... and got an "A+".

---

Online headline: "Confederate symbols are still in places across the US. Activists still want them gone" --  Erasing history, whether by removing statues or rewriting history books,  leaves no reminders of how things have changed from then to now.. but I do have issues with American citizens, foreign immigrants, and illegal aliens flying flags from countries we have engaged in war protecting OUR FLAG and OUR FREEDOM. Our veterans and memories of those who died defending America deserve better!

Online headline: "Michelle Obama is tarnishing her legacy by admitting she would rather practice the art of saying ‘No’ than do the right thing" --"Practicing the art"? I'd say she pretty much has it DOWN to an art...

---

Online headline: "ICE Arrest Virginia Man in Court Despite Judge Dropping Charges Against Him" -- Wait a minute!  A county or low level judge cannot dismiss federal charges ... like ILLEGALLY BEING IN OUR COUNTRY!

---

Online headline: "Activist Danielle Moodie Calls for National Strike Against ‘Trumpism’: ‘We’re Running Out of Time to Save Democracy" -- "Save Democracy"?  Hmmm...let me  think...didn't November's election extol Democracy to the HILT? Trump won the popular vote by 2 Million votes; he won the Electoral College vote by 312 to 226; he won 31 of the 50 states; and he won 85% of our nations counties. That's a perfect example of democracy at work for all the people... Hmmm.. maybe “activist Danielle Moodie” should form a protest band to deliver her message… she could call it the “Moodie BLUES”…

---

Online headline: "NY attorney general’s lawyer urges Justice Dept. to reject Trump official’s call for criminal probe" --  Of course her lawyers URGE the DOJ to stop investigating! She's guilty as hell, and has illegally prosecuted as the NY Atty General  because she claimed her primary residence was in Virginia, not NY as required.

---

Speaking of “primary residences”, why hasn’t GA ..or even the US Congress Ethics Committee … charged the Sanford Bishop, D-GA2,  family of having two residences in two of his Districts’ counties with H1 homestead exemptions?

---

Also speaking of Congressman Bishop, he just held his annual Golf fund raising event this week, and again used a golf facility that’s not in his District.. I would think he would want to improve the economy in District before generating facility revues in a Republican represented district…

---

Just thinking about the ambiguousness of reading that school zone speed cameras could be working when blinking lights are not blinking.. because the sign says what the limit is when it's light ARE blinking. Technically, if fines are being levied when the lights are NOT BLINKING, then that makes the school zones "Speed Traps", not safety devices… especially since the Columbus GA Police and Sheriff’s Departments are benefitting from the revenue generated.

---

Columbus GA Council is right about City Officials not being transparent... the latest issue features our City Manager, and it needs to be resolved... but there's also a lack of transparency in our violent crime reports... A solution would be to require the CPD to give an updated  number for the murders for the calendar year every time there is a murder. Also, there should be a constantly updated  incident report to keep records of how many gun shot incidences we're having so that citizens can be kept abreast  of the how dangerous certain areas are.

---

Oh! Make sure Mayor Skippy gets his copy of this:   Update on the Oglethorpe Bridge rebuilding project crossing the Chattahoochee River by "formerly known as Historic Golden Park".. It was announced in Spring of 2021, and now, after dual-state (GA & AL) negotiations, the contract will be "let” in Spring of 2028, and construct starting soon afterwards.. When you think about how the Buena Vista Road Spiderweb bridge is affecting existing businesses in that area, what businesses will want to build a new business venture near the South Commons baseball area. Construction is about to start on a major "government assist apartment complex at the entrance of  the Civic Center, and will probably take 18-24 months then the bridge razing will start in 2028 followed by reconstruction...

Online headline: "AOC's brother is forced to deny link to huge fentanyl trafficking crime" --  Hmmm...everybody is so used to Democrats lying every time they speak, now Dems are having a tough time getting anyone to believe them when they deny other's claims.

Thursday, April 24, 2025

Online headline: "Fact Check: Don't believe rumor AOC's brother was arrested, charged for trafficking fentanyl Source: Snopes" --  You know, SNOPES is not exactly  the source for a Fact Check in which you should put your trust .

---

Online headline: "Mexico’s president hits back at US anti-immigration ads, calls them ‘discriminatory propaganda" -- Hmmm.... Mexico's policy about foreigners without passports is:  "Foreigners entering Mexico must have a valid passport. Without a passport, entry may be denied, as it is a requirement for all travelers" ... Hmmm... then it looks like the USA has a right to send all those Tren de Aragua & MS-13 criminals to Mexico for President Pardon to handle because she nor her predecessor allowed most of them to enter Mexico as guests without passports, but she should not have allowed them to leave through our border.

