WRBL-TV3 Online headline/story: “Columbus State University pours into community for annual Day of Service * Over 200 Columbus State University students and staff members made a positive impact across the Fountain City for their annual Day of Service. * For over 15 years, CSU’s annual Day of Service has provided students, faculty and staff an opportunity to benefit the community. The event gives students the chance to gain better insight on how community outreach benefits the city. * Student volunteers worked with Columbus High School and Paws Humane Society, going into schools, organizing learning materials in media centers and sorting through donated pet food. “ -- Hmmm ... while we proudly applaud volunteer service, monetizing it cheapens it.. but looking at how valuable CSU monetizes times needs a little perspective. Some 600 student/staff participated for about 3 hours each for a total of 1,800 hours at a CSU calculated value of $29.67 per hour... hmmm about $17,802.00. ... Now, if CSU students all graduated, and got full-time 40 hour a week jobs at $29.67 per hour, they'd be pulling in better than $60,000.00 a year... Hmmm..in other words , CSU values these volunteer hours cleaning up other people's work more valuable than first year teachers, first year police and fire department, nurses. In fact, CSU values that volunteer time a lot more valuable than most.. if not all... frontline workers with several years of experience. HEY...CSU.. a pat on the back for getting about 200 hundred (out of about 8,000) students/staff out volunteering, but not for calculation of monetary value

Online story: Amber Longacre said she was attempting to enroll her child into Kitty Hawk Middle School, part of the Judson (Texas) Independent School District, when she was given an iPad with an NDA to sign upon entering the building, the Daily Caller first reported. The NDAs were removed from the sign-in process after Longacre brought it to the district's attention, a spokesperson told Fox News in a statement. * "I shared my story because I want to encourage other parents to speak up when something seems off," Longacre told Fox News. "There is no way to know how many parents signed the NDA without asking any questions." -- You know, while the NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) was quickly rescinded, only a system of indoctrination would try to conceal what's going on in a school from parents and the public.

Went to a special gathering honoring one of Columbus’ most prolific pastors in celebration of him and his bride’s 20 years of service to our church and community. Numerous local and state politicos stood and praised… honored…. them during the event… and as they talked about them, one thing crossed my mind… Our pastor and his bride have probably done more good for Columbus in the last 20 years than any of the politicos…

Online headline: “Alabama to be first state to execute prisoner using pure nitrogen, setting off debate on death penalty methods” – Hmmm… Quick and certain are definitely the right choice! I still don't know why a firing squad isn't the preferred method.. one hollow-point bullet to the heart or forehead would be quick, certain, and CHEAP!

Online story: ”On Aug. 25, in Columbus, Georgia, a live broadcast showed players from Carver and Spencer High School suddenly lying on the field as trainers and staff members began to run off. A live broadcast of the game, shown on Georgia Alabama Sports Live and posted to social media by WRBL sports reporter Jack Patterson, has audio of spectators screaming as the commentators were trying to figure out what was happening. * On Aug. 26, WRBL reported that the Columbus Police Department arrested three juveniles that night in connection to the incident. Three guns, and one that was reportedly stolen, were confiscated from two 15-year-olds and one 16-year-old.The reports of gunshots during the altercation could not be confirmed by the school district.” -- Hmmm… At least guns are now be acknowledged... officials are still denying any shots were fired, but seeing the video of fans running, and players diving to the ground tells us differently !

Online headline/story: “Biden plans to ask Congress for funding to develop new COVID vaccine, may require shot for all” -- Good grief! Resident Biden's dementia is becoming more evident... not only has he forgotten the 1st Amendment he swore an oath to defend, he's forgotten he declared the pandemic over, and he's forgotten none of his and Fauci's tactics worked. Guess he's worried "Big Pharma" will forget donating to him in 2024.
---
You know, if Resident Biden wants to invoke mandates for vaccines and masks, the he better "mandate" that no pandemic supplies can be made by and imported from China.
---
Excuse me… but why does Biden feel it's his job to authorize a new COVID vaccine... Shouldn't have "Big Pharma" for seen the opportunity and been working on it last year?
---
Unbelievable! Last week, Chuckles Harris said the courts discriminated against American job seekers, yet, last week also, the Biden-Harris Administration filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk for not allowing illegal aliens apply for jobs at his companies. Talk about one LEFT Hand not knowing what the other LEFT Hand is doing...

