Columbus L-E headline: "Mayor says paused Columbus city manager search ‘misrepresented,' announces restart” -- By Columbus GA Mayor Skippy the POO choosing NOT to name  our Deputy City Manager Pam Hodge as the NEW City Manager by this time has pretty much destroyed her reputation...(the other Deputy CM,  Lisa Goodwin in on "Retirement Track" for the end of December 2026 just before the new Mayor takes office in January of 2027).  Now, whomever he names will probably be the basis for a racial or gender discrimination suit by Hodge in the future...

WTVM-TV9 online headline: "Citizens raise concerns about ICE flights at Columbus Airport" --  Good grief! Purportedly,  two..  TWO ...Columbus GA residents (but only 1 is mentioned) complained about illegal aliens being flown in and out of Columbus' airport by ICE and transferred to the Stewart County Detention Center, and WTVM-TV9 feels this is newsworthy! If any complaint about illegal aliens being flown into Columbus GA merited a citizen complaint.... or WTVM-TV9 news story, it should have been about the Biden Administration flying illegal aliens into Columbus GA's airport and letting them out to live in our community!

WTVM-TV9 "headLIE"/story: "Columbus Council approves $3.3M housing development for South Columbus * Columbus City Council approved a $3.3 million grant Tuesday night to address the city’s affordable housing shortage by building new homes on Farr Road in South Columbus. * The project will transform a former mobile home park into 62 energy-efficient single-family homes, according to NeighborWorks of Columbus, which is spearheading the development. * “We are going to have 62 energy efficient single family homes. It’s going to be about 8 to 10 minutes from our latest development Elliott’s Walk,” a NeighborWorks representative said." --  First.. ain't no way 62 houses will be built for $3.3 Million... that's $54,000 a pop.. but what's worse is Council has already given huge millions in grants and tax breaks to NeighborWorks to "Elliott's Walk" which is far from complete, and most of the the current houses there do not fit in the proposed range that was considered "affordable"...some are over $200K.