---

I resent media using the word "immigrant" in a wrongful manner... say when MSM.. including Fox News... uses "immigrant" when it means "illegal alien". Here is how our government defines "immigrant”:

"In the United States Immigration and Nationality Act, an immigrant is an individual seeking to become a Lawful Permanent Resident in the United States." --  Key note: it starts with "lawful entry".

---

Here's is a good example of media misuse of the term "immigrant": Online headline: "Venezuelan immigrant in Detroit makes a wrong turn at Ambassador Bridge, is deported" -- I repeat: "In the United States Immigration and Nationality Act, an immigrant is an individual seeking to become a Lawful Permanent Resident in the United States."

The 6 Columbus GA Council members' response to the letter City Manager "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley's attorney directed at them was a "GRAND SLAM"! But what I've deducted from the exchange is that the other 4 Councilors not mentioned in Hugley's letter of intimidation also did not sign on in support of the other 6 Councilors' letter of response. They come across as Hugley's sycophants... Those 4 should have been offended at the City Manager obviously considering them his "lap dogs".   I do not see how those 4 (Huff, Allen, Walker, and Chambers) can sit back on their haunches and not support the other 6 Councilors. Mayor Skippy the Poo... he just stuck his head back down  into the "honey pot"...but who expected anything different...

Oh, maybe I'm wrong, but based on what has been said from Hugley's camp is that the City Attorney advised him on the way to bypass Council's approval of that grant... but I also know that's not how the City Charter says things should have been done.

---

WTVM-TV9 online headline: " Public voices concerns over construction impact (at the “Spiderweb”) and more at Columbus GA council meeting" --  Well .. when you want a deluxe omelet, you have to break some eggs.. This is a forerunner of what will also happen around "formerly Historic Golden Park" businesses & DEVELOPMENTS when Oglethorpe Bridge is razed and rebuilt...

Online headline/story: "Ethics watchdog accuses Raphael Warnock of accepting 'rent free' housing *  The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), an ethics watchdog group, on Monday demanded the Senate investigate Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., for allegedly accepting free housing. * Sen. Warnock has served as a senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta since 2005. The church, according to the letter, purchased a nearly $1 million home in 2022 which Sen. Warnock lived in “rent free.” * The senator failed to report this, as well as other outside income from the church, in his financial reports, according to the letter. This, FACT argued, violates Senate prohibition on gifts and financial disclosure requirements." --  Hmmmm... So this is what the “more equal” Democrats consider "affordable housing"....

---

Online headline: "Warnock likens Abrego Garcia (a.k.a. Maryland Man)  to ‘immigrant’ Jesus" --  Hmmm... well....if you tilt your head a little more to the LEFT....squint just so,   then you might  see a smidge truth in what SINator Warnock said... Well, you could also interpret that Warnock really only means that compared to himself, Garcia could be more like Jesus than he is.

Online headline: "‘The View’: Whoopi ‘Insulted’ by Trump-Backed $5,000 Baby Bonus Because You ‘Can’t Even Go to the Hospital’ for That" -- Good grief! Whoopi needs to change her name to "Poopi"! What new Mom & Dad Americans wouldn't appreciate a $5,000.00 gift to prepare for bringing home their new baby? Wait a minute... if I know "Poopi", then we can assume she's more PO'd off that tranny women won't be able to claim a $5,000.00 "new birthed baby" gift!

WRBL-TV3 online headline: "Columbus GA Parks and Rec gives update on pools at city council meeting" -- Excuse me.... but why are not all the pools ready NOW! All these pools were suppose to be ready last summer, but that didn't happen.. and then Mayor Skippy the Poo diverted effort and interest into formerly known as "historic Golden Park" by spending $50 million in taxpayer funded  bonds...  and .without asking the taxpayers for permission. Besides, "once known as "Historic Golden Park" was built with non-city employees... so there is absolutely no legitimate reason that Mayor Skippy the Poo,  and City Manager "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley  don't have the pools already ready to go...