Online headline/story: “Texas sends 10th migrant bus to Los Angeles after mayor decries move as 'political act' * LA Mayor Bass said, "LA has not extended an invitation asking for people to come. This is a political act."-- Wait a minute ... LA has committed itself to being a "sanctuary city" so Bass should welcome all these new "criminals".

From the “another liberal “good idea” shot down” department – Online story: “Belgian researchers tested 39 straw brands from restaurants and retailers for synthetic chemicals known as poly and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The study found that the majority of straws contained those chemicals, but they were most common in those made from paper and bamboo. * The chemicals are referred to as "forever chemicals" as they can remain for thousands of years in the environment. The chemicals have been associated with health issues including thyroid disease, increased cholesterol, liver damage and kidney and testicular cancer and can harm the environment as well.” – Sadly… libs have no sense of humor when it comes to their ideas being outed as “not so smart as they thought”….even sadder is they’ll try to get more politicians elected to support their errors anyway..

Online headline: “Biden admin launches push to expand voter registration at citizenship ceremonies” – Hmmmm…. With Biden's border policies allowing millions of illegal aliens enter our country, then , before any one is allowed to become a naturalized citizen in the U S, all applicants should have proof of entering the country legally to begin with.
---
Online “headLIE”: “DOJ weighing potential charges against Bob Menendez following criminal probe into gifts to his wife” – Good grief.. Menendez has already been cleared of worse crimes in previous DOJ investigations.. so… so this is just another diversionary tactic to give CNN something else to talk about when they run out of way to avoid talking about Biden and Harris..
---
Online “headLIE”: “Cornel West roasts Dems as 'spoiler' polls roil the left: Neither party holds 'ownership' of the voters” -- Good grief! No 3rd Party candidates will pull any Democrat votes from Biden....or any other Democrat.. Democrats vote FOR single issues and AGAINST every Republican or 3rd Party candidate…..
---
Online headline: “Williams, Tramell again for West Point mayor” – Hmmm…Wish Columbus GA held it's local elections on the November General Election date...As it is, our 2024 local Mayoral election will be held on Super Tuesday Primary day on March 4th, but winner won't begin his/her term until January of 2025.
---
Random thought... With the current Columbus GA Government Center scheduled to be razed to the ground, where will WTVM move it's "Sky-Cam"?
---
No sooner than a temporary sign at the Bob Poydasheff VA Clinic off River Road in Columbus, GA was installed, the old sign, which had been knocked over 2 months ago, suddenly was re-erected.. Now there are two signs competing to tell you where you are. I do wonder how long that the temporary sign will stay up, and where it will be stored in case it's needed again.

Online story: “Montgomery County (Maryland) Public Schools (MCPS) is charging a parental rights group more than $18K to fulfill a public records request. * MCPS will charge Parents Defending Education $18,290.96 to obtain public records of correspondence about the district banning parental opt-out policies for its gender and sexuality curriculum, according to a letter released by the organization. * "We estimate that the fee to complete your request will be $18,290.96. This is based on 440 hours by a communications specialist in the Department of Communications at an hourly rate of $41.11 and three hours by an attorney in the Office of General Counsel at an hourly rate of $67.52," the letter said, noting it will proceed with the request after payment.” --- To begin with, if it takes 440 hours to retrieve specific information off a computer, the whole IT department should be fired! Secondly, the Mom is right.. this is a school administration tactic to hide PUBLIB INBFO from the PUBLIC.. that’s about the perfect example of an OXYMORON…Hey.. don’t think it doesn’t happen here in Columbus, GA either! In 2015, I asked for specific info about a Harris County student being admitted to Columbus High School ahead of Muscogee County students when admittance was reserved for up to 100 Ft Benning student who were expect under a Post Realignment program expected (wrongly) to boost personnel at Ft Benning. I was told it would cost me $177.00 to get… the woman was shocked when I agreed to it and a week later I got the files… of course, none of the files was in an orderly matter .. they were mixed formats, and each file was turned in a different direction that the file preceding and following it.. I did mention this to a now former School Board member who sheepishly apologized.. Everything they could do to make this a bad experience was tried…

One thing really was retro during the Republican Debate...Ass-a Hutchinson .. when talking, seemed to mimic George "W" Bush with his hand motions. SNL will have to bring Dana Carvey out of retirement if Arkansas' Ass-a wins.

