Now we here of a data center south of Atlanta was outed for draining some 29 MILLION gallons out of an Atlanta water source 20 miles north of the actual Data Center site.. Residents in an affluent are inbetween had noticed a huge drop in their water pressure, and found that two taps were made but no record was written nor any bills sent.. After the discovery (for a period that is between 4 and 10 years) was noted, the Data Center promptly paid some $150,000 dollars in back billings...The data center at water works feel every thing is just fine now... but,,, one thing not discussed is that the data center CFO had to know water bills were not showing up nor being paid... and did nothing about it!

Apparently "Trees Columbus" has planted a number of small trees in the Shirley Winston Parks and Rec Center... I'm wondering who's gonna water these new trees during the hot summer months we'll be getting? Most "grants" (read: MONEY taken out of our pockets by taxes then returned partially with STRINGS ATTACHED!) can't be used for maintenance.

Received an article from a fellow BCer about the SEC Conference Softball Championship game to be held at a neutral site in Madison, Alabama (sorta near Huntsville).. for the next 4 years… My BCer wondered why, with the Olympic quality softball stadium and complex we have here in Columbus GA didn’t nail this… and I do, too.. Madison isn’t he “county seat”, and is not exactly a easy access city of about 67,000, so you know it doesn’t  have the number of accommodations to house big crowds like Columbus, GA does.. I hope Council asks the Columbus Sports Authority to comment on this…
