Hmmm... Now that gas prices have gone back up every day for the last two weeks..do you think Resident Biden's Teleprompter will tell him to admit that inflation and recession are full blown realities?

---
Online story: "A Morgan County judge on Thursday shot down a central component of the $1.5 billion incentive package offered to electric vehicle startup Rivian, a ruling that threatens the future of one of Georgia’s biggest economic development projects. * If the ruling survives a likely appeal, it would not only disrupt the Rivian project, but could provide a pathway for residents in other parts of the state to challenge controversial local property tax breaks to corporations and developers." -- Hey.. Columbus. GA Chamber... are you listening! If you'd like, I'd be glad to find out the phone number you should call to put in a new offer!

---
Online "headLIE"/story: "Warnock bill takes aim at requirements limiting EV tax credit * U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., introduced a bill Thursday to calm foreign-based electric vehicle manufacturers’ fears that recent federal legislation would hurt them financially before a Hyundai EV plant near Savannah could start production. * Under a provision tucked into the Inflation Reduction Act Congress passed last month, EV purchasers would not qualify for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500 unless the vehicles — including their batteries — are made in North America." -- What Warnock did was represent Biden rather than Georgians, and voted FOR the INFLATION bill in August, and is now trying to scrape the crap off his shoes! His "fake bill" will never get to a Senate vote.. much less get signed into a law by Biden...

---
From the " you can't make this stuff up" department - Online headline/story: "Former director accused of stealing funds from Georgia ethics association * The GBI arrested 42-year-old Melissa Branyon Tolbert, a former director of the Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia. She faces five counts of felony theft by taking. Sources told FOX 5 Atlanta she is accused of taking around $100,000 from the COAG." -- And the people who "elected her" need to be investigated as well!

---
Online headline: "Actors’ Equity Endorses Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock’s Re-Election Bid" -- Hmmm.. well.. Warnock certainly has proved himself a good actor... look how long he's got people to believe he's a pastor.. a Christian, and has Georgian's best interests at heart!

Hey.. Resident Biden.. how about assigning a few of the 87,000 new IRS agents to investigate Senator Warnock taking $90,000.00 annually from his church as "parsonage allowance" and not paying taxes on it!

---
Online story: "“If Black men turn out in the numbers and support me at the levels they’re capable of, I can win this election, because we know Black men sometimes punch below their weight class,” Abrams said at the event. * One of those is Tim Black, a Washington commentator who says he’s an independent. He warned in a recent video that it would a be a “slap in the face” to blame Black men if Abrams loses, and that no one has an “obligation” to back her." -- Hmmm... now it looks like Stacey Abrams is going one step further than Resident Biden in chastising Black voters...Biden said that the Blacks who voted for Trump aren't Black enough.. now Stacey Abrams says Black males who vote for Kemp ain't men enough.

Online headline/story: "Atlanta unemployment rebounds while other Georgia cities continue to struggle * WalletHub, a personal finance website, ranked 180 cities nationwide — including the Georgia cities of Atlanta, Augusta and Columbus — based on five metrics, including the unemployment rate in August and how that rate compared to the past few years. * Atlanta ranked 58th and was the only Georgia city in the top half of the list. * Meanwhile, Augusta and Columbus ranked in the bottom half at 129th and 139th. * "While they’ve both registered drops in the number of unemployed people in the past month compared to August 2021 and August 2020, the percentages are some of the lowest in the country - 18-20% compared to last year and about 47% since 2020," Gonzalez said. * "These figures indicate that while Atlanta seems to have bounced back, Augusta and Columbus are slower to recover and are more affected by the current economic struggles that the US is facing," Gonzalez added." -- Hmmm... there's seems to be some .. well.. a LOT OF DISCREPANCY in the stories we "see" here in Columbus, GA...