Online headline: “Biden booed by onlookers while speaking to press in Lake Tahoe, California” --Hmmm...."Let's Go Brandon" seems to be the preferred chant for the Re-Elect JoKKKe Campaign.
You know.. it’s sorta pathetic that Resident Boden feels that when people yell, “Let’s Go Brandon”, or talk about “Bidenomics”, that they are complementing him .
---
This past week, we learned that a serving Senator can not exceed.. legally... earning more than $30,000.00 annually from jobs outside his Senate pay...That means that JoKKKe Biden, who had Senate income of less than $175,000.00 and with the max $30,000.00 more, a total of less than $205,000.00 to keep homes in Delaware and Washington. (Plus his wife's reaching salary). 50 years of an extra $30K income is "but" $1.5 Million accumulatively... How could he amass the amount of money needed to buy two multi-million dollar homes in Delaware? Maybe we do need those 87,000 new IRS agents.. just to comb through Biden's tax records and all those shell companies China sends money to .

Online headline: “Former Ukraine prosecutor makes explosive claims against Joe and Hunter Biden in new interview: -- First. it was a loan guarantee... basically.. Bleep Veep Biden signed as a "cosigner" using our tax dollars.. Now, did Ukraine pay back the loan or forfeit it so we taxpayers were stuck with Biden's "quid pro Joe"?

Can you believe that the Mayor of Shicago is suing KIA and Hyundai for not including an “engine shutdown” in it’s entry level models so if those cars are stolen, they can be shut off electronically. I tell you what… buyers of cars WITH the ability to do do should file a class action suit AGAINST the Shicago Mayor for not making stealing cars such a lucrative “occupation” for gangs and other thugs.

Online headline: “It's really no mystery why Christians are so loyal to Trump... Remember when Pontius Pilot was trying to let Jesus go, and the liberals wanted Jesus to die rather than a real criminal like Barabbas? Well... 2000 years later, the liberals want to kill Trump and let Biden go free.

Online headline: “Biden alcohol czar says US may follow Canada, limit beers to two a week: 'what a joke” -- Two beers a week limit... Hmmm.. betcha even "DUD Light" won't try a comeback if that's all anyone can drink...Wait a minute... Now we know WHY Biden wants 87,000 new IRS Agents...he can send one to every sports bar in America to arrest any bar owners who sell anyone more than 1.
---
When mortgage rates reach the high rates like the industry is now experiencing, it's not inflation to blame, it's basically because banks don't want to loan “deflated” money out and risk having to take over physical ownership.
---
You know, if the liberal enviro-wacko of New England states were serious about "green" and "sustainable" energy, they would ban Venezuelan heating oil and go totally solar/wind for heat in the winter months…
---
Online headline; "Bill Barr Makes Prediction on Trump's Potential Conviction" -- Hmmm.. Bill Barr? How about Bill BARF! ... as in "makes me BARF"! You know, BARF would show he's more in tune with the facts if he had said he was predicting the probable "not guilty" jury decisions.

Seems my comments about the $650,000.00 "room&deck" expansion has touched a nerve in Lakebottom Park users... everyone aghast at what's obviously a waste of donations. Maybe the Girl Scouts might want to rebid this out with other contractors..
---
Who actually owns the property at Lake bottom where the Girl Scouts' "Little House" sits? It shows up on an area map in the public tax database, but there's no info for 1807 17th St here in Columbus, GA.

From the “How to demonstrate one’s own stupidity in 11 words..” department – Online “headLIE”: “Christie says Trump as 2024 GOP nominee means 4 more years of Biden” – “Trump as 2024 GOP nominee means 4 more years of Biden”? Hmmm… Which party is Christie trying to support? Democrats know better than the RNC… that is why Democrats are spending so much money and time on trying to get Trump defeated in the Primaries, the RNC split, and conservative and Independent voters discouraged…
