Personal thought about the dog-napping of Looney GagMe's pets: If I'd been
"walking" someone else's dogs, and people approached with a gun aimed at me, I do believe I'd have quickly handed them the leashes.. I might even volunteer there was a third dog back home, and if they'd wait, I could run get it for them, but there's no way I'd do anything that would provoke them to shoot me.. maybe there was collusion and the shooting a cover-up...

A restaurant in NYC, "Peter Luger" wins this year's "making lemonade out of lemons" Award! The owner has worked out a deal with Madame Tussaud to use celebrity wax dummies to "occupy" tables to buffer other tables according to NY's "safe distancing" regulations. If you can get a seating there this week, you may see Audrey Hepburn, or Jimmy Fallon or other "dummies" sitting close by.. Of course, the restaurant could probably get by cheaper by offering the two Fredo Cuomo brothers free meals to just sit at a table this week.. "safe distancing" would not be am issue.. no one would want to sit close to those two dummies.

WTVM-TV9 headline: "Teenager dies days after being shot at Carver Park in Columbus" -- The 14th...as in 14 homicides... that we know of... in 8 weeks.. that's on a rate of 92 potential homicides in Columbus for 2021... And we thought a record 46 in 2020 was horrible, but this puts us on a homicides per 100,000 at nearly 48 for our city. The Chamber of Commerce must be tickled.... NOT!

 

Update: No sooner than I get the 14th homicide written up when word of number 15 hits the news circuit...another killing in the Wilson Homes area off Veterans Parkway.. God help us! With 15 now, the Homicides per 100,000 in Columbus moves back over 49. This makes Columbus a contender for the Number 1 ranking in the US.
