I was somewhat taken aback by our Mayor's comment about the Ralston Housing situation being something he "inherited" indicating that he sorta seemed to wanna wash his hands of it... but he cannot say that the Columbus GA Police staff shortages are something he "inherited".. He was a Councilor when the 2008 Public Safety LOST was presented by Council to correct a 100 person "need" within the Columbus GA Police Department, and now he been the Head of Public Safety for 5 years and not only have we not gotten those 100 more police officers, now it's apparent we need even more. Hope the Police Chief Headhunter informs all the candidates that the Mayor/City Manager haven't been that supportive of helping the Police Chief's primary issues.

Thinking a bit more about the Delaware judge who squashed Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart plea deal”, we may have to look a bit closer as to what it means.. there are “statute of limitations” on some of the charges..  particularly the gun one… that could become “moot”… “non-prosecutable” … if nothing gets done before some date in October… Nothing is going to happen to the Delaware prosecutors.. they can always say they had reached a deal, and didn’t have time to make another one before the statute of limitations ran out. One organization feels asking for and spending millions of dollars to build a bigger food storage warehouse is the answer to food supply shortages, while another feels Columbus, GA can solve it's homeless issues by taking in/on homeless people from Opelika, AL while Opelika officials are willing to pay to have them sent to Columbus.