Below a MUST READ letter… while it’s a Columbus, GA specific as a direct  response to the current City Manager’s attempt at intimidating 6 specific Councilors, but really aimed at all 10 Council members from pursuing accountability of his actions, every voter in every city, county, and state would benefit from her clarity in dealing with politicians/officials run amok! Toyia Tucker…  if she hadn’t thought about it previously, should give great consideration to seek the Mayoral position  of Columbus in the next race. I’ve been a fan of hers since her first attempt at wanting to serve the citizens of Columbus, GA in 2018…

“OpEd Title: Power Without Accountability Is Not Leadership—It’s Control

 By Councilwoman Toyia Tucker

Apparently, absolute power doesn’t just corrupt absolutely—it also comes with a tailor-made suit, a flattering title, and a sudden allergy to accountability.

Somewhere along the line, public service for some has become synonymous with entitlement. What starts as a call to serve quickly transforms into a desire to rule—trading humility for hubris, and turning what should be a seat at the table into a crown on a throne. And once that crown feels comfortable, the mission shifts: it’s no longer about the people, it’s about preserving the position.

Let me be clear: I don’t write this from the sidelines—I write this as someone in the arena. I am an elected official, and with that comes a truth I fully embrace: I too must be held accountable. Because accountability isn’t an insult—it’s a responsibility. It’s what separates leadership from control, service from self-interest, and democracy from something far more dangerous.

Power without accountability isn’t strength—it’s ego in disguise. When leaders, whether elected or appointed, begin labeling scrutiny as attacks, showing hostility toward differing voices, or silencing those who challenge them, they are no longer leading—they are managing dissent. And when managing dissent becomes the priority, governing ends.

Real leadership doesn’t stifle voices—it elevates them. It doesn’t flinch at critique—it welcomes it. Because leadership, at its core, is about listening, evolving, and remembering who gave us the privilege to lead in the first place.

I’ve seen what happens when government forgets that. Public trust erodes. Cynicism grows. And the space for progress becomes suffocated by the need to control. That’s not just ineffective—that’s dangerous. It’s how political monarchs are born in a country that was never meant to have them.

If we want stronger communities, we need stronger commitments to transparency, to honesty, and to the kind of leadership that lifts people up—not locks them out. And that starts with all of us, in every seat of power, recommitting to the truth: we are here to serve, not to rule.

Whether elected or appointed, no one is above accountability. And the moment we believe we are is the moment we no longer deserve the title.”

Wane Hailes, publisher at Courier Eco Latino, is at it again! Now he writes: “What Are We Feeding Our Black Men? * ” * Let’s talk about our young Black men—not to criticize, but to care, to reflect, and to challenge ourselves as a community. * Because let’s be clear: there’s a crisis happening right before our eyes. And it’s not just about crime statistics, discipline issues, sagging pants, or how “these boys today have no respect.” That’s surface-level stuff. The real issue runs much deeper. The question we need to be asking is: What are we feeding them? *  And no, I’m not just talking about food—although, we’ll get to that. I’m talking about the spiritual food, the emotional food, the cultural food, and yes, the physical food we’re offering to this generation of boys who are trying to become men in a world that often denies them the space or guidance to do so.” – Hmmm… In a few words, what Hailes feeds is “Too Much BS!” Hey.. I’m not talking about the expected meaning of “BS”, I mean “Too Much Black Sympathy!”… for simply being Black.  Young street “wise” children  are not being “fed” reality or facts… all young men..and young ladies, too, of all colors need to be "fed" a diet of “there are Consequences for good as well as bad  actions”; they need to be “fed”… that hard work and perseverance can overcome the worst of circumstances; they need to be “fed”.. especially from the pulpit, that the 10 Commandments should be their guide to living; they need to be “fed” skin color does not determine one’s enemies or one’s friends; they need to be “fed” that respect is earned by one’s actions, and they need to be “fed” that they, too, are valuable! Hailes does not preach any of  this…

The report comes after several high-profile companies, including Amazon , Meta and YouTube, have sponsored the annual Easter Egg roll at the White House - and on the same day Pope Francis died" -- What political bias! President TRUTH has saved millions of dollars in what would have been tax dollars spent by bringing in private sector sponsors (none of which supported his candidacy), and eviscerated the long planned date of the Easter Egg event because the Pope unexpectedly died, Now, if Biden had done the same as Trump, Hobbs would have extolled Biden's vision to save tax dollars and honor the Pope! Now, if Hobbs wanted to expound on what he considers "unethical", he could have written volumes on Meta/Facebook alone for banning conservatives from posting in the past.

What a difference time makes! This week, Sen Chuck Schumer labeled Republican President TRUTH as a “lawless, angry man”. A few years ago, Schumer tripped over his own tongue praising the  future president, by telling the “The Apprentice” contestants he always knew Trump, even as a young person, "was going to go places." Now it seems HELL is the only place Schumer wants to send him…