Hey, Columbus GA Council....What's the latest on the "affordable housing " project called Elliot's Way off Victory Drive.. You remember, don't you.. you gave permission of an elected official to run such a project that state law says she shouldn't... and you gave said elected official something like $12,000,000.00 in T.A.D. tax breaks.. Well remember this from January this year: "The new, affordable homes will cost anywhere from $120,000 to $160,000. There will be 43 single family homes, 56 multi-family homes and 130 units available for people 55 and above. Construction of this housing area will be broken down into several phases, with the first phase including 20 single-family units." -- Well The prices per square foot have pretty doubled since then, so.. let's drop the "affordable housing facade" and come up with a plan that gives the public access to to her books since she will be making.. and controlling ... all the decisions and all the money .. even controlling all the information about the project... A recent story seems to indicate a variance on the number of units that will be "owned" by individuals, so shouldn't Council review all aspects of the T.A.D. decision?

Online headline/story: "Pelosi decimated for claiming illegal immigrants need to stay in Florida to ‘pick the crops down here’ * One outraged former U.S. Senate candidate responded, 'Elitist democrats think Hispanics are only good for picking their crops * During a Friday press conference, Pelosi railed against governors relocating illegal immigrants from southern states to northern ones because they need to stay and "pick the crops down here. * Former U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno tweeted, "Elitist democrats think Hispanics are only good for picking their crops." -- Hmmm... Hey .. PeLOUSY.. that's mighty "Jim Crow" of you... but former candidate Bernie Moreno.. you're missing the biggest point PeLOUSY and the Socialist-Democrats are trying to do... they are trying to bump up the "people" numbers in states to get more Congressional Districts created in the states they feel they need to control the country. They first did this back in the 1990 Census when Democrats got the "are you a US Citizen?" question off the Census Form... and California gained 7 new Districts in 1992 redistricting...

---
Online headline: "Secretary of State Blinken offers 'congratulations' to people of China on Republic of China National Day" -- Hmmm.. wonder if Blinken gave a special "shout-out" to the Fentanyl makers!

---
Online headline: "California Gov. Gavin Newsom signs bill restricting use of rap lyrics as evidence in criminal cases * Rappers Young Thug and Gunna were arrested in Atlanta and their lyrics were used against them in an indictment related to gang-related charges" -- Hmm.. interesting...Newsom has restricted the use of "free speech" in the legal system, but no restrictions of "free speech" using the radio, TV or internet to reach the ears of children... well... no restrictions unless the "free speech" is from conservatives...

---
Online headline: "Department of Justice seeks expedited appeal of special master appointment from 11th Circuit * The Department of Justice says that the special master is slowing down its investigation" -- "Slowing down it's investigation"? Wrong! Just putting a leash on the DOJ witch hunt/kangaroo court!

---
Online headline: "Bill Maher suggests Biden bump Kamala Harris from Dem ticket in 2024: 'I just think she's a bad politician'" -- Hmmm... Bump Chuckles from 2024 ticket? Hmmm.... By 2024, no Democrat will want to be ON THE TICKET with JoKKKe Biden and ruin their career!... "The Democrat Ticket" will probably read "Big Guy & Player To Be Named Later".

---
Online headline: "Washington, DC police officers under investigation after confiscating guns without making arrests * Two sergeants and five officers with the department have been placed on non-contact status" -- Incredible! Of course, Columbus, GA doesn't have a whole lot of room to throw darts at Wash, DC Mayor Bowser.. Columbus just runs unrecorded "buy-backs" of guns ...

---
Dan Quayle was celebrating hard last week.. so Jimmy Carter! Not only has JoKKKE Biden nailed down the "Worst President Ever" title, but Chuckles Harris has cemented her recognition as "Worst VP Ever" as well.

---
WRBL-TV3 story: "COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – A 20-year-old has been shot dead, just steps away from a Columbus Elementary School. * The Columbus Police Department and the Muscogee County School District Police responded to 6195 Georgetown Drive regarding a shooting just after 5:30pm on Friday. The residence sits right across the street from East Columbus Magnet Academy." -- Hmmm... a shooting death across the street from a local elementary school.. guess he and his killer were victims of the school system.. and couldn't read the "No Guns Zone" signs in the neighborhood....

