WTVM-TV9 headline: "Columbus GA  city funds cleared of mismanagement by external auditor" -- Where to start... this "pat" answer of "no  mismanagement  of City funds" is unacceptable.. even reducing the initial amounts involved to a lower amount still demonstrates Columbus GA's officials and management MISMANAGED  those funds at the time, and for years afterward. Columbus citizens should also be assured that precautions have been taken that the scenario. cannot be repeated. And as far as trusting projected crimes will be lower is probably built on the new policy that when citizens call 911  to report a crime, victims are being told police officers are not going to be sent to write up/investigate said crime.. In other words, citizens will have to remember (willingly) to go online, manipulate the Columbus GA Police Department website, and file the report themselves.. besides the obvious facts that many victims won't do this because of computer or other issues, many reports will be filed to initiate fraudulent insurance claims and “doxing” plus legitimate victims will not have an official City policeman who can be called on as a witness to the claims facts! Columbus GA's Council needs to override this dastardly adopted policy!

Democrats have gone rogue! One of their lower federal judges has ruled Secretary of the Treasury Bessent cannot open the Treasury "books" to look for fraud and waste. Imagine running a business where you, as CEO/COO could not look at your bank accounts to see where you stand! Wait a minute... I'm getting a sense of Deja Vu... I'm thinking about the financial situations we are experiencing right here in Columbus, GA..the current public block on the external audits findings which neither the City Manager nor Mayor Skippy the Poo seem to know anything about.. this and that fiasco generated by former Deputy Clerk of the Muscogee County Court System, Willie Demps, involving unknown millions of dollars/fines...most of which are still unaccounted for... even though Demps has been convicted in Federal Court and is currently incarcerated.
