Something has to give.. Columbus, GA has a real problem...it's City Manger's wife is also a GA State Representative and also Democrat Whip which means she's hyper-active in "rounding up votes". Unfortunately,  she is a Democrat and her "vote round ups" are generally contrary to Republican Economic strategies, and Democrat "wishes" not generally in Columbus' best interests.

Did anyone see the "explanation" for the "Honey, I shrunk the Carters" picture released to show he Biden/Carter meeting? Seriously, the official White House photographer did not has close-up "regular" lens to use for an indoor photo-op? Like everything disclosed by this White House, that's another LIE.. No professional photographer would not have an 18mm lens (or shorter) .. especially the "White House" photographer, who's main job is to make Presidents (and associated targets) LOOK GREAT!

Why is the Muscogee County costs so much higher than similar distanced projects in Bibb and Meriwether Counties given to the same Marietta, GA contractor?

 

Meriwether County: the project involves the resurfacing of 5.36 miles of Georgia 194 from east of Georgia 18/Chipley Highway and extending west of US 27/Georgia 41/Roosevelt Highway. The contract was awarded to C. W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. of Marietta for $1.2 million. The project is expected to be completed by the end of February 2022.

 

In Bibb County the project involves the resurfacing of 5.206 miles of Georgia 247 from north of US 41 BUS/Georgia 49 and extending south of US 41/Georgia 19. The contract was awarded to C. W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. of Marietta for $2.7 million. The project is expected to be completed by the end of February 2022.