---
Online headline/story: "Poverty In Columbus Rises While National Rates Decline; Local Efforts Backfired * Ten years worth of data reveal the poverty rate in Columbus, Ga. has increased while the state and national rates have largely improved.

Ten years of data reveal the Columbus poverty rate increased while the state and nation largely improved, highlighting an egregious failure of local efforts and policy. * The Fountain City had a poverty rate of 20.6% in 2010, far lower than that of Atlanta’s rate of 26.1% that same year. However, Atlanta decreased its poverty rate all the way down to 19.20% by 2020. The state of Georgia also decreased its poverty rate from 17.9% to 14.3% over the same time frame, while the U.S. rate as a whole dropped from 15.3% down to 12.8%. * Over the same ten-year timeframe from 2010 to 2020, the poverty rate in Columbus, Ga., has remained at roughly 20%. In fact, measuring according to trendline from its lowest poverty rate in 2012 to its most current reported rate in 2020 —an eight year period — shows an increase in the poverty rate among Columbusites. * In 2012, the Fountain City had a poverty rate of 17.9%. That number rose heavily, peaking at a whopping 23.7% in 2017, and then settling within-trend at 20.0% in 2020." -- Hmmm... Looks like a close tie-in with Ex-Columbus, GA Mayor Queen TT Tom-LYING-son's terms of leadership ..and her penchant for feeling a $244,000.00 bathroom was a bargain.

From the "the SEC/NCAA needs a rule review" department - Good grief! Mississippi State got screwed on two calls by the refs, then bowed their backs, pushed Tex A&M back from their goal line, then blocked the FG attempted.... and then ran it back for a TD, and the refs hit State with a 15 yd penalty for excessive celebration! What the heck did the refs expect!

---
From the "Paul Harvey, "Rest of the story" department - Online headline.story: 'Federal judge rules against Abrams-founded voting rights group in Georgia * US District Judge Steve Jones ruled against “Fair Fight Action” on claims over Georgia’s “exact match” voter registration policy, absentee ballot cancellation practices and registration inaccuracies. * “Although Georgia’s election system is not perfect, the challenged practices violate neither the constitution nor the VRA (Voting Rights Act). As the Eleventh Circuit notes, federal courts are not “the arbiter[s] of disputes’ which arise in elections; it [is] not the federal court’s role to ‘oversee the administrative details of a local election” Jones wrote in the ruling. * “Judge Jones’ ruling exposes this legal effort for what it really is: a tool wielded by a politician hoping to wrongfully weaponize the legal system to further her own political goals. In Georgia, it is easy to vote and hard to cheat – and I’m going to continue working to keep it that way.”" -- If you remember Paul Harvey's "radio moments", he'd spin a story and leave you hanging until he resumed following a "commercial break".. then he;d finish by revealing an unknown fact that completed the story... such is this.. Judge Jones is both Black and a Democrat appointed by Obama.. and he respects the Constitution too much to give in to Stacey Abrams.. besides... even Stacey Abrams cannot verify a GA address for Mickey Mouse's absentee votes..

Online headline: "Indonesian soccer match stampede leaves 125 dead" -- 125 people trampled to death? Soccer can no longer be called "football"... Now it's "foot-brawl"!

---
This is... was.... so cool! WRBL-TV3 story" "COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Saturday afternoon when Ole Miss takes the field in Oxford against Kentucky, the Rebels’ helmets will have a distinctive Columbus look. * Ole Miss announced this week that the helmets will feature a pattern from Realtree, a Columbus, GA-based outdoor apparel and video company. * Realtree CEO and founder Bill Jordan played at Ole Miss in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s — one of Archie Manning’s receivers." -- And this is "hard" for me to do since I'm a "Hail STATE" guy, but value my lifelong friendship with Bill, his bother and sister, and parents even more.

SNL "BLEW IT"! Saturday Night in it's season opener..It should have cast Donald Trump playing Alec BALDWIN, and Max Headroom cast as Resident Biden...
