Whatta GOVERNMENT SCAM! Cook County, IL...(basically, Shicago) has permatized a "universal income" program giving low/moderate income families $500 a month ( $6,000 annually) by allocating $7,500,000 to the program...Good grief! Even if a scam proof system of family selection could be created, Cook County has a population of over 5,000,000 people and over 2,000,000 households, and by Census data, a family poverty rate of over 10% (over 200,000 households). Now, the Cook County "universal income" program can fund a TOTAL of 1,250 HOUSEHOLDS out of 200,000. Well, 1,250 households if the "universal income" program is only  handled by a volunteer "no pay" staff.

Tis the season! We're seeing ads asking people to donate their unneeded cars to charities and benefit as a tax donation.... but they are not being completely open to what your benefit will be... You may look up the value and see a nice figure that looks favorable, but that won't necessarily be your tax deduction. Once you sign the ownership over, the new owner doesn't necessarily even ask near what you thought the car is worth.. that $10,000.00 car in your mind could easily be gotten rid of for half...or even less.. than that, and you only get the tax deduction for the final number.

Hmmmm ...hey, Columbus GA Council...and Mayor Skippy the POO.... remember last Spring when now fired "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley spent a ton of money on ads and t-shirts proclaiming he was gonna clean off our "rights of way" from all those roadside sales & political ad signs .. Hey Skippy, you're falling down on the job.... there are a couple of political ads in the right of way along the 600 block of Mobley Road that need to be removed.. hmm...maybe Mayor Skippy needs to rethink his decision to be the temp City Manager and name a new one now.
