Online headline: "Rep. Carl Gilliard Urges Descendants of the Original 33 to Contact His Office" --  Hmmm ..you know, I remember reading that all those "33" 1868 GA representatives who were removed from office were all Republicans?

---

Congrats to Columbus GA's Mykel Williams, former UGA for being the Number 11 NFL Draft Pick.. Too bad he was drafted by San Francisco rather than the Atlanta Falcons, but it's still exciting.

---

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Columbus GA city councilors’ attorney responds to letter from city manager’s attorney" --  It's an absolute shame that the four Councilors NOT TARGETED by "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley didn't stand with and  support the 6 that were..

---

Online headline: "Catholic group pushes for censure of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene" --  Hmmm...and where was this group when JoKKKe Biden was flaunting "heresy" ?

---

Online headline: "60 percent of Americans believe the country is ‘on the wrong track’ as trust in Supreme Court plummets" --  Hmmm .. if 60% of Americans believe "the country is on the wrong track", it's either because the poll was limited to  CNN/MSNBC staff members, or...  it was 60% of American citizens who KNOW Democrats aren't helping America become GREAT AGAIN.

---

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Columbus residents and leaders tour community projects in the city" --  What a misconception of how government can actually "help" low income families! Making government intrusion bigger is not one of them . The most effective ways government can help is "reduce taxes", "make streets safer", and "by not imposing so many regulations on job providers that they spend too much money on compliance rather than on more jobs/higher wages". Too boot, the reporter said that if government grant money weren't given, local taxpayers would have to foot the bill.. Wait a minute... government grants ARE confiscated from local taxpayers, too!

---

WTVM-TV9 story: "Columbus Civic organizations (NAACP & Columbus Interdenominational Alliance) gathered last week for a Town Hall meeting to discuss plans for the coalitions to unite and consolidate Black voters behind candidates ahead of the 2026 local elections in Muscogee County." -- Excuse me, but non-inclusive organizations gathering to create a bloc vote movement does not come across as unifying for the our community. It especially saddens me that a self-claimed religious organization would participate in such a non-inclusionary event.... I imagine Jesus weeps.

What the heck is Zelenskyy thinking? If Ukraine were capable of producing the weapons to combat Russia effectively, his obstinacy in negotiating would be understandable .. but Ukraine isn't so equipped... Don’t know what "really happened" that Russia resumed bombing Ukraine last night, but it may just be that Zelenskyy just doesn't want his "power" to end.

Online headline: "John F. Kennedy's grandson Jack Schlossberg starts feud with his former Vogue boss Anna Wintour" -- This headline itself, "John F. Kennedy's grandson, Jack Schlossberg, starts feud with his former Vogue boss Anna Wintour" sums up Jack Schlossberg 's irrelevance in life . If he was relevant at all, the headline would have been, "Jack Schlossberg, Grandson of John F. Kennedy, Announces His New Business Direction".

---

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Columbus faces lifeguard shortage as pools prep to reopen" -- Perhaps qualified lifeguards are going to wait until they actually SEE the pools open.. they've been constantly disappointed… and jobless… for years!

---

Online headline: "Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic Relocates To A New Host City: A New Chapter Begins" --  Oh! the Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic is "relocating"... hmmm..  so that's how "getting the "h" out of River City is going to be "sold" locally....

---

WTVM-TV9 Online headline: "Legal Break - Changing Names and Voting Rights" --  Good grief! My bride took our marriage license and had no problems getting her voting records or driver's license changed... You'd think any lawyer would know this....

---

Online headline: "Ban on cell phones in Georgia’s early grades awaits governor’s signature" --  Hey.... kids in elementary school should not have cell phones... taking those away is good ..in fact removing parents who give elementary kids cellphones is not such a bad idea, either ..

---

Online headline: "Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown receives Level III Neonatal Care Facility designation" --  Congratulations Piedmont Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.... especially all the nurses that reassure new parents (and grandparents) their new gifts are safe.

