What liberals don't get about raising the minimum wage to $31,200.00 ($15 x 40 =$600 times 52 weeks = $31,200.00) is that not every one working is supporting a family of 4, and not everyone working is the sole breadwinner in a family. Also, every job isn't a "career" job.. and some of these jobs are for getting teens acclimated into Real World 101 when parents stop giving out allowances...

For the last 20-25 years, politically correct Power Companies have turned to building wind turbines and solar panel farms which have been built at the detriment of natural gas sources, and half of the wind turbines have frozen over, and solar panels buried which combined account for more than 25% of Texas electricity generating capabilities.

He bought a family house in 2013 for $295,000.00... sat on it a while then had new plans for a new house to build on that property. The $295,000.00 house was torn down and new 6,425 square foot home was erected on that site. Now the FMV by the tax assessor is $334,050.00. Let's see...when you spend $295,000.00 on a tear-down house, you pretty much feel the property alone is worth $295,000.00. Now you build a 6,425 square foot home on that site, and the tax assessor basically feels that the new house is only valued at $39,050.00. Let you Councilor know you want your home FMV to reflect the value to scale based on Burger Boy's home value.

So students in Columbus/MCSD feel the curriculum used isn't diverse enough... hmmm... good grief... In my book, until a student demonstrates mastery of reading level skills at their current grade level, his/her curriculum should be limited to only core subjects.. such as reading and math...well, illiteracy is the biggest stumbling block no student should shackled with for the rest of their lives.

On Monday, it was bad enough having to report how I learned of a 12th Columbus homicide in 2021 right after I posted comments about the 11th Columbus homicide of 2021 on this past Friday. Yesterday, I learned from our Coroner that the homicide number for Columbus is actually 13 (Well assuming yet another one happened last night)! Well, nothing is going to improve things until neighbors in high crime areas... and jurors involved in violent crime deaths... remember that "the police are here to protect us, and that a person's guilt.. or innocence.. should be decided on their character (or lack of such) , than their skin color...
