Newton Gingrich presented a great idea to hold China responsible for all the damages  and grief  caused to American families by Covid-19. Gingrich suggested a 30% tariff on all imports from China and that the receipts be placed on a trust fund for which families can file  lawsuits to recover their losses and get compensated for their pain and suffering.  The tariff would stay on until all the lawsuits  had been satisfied. Correction: I made a typo error in calculating our projected "homicide rate for 2021 based on 31 homicides through May 26th.. I said the annual rate was between 89/90, but when I rechecked my figures, caught my error but forgot to change it in Friday's blog.. The correct rate is between 77/78.. I mention this only because we need o deal in reality... This isn't a relief moment.. this would be a drastic increase over last years RECORD number of 46/47 homicides!

Has anyone else heard of a private sector organization that requires a two-thirds quorum for a meeting to start or continue a meeting? Me neither, but apparently the Texas House of Representatives has one which basically means either party can basically stranglehold legislation by just not being in the building. I could be wrong, but I'll bet that's a policy installed long ago by Democrats... The Democrats used it last night to block improved voting safety legislation.
