What is going on .. a couple of years ago, a previous Columbus GA Council gave huge tax breaks to Neighbor Works President Cathy Williams for an "affordable housing" project off Victory Drive on Leslie Dr and Hal's Way. I tried to check on progress in the City's tax database, but info is not available. There are houses there.. I rode by and saw them, but why aren't the records up to date.. Perhaps more investigation is needed in the tax/finance offices... We did have a retirement and a firing and there should have been two more employees at least put on leave..

Online headline: "Houston County School board approves $638M budget for 2026, prioritizes teacher pay and staffing" --  Hmmm... After looking at Houston County GA's 2025/26 School Budget for a slightly smaller system than our own Columbus GA one, I took a look at our system's budget.. While smaller than Houston County's, our budget is over a HALF-BILLION Dollars for next year... but a couple of items really caught my attention... over $16 MILLION worth of collected tax revenues are paying for DEBT SERVICE! We need a law that prohibits our School Board from borrowing money against future E-SPLOST revenues! If the debt service is at, say,  4% bond interest, it means the MCSD has saddled Columbus taxpayers with $400,000,000.00 in debt (that's not even shown on the budget)!

The other item is nearly $1.8 Million is budgeted for Federal Grant Administration. Well, since President Trump is going to eliminate the Federal DOE, we don't need a $1.8 Million dollar staff of specific pencil-pushers!

Phase one of the DemoKrat agenda is to influence more Congressional Districts in BLUE states, by adding 11,000,000 heads to count in the next Census could move/build 15 Blue Congressional Districts and diminish 15 Red Congressional Districts which would be a 30 Congressional swing in Congress which would have a huge effect on controlling the House tipping the budget towards Blue State social programs.
