Looking up something else, I ran across this story that was slipped into the holiday news stream so it would get very little notice, but… it’s still wreaks of corruption: Online story: “ The House Committee on Ethics said Monday it has closed investigations into four members — a Democrat and three Republicans — regarding allegations over the personal use of campaign funds. * In a news release, on December 31, 2024, the committee said there was evidence the campaigns of Rep. Sanford Bishop, D-Ga., and Republican Reps. Alex Mooney of West Virginia and Wesley Hunt and Ronny Jackson of Texas did not fully comply "with the applicable standards relating to personal use of campaign funds, as well as reporting or recordkeeping requirements for campaign expenditures." * "However, there was no evidence that any member intentionally misused campaign funds for their personal benefit," the committee said.” – You know, this was about Congressman Bishop using campaign funds to pay for gas for him and his wife;  Golf course dues, and other personal perks. He was “allowed” to pay the funds back” rather than be penalized by Congress or IRS… The political campaign account laws need to be updated, and include closing all campaign accounts upon a candidate retiring/resigning or losing an election with the funds being turned over to the state treasury of a District or State official, or to a the local government is local situations..

Got an e-mail this weekend.. obviously using the DemoKrat’s donation request e-mail list… from “Amnesty International” exhorting it’s “global army movement’ of 10,000,000 strong asking for a suggested $100.00 donation (well, $103.00 if you’ll also pay a processing fee as well). Hmmm… if Amnesty International just collected $100.00 from its “global army” of 10,000,000, they would get a BILLION alone.. that or just beg Soros to keep funding it… You know, more than enough of other people’s money  is never enough for liberals..

While we are shocked.. well, disgusted... at the fraud in government programs being revealed in Minnesota, but don't it's isolated to Minnesota. 16 years ago when my bride and I opened a business on Broadway in Columbus GA, we got a landline to conduct bank transactions as well as booking events.. of course, the number we got was previously assigned to someone else, who, as we soon learned, had been on at least two state social programs.. How did we know...because we got multiple recorded-phone-calls every week asking "US" to come back to their program... because... they would lose jobs there if they didn't get more recipients asking for help.. I cannot imagine it being any different today.