---

Online headline: "Columbus GA Mayor Skip Henderson addresses speculation that City Manager Isaiah Hugley could run for mayor next year" -Hmmm ....  me thinks Mayor Skippy must have attended a Kamala Harris Speech Seminar to learn how to make "Word Salad" speeches... and got an "A+".

---

Online headline: "Confederate symbols are still in places across the US. Activists still want them gone" --  Erasing history, whether by removing statues or rewriting history books,  leaves no reminders of how things have changed from then to now.. but I do have issues with American citizens, foreign immigrants, and illegal aliens flying flags from countries we have engaged in war protecting OUR FLAG and OUR FREEDOM. Our veterans and memories of those who died defending America deserve better!

---

Online headline: "Michelle Obama is tarnishing her legacy by admitting she would rather practice the art of saying ‘No’ than do the right thing" --"Practicing the art"? I'd say she pretty much has it DOWN to an art...

---

Online headline: "ICE Arrest Virginia Man in Court Despite Judge Dropping Charges Against Him" -- Wait a minute!  A county or low level judge cannot dismiss federal charges ... like ILLEGALLY BEING IN OUR COUNTRY!

---

Online headline: "Activist Danielle Moodie Calls for National Strike Against ‘Trumpism’: ‘We’re Running Out of Time to Save Democracy" -- "Save Democracy"?  Hmmm...let me  think...didn't November's election extol Democracy to the HILT? Trump won the popular vote by 2 Million votes; he won the Electoral College vote by 312 to 226; he won 31 of the 50 states; and he won 85% of our nations counties. That's a perfect example of democracy at work for all the people... Hmmm.. maybe “activist Danielle Moodie” should form a protest band to deliver her message… she could call it the “Moodie BLUES”…

---

Online headline: "NY attorney general’s lawyer urges Justice Dept. to reject Trump official’s call for criminal probe" --  Of course her lawyers URGE the DOJ to stop investigating! She's guilty as hell, and has illegally prosecuted as the NY Atty General  because she claimed her primary residence was in Virginia, not NY as required.

---

Speaking of “primary residences”, why hasn’t GA ..or even the US Congress Ethics Committee … charged the Sanford Bishop, D-GA2,  family of having two residences in two of his Districts’ counties with H1 homestead exemptions?

---

Also speaking of Congressman Bishop, he just held his annual Golf fund raising event this week, and again used a golf facility that’s not in his District.. I would think he would want to improve the economy in District before generating facility revues in a Republican represented district…

---

Just thinking about the ambiguousness of reading that school zone speed cameras could be working when blinking lights are not blinking.. because the sign says what the limit is when it's light ARE blinking. Technically, if fines are being levied when the lights are NOT BLINKING, then that makes the school zones "Speed Traps", not safety devices… especially since the Columbus GA Police and Sheriff’s Departments are benefitting from the revenue generated.

---

Columbus GA Council is right about City Officials not being transparent... the latest issue features our City Manager, and it needs to be resolved... but there's also a lack of transparency in our violent crime reports... A solution would be to require the CPD to give an updated  number for the murders for the calendar year every time there is a murder. Also, there should be a constantly updated  incident report to keep records of how many gun shot incidences we're having so that citizens can be kept abreast  of the how dangerous certain areas are.

---

Oh! Make sure Mayor Skippy gets his copy of this:   Update on the Oglethorpe Bridge rebuilding project crossing the Chattahoochee River by "formerly known as Historic Golden Park".. It was announced in Spring of 2021, and now, after dual-state (GA & AL) negotiations, the contract will be "let” in Spring of 2028, and construct starting soon afterwards.. When you think about how the Buena Vista Road Spiderweb bridge is affecting existing businesses in that area, what businesses will want to build a new business venture near the South Commons baseball area. Construction is about to start on a major "government assist apartment complex at the entrance of  the Civic Center, and will probably take 18-24 months then the bridge razing will start in 2028 followed by reconstruction...

---

Online headline: "AOC's brother is forced to deny link to huge fentanyl trafficking crime" --  Hmmm...everybody is so used to Democrats lying every time they speak, now Dems are having a tough time getting anyone to believe them when they deny other's claims.
